Bai Shuyu's gaze fell on Huo Jiaqi.
Huo Jiaqi had already moved closer to her, their breaths meeting. Bai Shuyu was the first to turn her cheek away. She took a deep breath, calming her anxiety: "Don't."
She moved uncomfortably. Huo Jiaqi stared at Bai Shuyu with burning eyes. The moment the corners of his mouth turned up, Bai Shuyu coughed uncomfortably.
"Shuyu, I'm sorry."
Bai Shuyu coughed and said in a vague voice, "No, no."
She looked flustered. Huo Jiaqi moved closer to her and looked at Bai Shuyu carefully. "Really?"
He pointed at her cheek: "Then why is your face so red?"
Bai Shuyu stammered, unable to tell the truth. Huo Jiaqi moved closer to her and said, "Shuyu, you're jealous, aren't you?"
"I......"
Bai Shuyu wanted to refute, but then she thought that her words were not in line with her heart, so there was no point in saying anything, so it would be better not to say anything.
"Yeah, I'm jealous."
Bai Shuyu stared at Huo Jiaqi with a burning gaze: "If another woman tries to get close to you, shouldn't I be jealous?"
There was a mixture of concern in her serious eyes. The smile in Huo Jiaqi's eyes made Bai Shuyu stunned for a moment: "You, what are you laughing at?"
For a moment, she couldn't figure out what the man was thinking.
Huo Jiaqi stared at her directly, and Bai Shuyu turned away because of his gaze.
"I'm happy."
Bai Shuyu was startled, but Huo Jiaqi had already reached out and hugged her: "Shuyu, you definitely don't know how happy I am now."
His excited and trembling voice made Bai Shuyu's heart stir for a moment.
She put her arm around his shoulders and patted his back gently.
Huo Jiaqi could sense Bai Shuyu's thoughts. When he let her go, he couldn't hide the smile and pride on his face.
Bai Shuyu felt uneasy even sitting there. Seeing Huo Jiaqi's silly look, she thought for a moment, then stood up and looked at Huo Jiaqi: "I'm full."
Huo Jiaqi responded and was about to follow her out, but was interrupted by the ringing of her cell phone.
He picked up the phone, and he didn't know what was said on the other end. Huo Jiaqi had already hung up the phone in a rage.
Bai Shuyu stood there, and Huo Jiaqi's eyes fell on her: "It's okay, go back first."
Inside the car, Huo Jiaqi's phone kept ringing. Bai Shuyu stared at Huo Jiaqi, thought for a moment, and said, "Answer it."
He held the phone, a thought flashed through his eyes, but the next second, he still pressed the hang-up button.
Bai Shuyu looked at Huo Jiaqi helplessly: "You said nothing happened."
He pursed his lips, and Bai Shuyu pulled the corner of her mouth: "What's going on?"
Huo Jiaqi pursed her lips and said nothing.
Bai Shuyu had already moved closer to him, her eyes fixed on him, and she asked with a smile, "About me?"
Huo Jiaqi's expression began to look unnatural.
Bai Shuyu realized that her guess had come true. She patted his hand soothingly and said, "Jiaqi, don't separate from your family because of me."
"This has nothing to do with you."
Huo Jiaqi glanced at Bai Shuyu and curled his lips: "Someone is instigating this."
Bai Shuyu was stunned. Huo Jiaqi sent her home and said to her, "Go back first."
Huo Jiaqi's eyes fell on her uneasy look. He thought for a moment and then comforted her: "Don't worry, nothing will happen."
Having said that, Bai Shuyu still responded.
Huo Jiaqi left.
When I got home, as soon as I walked into the house, a cup was thrown at me.
He dodged sideways. Mother Huo stood up, her eyes full of disapproval: "You still remember to come back!"
Huo Jiaqi's eyes fell on her mother: "You called me back, how could I not come back?"
"Qin Rou said she saw you with the girl from the Bai family. Is this true?"
Huo Jiaqi remained silent, but her heart sank. Her eyes fell on Huo Jiaqi, her expression filled with disbelief: "Jiaqi, I thought you had let it go a long time ago!"
His gaze fell on his mother, and she took in the emotions in his eyes. She also truly realized that her son had never completely let go from the beginning to the end.
She opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but found that she couldn't say a word.
"Jiaqi, it was Bai Shuyu who rejected you first, but can you really stick with her again?"
Her expression was full of disapproval: "Even if you want to, I can't do it!"
"Mom, I'm not asking you to marry Shuyu, so why can't you do that?"
Huo Jiaqi glanced at her mother impatiently, her words carrying a warning: "Don't contact Gu Qinrou anymore. She has ulterior motives. Can't you see that?"
"She does that because she likes you!"
Mrs. Huo could have endured it at first, but after hearing what her son said, she couldn't stand it anymore and slammed the table and stood up from her chair: "Stop talking nonsense!"
"Huo Jiaqi, I don't know what kind of medicine Bai Shuyu gave you, but I just don't agree with you two being together!"
Huo Jiaqi changed his previous nonchalant image, glanced at his mother, and said in a cold voice: "I don't care whether you agree or not. If you dare to go to Shuyu, you will bear the consequences."
Mother Huo's heart sank, and her eyes fell on Huo Jiaqi. There was a hint of disappointment in her expression: "You, is this what you said to me?"
Huo Jiaqi had already turned and walked out, ignoring the voice coming from her mother behind her.
Mother Huo opened her mouth, but found that she couldn't say a word.
Huo Jiaqi drove back to Bai Shuyu's residential complex. Thinking of what his mother had said, he took out a cigarette and took a few puffs.
Bai Shuyu had actually not slept at all, but she didn't expect that when she just got up to relax, she would see Huo Jiaqi downstairs.
When the two people looked at each other, Huo Jiaqi couldn't help but cough wildly because of the cigarette he was smoking.
Bai Shuyu took a few steps back, but her eyes were fixed on him: "Aren't you going to say anything?"
Huo Jiaqi got out of the car and his eyes fell on Bai Shuyu. For a moment, he felt inexplicably guilty.
Bai Shuyu pulled her shawl upwards and waited for his answer with a smiling look.
Huo Jiaqi came back to her senses and looked at Bai Shuyu before saying, "I didn't expect you hadn't rested yet."
His burning gaze was fixed on Bai Shuyu, who responded, "I can't sleep, come down and take a walk."
She twitched her lips: "What about you?"
Huo Jiaqi hesitated. Bai Shuyu raised her eyebrows slightly and moved closer to him: "Huo Jiaqi, you know that if you want to deceive me now, it may not change anything."
Her half-smiley gaze fell on him. Huo Jiaqi saw it and after thinking for a moment, she said, "I just came out of the house and wanted to come see you."
