I am a child who needs commitment.

I am a child who needs commitment.

She looked in the direction of the sound and saw Mo Wen ahead. She ran to his side.

"This is quite an unusual outfit." Wen Zhuyao stopped in front of him, stroking her chin as she admired his clothes. They were very casual, unlike his usual style.

Mo Wen stubbornly insisted, "It's changing seasons, I haven't bought any clothes yet. Come on, I'll take you out to play."

"Okay." Wen Zhuyao tilted her head and took his hand.

Mo Wen froze for a moment, then pretended to be nonchalant and walked into the mall together. There were only a few things to do there.

In the classic claw machine game, Wen Zhuyao, despite someone's denial of being able to play, thought about her numerous victories and rolled up her sleeves, eager to show off her skills.

As a result, someone who didn't know how to do it overtook him, and succeeded on the first try, even achieving several.

Enraged, she silently punched him in the back.

Mo Wen turned around in surprise and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing. I just wanted to cheer you on since you're in such good spirits." Wen Zhuyao chuckled, then pushed her few small boxes away.

Passing by his overflowing possessions, the contrast only highlighted his desolation.

Helpless, Mo Wen secretly followed behind her, grabbing one and throwing it in.

By the time Wen Zhuyao found something she liked, grabbed something she liked, and wanted to turn around and put it in, the basket was already overflowing with many more.

I can't let go of it anymore.

She put her hands on her hips, turned around, found Mo Wen hiding, and asked, "What's wrong? You did it but don't want to admit it, huh? You ran so far away."

"What?" Mo Wen pretended not to know.

Wen Zhuyao raised her chin, gesturing to the contents of the box: "A doll, if you didn't put it in there, who else could it be?"

"Who knows who it is? It's probably a reward for you because you're so cute. Anyway, it's not me." Mo Wen denied putting in the last order.

After gaining control, I took the two boxes to the cashier and exchanged them for a teddy bear.

She held him and placed him in Wen Zhuyao's arms.

They went out hand in hand. Wen Zhuyao, holding a teddy bear in one arm, tilted her head and asked, "Why didn't you ask me if I wanted this?"

"Don't you like them?" Mo Wen thought of the toys in her room, which were all teddy bears.

Only a few were different.

Wen Zhuyao wanted to ask, "What if I like something else?"

“Then let’s try again, and pick one you like,” he said, turning around as if to go back for another round.

Wen Zhuyao quickly grabbed his hand and said, "I like this one. I was just asking about your solution."

"There's no such thing as disliking it."

Mo Wen stared intently at her, slowly approaching, carefully tracing her expression, his eyes averting as he drew nearer, unable to meet her gaze.

“Okay, I wasn’t lying.” He pulled Wen Zhuyao along and continued walking in that direction.

Wen Zhuyao turned to look at him in confusion and said, "Weren't we not going to catch them again? Why are we going this way?"

"I misread the restaurant address and went the wrong way," Mo Wen said matter-of-factly, licking his lips.

Wen Zhuyao was silent for a few seconds before speaking: "Oh, I thought you misunderstood, but it turns out you just realized you were going the wrong way."

"Hmm, I'll treat you to something nice to make it up to you." Mo Wen affectionately patted her head, hoping to coax her out of it.

Wen Zhuyao snorted coldly, tacitly accepting the situation.

After the meal, it should have been time to go home, but Mo Wen didn't want the day to pass so quickly, so she didn't say anything.

They walked hand in hand, together.

Mo Wen led her to a nearby park, where people were out having fun or setting up stalls.

"Brother, would you like to give your sister a rose?" The little girl ran over, promoting her sister's products, "All kinds, affordable prices, and I guarantee you'll be satisfied."

Mo Wen turned his head and his gaze met Wen Zhuyao's, but he quickly looked away as if nothing had happened. Wen Zhuyao nodded to the little girl.

The girl happily led them to her stall.

As I got closer, I saw several young couples and groups of people out having fun together.

"Pick whatever you like, a bouquet for 9.9 yuan is for happiness, for what you like, leaving the fragrance of flowers in your memory."

The girl recited a promotional slogan and waved.

Then it skipped and hopped off to greet the next customer.

Wen Zhuyao watched her retreating figure with a smile on her face: "What an adorable child."

"Okay, let's see if there's anything you like, pick a bouquet." Mo Wen nodded, his gaze falling on the bouquet, feeling that something fresh was always better.

When the takeout I ordered arrived, it looked a bit wilted in the photos I took.

She chose a small bouquet, decorated with daisies and lavender, with sunflowers as the main element, and said, "Let's choose this one. It feels like a child, full of sunshine."

The more I look at it, the more I like it.

Don't ask any questions, just pay quickly.

The two continued walking in another direction, stealthily making their way through the night, before anyone could react.

The surprise has arrived.

Mo Wen looked at the approaching night and turned to head towards the hotel. The journey was neither too far nor too short, and he enjoyed the evening breeze and the stirrings in his heart.

No one spoke to break this special moment until they reached the hotel entrance.

Wen Zhuyao stretched and announced again, "I agree."

"What?" Mo Wen didn't react for a moment.

What? You promised me?

Wen Zhuyao tilted her head, looking haughty: "What do you think? I came here to give you the answer, and I've given you the answer."

Tell me, what did I promise you?

Without waiting for his reaction, Wen Zhuyao ran straight into the hotel, leaving him with her back turned.

By the time those stunned by the surprise came to their senses, they had vanished without a trace.

Mo Wen turned around stiffly and walked home stiffly.

Wen Zhuyao, who had been secretly hiding at the hotel entrance, seemed to have received a satisfactory answer.

