Chapter 11 is ridiculously wrong

Yin Han arrived at the auto repair shop as usual.

Wang Dali immediately stepped forward and said in a consultative tone, "Xiao Han, someone specifically asked you to fix something, the same person who gave you a tip last time. Now he's given you a difficult job. You'll get this much for fixing it."

Wang Dali held up one finger as he spoke.

Yin Han nodded without any hesitation.

Then, without saying a word, he changed his clothes a few days later and crawled under the car.

He didn't pay attention to the faint blood seeping from the gauze on his wrist.

Meanwhile, Nan Sheng's legs were aching from standing at the door. Undeterred, she knocked again, but still no one answered.

Is nobody home?

Suddenly, the sound of a door opening made Nan Sheng's eyes light up. She thought it was Yin Han opening the door, but when she looked up, she realized it was not Yin Han, but the sound of the door opening behind her.

"Hello, are you here to see Xiaohan?" Li Xiaomei looked Nan Sheng up and down.

She smiled kindly, and indeed, she was a fair-skinned beauty; no wonder Xiao Han liked her so much.

Seeing that it was an elderly woman and that she recognized Yin Han, she immediately stepped forward and asked with a smile, "Grandma, hello, I'm Yin Han's friend. He doesn't seem to be home. Do you know where he went?"

Li Xiaomei answered irrelevantly: "Little girl, are you from the south of the city?"

Nan Sheng nodded vigorously, wondering how the old lady knew: "Grandma, how did you know?"

Li Xiaomei smiled and said, "Look at people. Nancheng knows how to raise people. Look at you, so fair and tender, and so well-behaved and pretty."

No one dislikes being praised, and Nan Sheng is no exception, especially since she is a kind old lady.

"Thank you, Grandma. As for Yin Han?" Nan Sheng mainly wanted to know where he was.

"Xiaohan, you've gone to work. Why don't you come in and wait for Grandma for a while?" Li Xiaomei actually had her own reasons. Her grandson liked this girl, and since they had finally met, she couldn't just ignore him.

"Is it okay?!" Nan Sheng felt a pang of sadness when she heard that Yin Han had gone to work, thinking of the food he had eaten at the school cafeteria today. She couldn't wait to be closer to him, so how could she refuse this grandmother in front of her?

But wouldn't that be too much trouble for them?

"Yes, I usually cook and wait for him to come home from school so we can eat together."

Li Xiaomei hurriedly opened the door.

Hearing her grandmother say this, Nan Sheng knew that her relationship with Yin Han must be quite good, and she might even know what Yin Han had been doing lately.

Following her inside, Nan Sheng subconsciously frowned, not because it was dirty; on the contrary, it was very clean and tidy.

Seeing that Nan Sheng didn't react, Li Xiaomei quickly took out a stool and wiped it with a clean towel: "Miss, the conditions here aren't very good, but please make do with this seat, okay?"

Li Xiaomei hurriedly wiped her hands and tried to pull Nan Sheng along, but then stopped, as if she had thought of something.

"Grandma, it's alright. This place is very comfortable. You can just call me Nan Sheng." Nan Sheng sat down, and she was telling the truth.

Although there is no luxurious furniture here, it has everything you need. Upon entering, there is a small bed that is about 1.2 meters wide. The kitchen and toilet are separated by a cloth. Outside the kitchen, there are many waste papers and empty bottles neatly arranged, and the floor is clean and tidy.

It gives people the feeling that although it is small, it has all the vital organs.

"Okay, do you want some water?" Li Xiaomei suddenly realized that she didn't have a water cup at home and was afraid that the little girl would be unhappy.

"Grandma, no need to trouble yourself, I'm not thirsty. Why don't you sit down and talk to me about Yin Han?" Nan Sheng seemed to know what Li Xiaomei was thinking, so she didn't ask for water.

“Okay.” Li Xiaomei sat down next to Nan Sheng.

"Grandma, can you tell me where Yin Han works? Or what time will he be back?" Nan Sheng wished she could appear in front of him right now.

A hint of doubt flashed in Li Xiaomei's eyes as she looked at Nan Sheng. It was so obvious that she liked Xiao Han, so why would she not want him anymore?

"Grandma doesn't know that there's no set time for her to come back."

Nan Sheng lowered her head in disappointment.

"Grandma, how did you meet Yin Han? Can you tell me?" Not knowing his address, Nan Sheng thought she could find out how he had spent the past six months through her grandmother.

Li Xiaomei hesitated, unsure whether she should speak or not, thinking about how strong Yin Han's reaction would be when he found out she was coming.

She knew that Xiaohan had a strong sense of pride; she had known that since the first day she came back here.

Nan Sheng was now at least twenty-five years old, no longer a teenage girl. She understood: "Grandma, do you know me? Has Yin Han mentioned me to you? Or have you known Yin Han for a long time?"

Nan Sheng knew Yin Han well; he was a man of few words, and he would only speak a few words to acquaintances. In the past six months, he would never have spoken to anyone else.

However, in her previous life, she had known him for so long, but this grandmother had never appeared, which puzzled her.

What Nan Sheng didn't know was that Yin Han trusted this grandmother again on a night when she didn't want him anymore.

"No, I met him near the station in May. At that time, he..."

Li Xiaomei told her how she met Yin Han and how they came back here together. For the first month, Yin Han and she squeezed into this rented room and slept on the floor. Later, Yin Han took a part-time job and rented the room across the hall.

In fact, Li Xiaomei had enough money saved up for her daily expenses, but Yin Han was unwilling to accept it. Then, two months ago, when she went to collect recyclables, she suddenly fainted and went to the hospital for a checkup, where she was diagnosed with liver cancer.

Yin Han asked her to be hospitalized for treatment, but she refused because she felt that she was already on her deathbed and there was no need for it, and she did not want to be a burden to Yin Han.

Yin Han was unwilling, but after much persuasion, she agreed to take the medicine regularly every month, and only then did she give up.

Li Xiaomei knew that from then on, he came home later and later. She tried to persuade him, but Yin Han's words, "Grandma, you are all I have left," touched her deeply.

“Nan Sheng, he didn’t tell me everything, but I know that no matter how you treated him before, he always had you in his heart. When I saw him today, he was hurting himself, squatting in a corner and crying silently. He said to me, ‘Grandma, she’s here, but I can’t get close to her.’”

So the moment I saw you, I knew you were the Sheng Sheng from the South City he had mentioned.

Xiaohan was probably very afraid of being abandoned, so in the short few months we'd known each other, he worked tirelessly to earn money to pay for my medical treatment. He's very filial.

Nan Sheng cried for as long as Li Xiaomei spoke.

She realized that she was really, really wrong.

Because she didn't want him anymore, he lost the will to live the moment he stood in the alley at the train station.

At this moment, Nan Sheng was very grateful to the grandmother in front of her. In fact, Yin Han was a very good person. Although he didn't like to talk, he would do his best to protect anything he cared about.
