Extra Chapter: If Nan Sheng Believes in Yin Han

Note: The following side stories should not be connected with the main text, as they are all hypothetical scenarios, so just treat them as another possibility.

Let's go back to when Yin Han was sixteen and Nan Sheng was fifteen, the most dazzling year of their youth, during the winter break after their first year of high school (which was also the year after their birthdays when their relationship completely exploded).

In the Nan family home, Yin Han sat in the room without turning on the lights, looking out the window at his desk, seemingly lost in thought.

If you look closely, you can see his reddened eyes.

190 days have passed (those who have forgotten can read chapter 64, where Yin Han has a recollection), and Sheng Sheng really is ignoring him.

What should he do? Sheng Sheng is really angry.

He not only didn't want his gift, he didn't even want him anymore.

Yin Han tightly hugged the three gifts that Nan Sheng had just thrown to the ground, and the boy could no longer hold back his tears.

Lu Zhicheng is so annoying! He was the one who killed Luckly.

Sheng Sheng really hates him now.

Sheng Sheng was angry with him for a long time, something that had never happened before. She had been angry before, but at most she would be coaxed back in less than a day and forgive him quickly.

Although she was very angry about Luckly's incident, he thought that as long as he kept coaxing her and apologizing, she wouldn't hate him even if she didn't forgive him.

But now almost a year has passed, and Sheng Sheng is still very angry and dislikes him more and more.

the next day.

The Nan family home was quiet downstairs. It wasn't that no one had gotten up, but rather that the servants were all minding their own business and dared not make a sound. They all knew about the commotion in the living room last night.

Young Master Han and Miss Nan had another argument. Strictly speaking, it was Miss Nan who was angry on her own.

It wasn't until Nan Lingtian came out of the kitchen with breakfast for Yang Silin that Yang Silin spoke first: "Sheng Sheng and Xiao Han haven't come down yet?"

They all know what happened last night.

Nan Lingtian shook his head: "Probably not."

"This can't go on. How about we get Sheng Sheng a baby like Luckly?"

“That won’t do. Don’t you know your own daughter’s personality? Ultimately, she has to figure it out herself. Why don’t you go and talk to her?” Nan Lingtian sat next to Yang Silin, stirring the porridge in her bowl as he spoke.

"Okay, otherwise I feel like Xiaohan will become depressed."

In fact, both of them knew Yin Han's feelings for Nan Sheng, but they pretended not to know. In the end, the fate of the two children would depend on the other's feelings.

Not long after, footsteps came from the stairwell, and Yin Han came down.

Upon seeing this, Yang Silin smiled and said, "Xiao Han, come and have breakfast."

"Good morning, Daddy Nan and Mommy Nan."

Although Yin Han was preoccupied with Nan Sheng, he still restrained himself considerably in front of his elders.

Since his relationship with Sheng Sheng entered a cold war, he has been very uneasy and awkward when facing the two elders, just like when he first came to the Nan family.

"Xiaohan, did you sleep well last night?"

Nan Lingtian moved the breakfast that Yin Han liked to the front of him.

"Dad Nan, everything is fine."

"Shall we go to the company with Dad Nan today for some training?"

“Okay!” Yin Han did not refuse; the matter of going to the company to learn had been discussed long ago.

Actually, when Yin Han graduated from junior high school, Nan Lingtian wanted Yin Han to come to the company to learn, and he would personally mentor her, but Yang Silin stopped him.

They said that the child already had enough of studying, and hadn't had much time to play before having to study and work, so it wasn't too late to start later, which is why it's been delayed until now.

Yin Han ate his breakfast listlessly, glancing at Nan Sheng's table every now and then. Seeing that Nan Sheng hadn't come down yet, his mood plummeted to rock bottom.

The two people beside him saw right through Yin Han's little scheme. They exchanged a glance, their expressions unreadable.

Nan Sheng didn't come down until Yin Han finished breakfast, so he had to go to the company with Nan's father first, and then come back to continue coaxing her.

******

A black Bentley was driving at a steady speed on the highway.

Nan Lingtian and Yin Han sat in the back seat of the car.

"Xiaohan, how have you been lately? Shengsheng still has a bit of a temper that's hard to control. If you're not feeling well, she probably isn't feeling much better either. I've also asked Nan's mother to talk to her."

Upon hearing this, Yin Han felt somewhat guilty: "It's alright, it was my fault to begin with. I made her angry, but I'll continue to coax her."

Nan Lingtian was amused by Yin Han's serious and persistent expression, which was quite similar to his own back then.

"If you leave her out of the room for a while, she might get scared and she'll be fine in no time." It's true that Nan Lingtian dotes on his precious daughter, but Yin Han was also someone he raised from a young age, so there's still some affection between them.

"No, I don't want her to be angry." Yin Han would rather keep coaxing her than leave her hanging occasionally.

"..." has potential.

And at Nan's house.

After Nan Lingtian and Yin Han finished breakfast and went to the company, Yang Silin took a breakfast upstairs and went straight to Nan Sheng's room.

She knocked tentatively on the door, then said, "Shengbao, it's your mother, may I come in?"

In the room, Nan Sheng lay on a huge pink European-style princess bed, hugging a doll, staring blankly at the ceiling.

She had been awake for a while, but she didn't go downstairs; she didn't want to see Yin Han.

Actually, she regretted it. Even though she was angry with Yin Han, she shouldn't have thrown away his gift; it was, after all, his good intention.

But then, for some reason, her heart hardened again, even though she was about to soften.

Just as she was feeling annoyed, she heard her mother's voice and quickly got out of bed: "Okay, Mom."

Having received a response, Yang Silin pushed open the door and entered.

"Get up, you lazy pig!"

Yang Silin placed the breakfast on the table, then walked to the bedside and gently rubbed Nan Sheng's head.

"You arrived just as I woke up."

"Xiaohan went to the company for training with her dad. It's the middle of winter, so it's cold." Yang Silin said, casually glancing at Nan Sheng's expression.

"What's so cold about it? The company has heating."

Nan Sheng wouldn't feel sorry for him.

"Okay, okay, get up, wash up, and have breakfast first?" Yang Silin didn't say much more.

She sat beside Nan Sheng and watched her eat breakfast at the table after Nan Sheng finished washing up.

Nan Sheng sensed that she would have something to say as soon as she finished eating.

"Mom, is there something you want to talk to me about?"

Nan Sheng took the initiative to speak. At fifteen years old, her cheeks were tender and full of collagen. Her long hair was casually curled into a bun, making her look very youthful.

Yang Silin nodded.

"Xiaohan has lost a lot of weight recently, and she seems to be depressed." Yang Silin didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point.

Nan Sheng jumped to her feet: "What depression? The doctor said he has depression?!"

Seeing Nan Sheng like this, Yang Silin couldn't help but laugh out loud: "No, it's just that it's affecting you and making you depressed."

They even said they didn't care about the Lesser Cold.