I couldn't sleep all night.

This word perfectly describes Mo Wen.

I go to bed early, but I start having insomnia early too, and I'm always half asleep and in a daze.

I waver between falling asleep and being awake.

He doesn't remember when he actually fell asleep; the last time he opened his eyes was at three in the morning.

"Oh right, my flight is probably the day after tomorrow afternoon, so I'll stay here for two days, if you have time on the other side of the weekend."

"Can you come and keep me company?" Wen Zhuyao had already set her return date before leaving, making sure it was on the weekend.

If he has time, then the two of them can play together.

If she doesn't have time, she'll wander around by herself.

Looking at the exact return time, Mo Wen asked, "Is it really that short?"

"Could we stay a few more days?"

Even though Wen Zhu was separated from him by the screen, she could feel his feelings: "I'm a coward. I'm afraid you won't be happy to see me."

"So I booked my plane ticket in advance."

It was the right decision, but he still felt a little regretful: "Okay, see you tomorrow, I'll take you to have breakfast."

"Go to bed early tonight, I want to see you soon."

The longing for the other person stretched out the fast-paced night, like being unhappy and sulking.

When he wants things to be quick, quietly sabotage him.

The next day, Mo Wen got up at eight o'clock, dressed and went out, sporting slightly noticeable dark circles under his eyes.

"Have you eaten?" Mother Mo asked as usual.

He turned his back to us, saying, "I'm not eating. I have to go out now. I'll probably be back tonight."

Wen Zhuyao waited at the hotel entrance on time, watching him gradually walk towards her, his blurry face becoming clearer.

"What are you taking me to have for breakfast?" She patted her stomach, indicating that her appetite was ready.

Mo Wen stopped where he was, catching his breath slightly: "Let's go, I'll show you some local specialties that I highly recommend."

"What?" Wen Zhuyao stared at him and naturally took his outstretched hand.

Mo Wen, however, kept him in suspense: "I won't tell you."

Today's itinerary was like a replica of the day he had arranged for Wen Zhuyao.

The familiarity was already apparent when we finished eating the cake and were about to go see a movie.

Although Mo Wen rearranged the order slightly for the sake of making it more relatable, it didn't affect Wen Zhuyao's ability to see through things.

"Are we going to see a movie next?" Wen Zhuyao guessed what would happen next, which was quite obvious.

She guessed right.

Mo Wen nodded and readily admitted, "Yeah, let's watch something different together."

"So what do we do after the movie?" Wen Zhuyao asked curiously, looking at the back of the screen. It was still a little before noon.

Will there be any new arrangements during this period?

No matter how you ask, Mo Wen won't say anything now, resolutely refusing to reveal anything: "I won't tell you."

"Okay, okay," Wen Zhuyao said expectantly.

For this film, he chose a highly-rated film called "Double Shadow," which is considered a classic.

Each absorbed in the movie, it wasn't until they left the theater that Wen Zhuyao remembered to ask, "According to the usual formula, shouldn't you have chosen a romance or a horror movie?"

He was very realistic and straightforward, and hadn't thought about it.

"Isn't the choice of which movie to watch based on the schedule? Love is a real test, and everyone has a different opinion on love."

"Not to mention horror movies. If you choose a bad one, not only will it be a waste of time, but you probably won't want to talk to me anymore." Mo Wen's words were a bit serious. Choosing a bad one would at least worsen the impression.

She retorted, "Why? This won't make me ignore you."

"We can't watch the movie. All we can do is stare at each other and space out. We'll be lucky if you don't secretly curse me for choosing a bad movie for two hours." Having sat in a movie theater once, Mo Wen knew all too well what it felt like to sit in a movie theater seat.

You can start changing movements after sitting for five minutes; you can at least ignore it when watching immersive content.

Wen Zhuyao thought about it for a moment and realized that it seemed to be true, but feelings determine everything.

"I like you. It's not just about secretly cursing you; at least I'll comfort you."

Mo Wen hadn't thought of this angle before; it's a new discovery.

Let's move on to the next place.

They then did a similar tour of the mall before going their separate ways.

The process was the same: send it back and then Mo Wen went back by himself. He couldn't go out again on weekdays because he had other work to finish.

Working from home has its advantages.

Wen Zhuyao went out for half a day on her phone, and kept making video calls with him. The sound of their conversation occasionally drifted out from inside the house, but it didn't disturb the people watching TV and gossiping outside.

After 3 p.m., Mo Wen had some free time, so he tidied up and prepared to go out to take Wen Zhuyao to the airport.

"Have you eaten?" Mother Mo asked as usual, her head slightly turned.

Mo Wen opened the door and came back in, saying, "Let's eat. I'll be back in a bit."

Upon arrival, don't ask for help; just follow Wen Zhuyao around busily, and check in your luggage yourself.

There's still some time left.

They found a random spot outside, sat down, and quietly savored these last moments.

The two sat close together, holding hands.

They silently accompanied each other.

"Are you hungry? I have some bread in my bag." Wen Zhuyao took out some bread from her bag and gave him one.

He didn't eat anything at dinner time.

Mo Wen took it, opened it, and slowly put it into his mouth.

"Will you come to see me again?" He felt a bitter taste in the bread in his mouth. It was clearly sweet and soft, but the sourness kept rising and masking the other flavors.

Wen Zhuyao ate it in small bites until she finished and put the wrapper in the trash can.

She then answered Mo Wen's question, "I will come to see you, many times, until we are together forever."

"You won't lie to me, will you?" Mo Wen was like a child needing a promise before parting.

The dilemma, the debate, all revolve around that one completely unrelated issue that doesn't matter much.
