Chapter 23 Let Her Vent

Bai Shuyu's expression fell on him.

Gu Hongrui was clearly still the same as before, but when she met his eyes now, she could not feel any friendship at all.

"Gu Hongrui, why?"

Bai Shuyu's voice was still trembling. She closed her eyes, then opened them again and looked at Gu Hongrui and said, "You knew Xingxing was your daughter, but how could you be so cruel?"

Gu Hongrui's eyes fell on her: "You destroyed the most important thing to me, so of course I will destroy the most important thing to you."

Bai Shuyu took a deep breath. Gu Hongrui stared at her intently. "Seeing you in pain won't make me feel that bad."

Gu Hongrui coughed. Bai Shuyu's eyes were red as she looked at him. Her expression suddenly became agitated: "She's your daughter too. Don't you feel any guilt at all?"

Her Xingxing was still longing for fatherly love until her death, but what about Gu Hongrui?

Bai Shuyu closed her eyes. She couldn't imagine how much bullying Xingxing would suffer if she were alive.

She was even glad that the stars were gone at this moment.

"Bai Shuyu, I regret why I didn't keep you..."

Before he could finish his words, Huo Jiaqi came out from behind and kicked him in the chin.

Gu Hongrui's groan of pain made Bai Shuyu's face turn cold in an instant.

There was no trace of emotion in her indifferent eyes: "Gu Hongrui, you are really good."

Bai Shuyu sneered.

Bai Qingxuan pulled him up and looked at Huo Jiaqi: "You stay with Shuyu, I'll take him away."

Gu Hongrui struggled, but Bai Qingyan didn't feel embarrassed at all. He held Gu Hongrui tightly with his hands: "Don't move!"

"Shuyu, leave him to me. I will definitely help you resolve the grievances you've suffered over the years!"

Bai Shuyu never looked at Gu Hongrui again.

She closed her eyes and responded.

Gu Hongrui was dragged away by Bai Qingheng. Bai Shuyu took a deep breath and then looked at Huo Jiaqi who was standing beside her.

How could Huo Jiaqi not know what Bai Shuyu was thinking?

He patted Bai Shuyu with his soothing hand, his eyes filled with concern: "It's okay."

Bai Shuyu opened her mouth, and all the words she said seemed particularly pale at this moment.

"Stop crying."

His eyes were gentle: "If you are crying, aren't you afraid that the stars will see you and laugh at you?"

The photo of Xingxing was torn into pieces, and even if Bai Shuyu wanted to force a smile, she couldn't.

Huo Jiaqi's hand touched the photo of Xingxing. He knew what Bai Shuyu was worried about.

After taking a look at it, he slowly said, "Although the photo is cracked, the urn inside is not damaged."

"Shuyu, this is also good news, isn't it?"

Bai Shuyu pursed her lips and forced a stiff smile: "You're right, it's best that Xingxing is fine."

As for this tomb, she was going to destroy it anyway, so why should she care about all this?

Emotions were swirling in her heart. Bai Shuyu looked at the box and reached out to take it, but Huo Jiaqi stopped her: "Wait a minute."

"I'll get the umbrella from the car."

He came and went in a hurry. Bai Shuyu looked at Gu Hongrui's busy figure and felt a little relieved in her heart.

A black umbrella covered her head, and Bai Shuyu held the urn tightly in her hands: "Xingxing, we are going back."

"Follow your mother, and she will take you home."

Bai Shuyu recited each sentence one by one, more seriously than ever before.

Huo Jiaqi stayed by her side, his eyes always fixed on Bai Shuyu: "Let's take her home."

Bai Shuyu nodded and held the urn very tightly.

Arriving outside the cemetery, Bai Shuyu got into the car and finally had the mind to ask, "Where did my brother take Gu Hongrui?"

Her curious eyes fell on Huo Jiaqi.

Huo Jiaqi laughed and said, "I originally thought you wouldn't ask, but it seems you can't hold back."

"Since Gu Hongrui cares so much about Chen Luoyi, then go in and accompany her. Your brother has taken him to the police station."

Bai Shuyu curled her lips: "That really is a bargain for him."

Bai Shuyu no longer has any expectations for someone like Gu Hongrui.

She leaned back in her chair, staring blankly out the window, thinking about everything and no longer wanting to get involved.

"Shuyu, things are already progressing one by one. After Xingxing is settled, isn't it time for you to let go and move on?"

Huo Jiaqi knew Bai Shuyu's abilities, and now he set his sights on her: "Your parents, brother, and I don't want you to be immersed in pain forever."

"I know."

Bai Shuyu lowered her head, her eyes fixed on Huo Jiaqi: "I'll let it go once I've resolved these issues."

She forced a smile and looked at Huo Jiaqi: "Don't worry."

With these words, Huo Jiaqi responded.

Inside the police station.

Bai Qingxuan's eyes fell on Gu Hongrui, and he glanced at the police: "I hope you can enforce the law impartially and put a perfect end to this matter!"

"Don't worry, Gu Hongrui has done these things before as a public figure, and we will definitely enforce the law impartially."

Bai Qingxuan stood up and nodded: "I'll ask my assistant to follow up, I'll be leaving first."

He turned and left, ignoring Gu Hongrui's gaze.

Inside a private airport.

Bai Qingxuan finally returned after a long and hurried journey. He looked at Bai Shuyu and explained Gu Hongrui's situation. "I'll have my assistant tell me the follow-up results. Shuyu, let's just call this a day."

Bai Shuyu's eyes fell on Bai Qingyan: "Brother, thank you."

"We are a family, why are you being so polite to me?"

Bai Qingxuan pinched her cheek, as if he thought of something, and his eyes fell on the box next to Bai Shuyu.

It was a pink princess pattern with pictures of stars on it.

Bai Qingxuan's Adam's apple rolled up and down, and he finally said, "Xingxing, I'm your uncle."

He twitched his lips and said, "I'm sorry for bringing you home so late."

Bai Shuyu burst into tears, the pain of losing her daughter made her helpless. Even though she made Gu Hongrui pay the price, Chen Luoyi was also put in prison.

But her star will never come back.

The entire cabin was filled with Bai Shuyu's suppressed crying.

Bai Qingxuan looked out the window of the plane, and upon closer inspection, his eyes were filled with moisture.

The sky was pitch black. Bai Qingxuan reached out and touched his eye sockets. He believed that his sister's future would be smoother and smoother.

As for the crying sound, he hoped Bai Shuyu would cry.

Only after she had finished crying could she cheer herself up again.
