Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Yan Qing now felt that Mingli was also a strange person. A game boss had changed so many blind dates that were about to be ruined, so it was possible that he would be willing.

His thoughts seemed to be written on his face. Ming Xu said, "He's very happy about it."

In other families, the older children are steady and the younger ones are naughty and mischievous, but in the Ming family, everything is the other way around.

When Mingli was just born, the volume of his crying was much louder than that of other newborns. When he went to kindergarten, he would yell that he was hungry before mealtime every day. From then on, the backpacks of other children were filled with toys, but his was filled with snacks.

Some children refuse to eat and throw tantrums when they are away from their mothers, but Mingli is just the opposite. After he finishes eating his own plate, he takes someone else's plate and starts to eat voraciously.

The teacher is afraid of his child being hungry or eating too much. He will cry if he is not allowed to eat. There is nothing the teacher can do. The teacher can only suggest that the parents take him for some checks. If the doctor says it is okay, the teacher will feel relieved.

When he entered elementary school, Mingli's mischievous gene was revealed and his parents were called to the school because he fought with other children during class.

At that time, Ming's parents were on a business trip, and only the grandparents were at home to take care of their two grandsons. After learning about this, the two old people who had been kind to others all their lives did not expect that their well-behaved grandson would beat up his classmates, so they hurriedly took Ming Xu to school.

When he arrived at the office, the grandfather first apologized to the parents of the child who was beaten, and then quickly said that his family would definitely take responsibility and would pay for all the subsequent examination expenses.

The child's parents were also sensible. They arrived early and had already heard the whole story from the teacher. They knew that their child was not innocent either.

Mingli stood aside without saying a word, no longer having the arrogance he had when he beat someone just now.

Fortunately, neither of them was injured and no one complained of feeling unwell. The two parents chatted for a few more words and then took their children back home.

As soon as they left the school, Mingli pouted, his tone full of resignation: "He's an idiot. He can't even learn such a simple game."

When Grandpa heard this, he kicked him directly, his eyebrows raised in anger: "Mingli! What nonsense are you talking about? Where did you learn these words?"

The school gate was bustling with people. Grandma quickly pulled Mingli toward the car. She didn't agree with educating children outside. She said in a serious tone, "Let's talk about it when we get home."

After getting in the car, the grandfather once again seriously repeated the question he had just asked, his eyes fixed on his unruly grandson: "Did someone teach you to do what you did today? Or did you come up with it on your own?"

Realizing that this matter could not be covered up so easily, Mingli looked for help at his grandmother who had always loved him.

But grandma and grandpa are now on the same front, and this kind of bullying of classmates must be seriously stopped.

Without reinforcements, he became somewhat dispirited, and his previous confidence was gone. He lowered his head and spoke in a voice as soft as a mosquito: "I taught him to play games, but he couldn't learn. He was too stupid. But he didn't think he was stupid. He said his mother said he was the smartest. I said his mother lied to him and that he was the first to start."

Just as the child said, it seems that the two of them really had a disagreement over a small conflict and they fought each other.

Grandpa's expression softened a bit. "Don't call other students stupid in the future. We are all good kids. You think he is stupid only because you may be a little better at learning this thing than him. You learned it in one day, but he needs three days. But think about it the other way around. You are not omnipotent. What if you encounter another problem? He solves it in one day, but you need three days. Then, are you stupid?"

As soon as the words fell, Mingli couldn't wait to refute: "I'm not stupid, my mother said I'm very smart."

"Every mother thinks her child is the smartest."

Mingli didn't know what he was thinking about, and shook his head: "No."

The three people in the car agreed and looked at Mingli. Even Mingxu, who didn't understand anything, looked at his brother confusedly.

Mingli pointed at his younger brother and said, "Mom said the other day that my younger brother is stupid."

"Ming Li!"

Ming's parents, who had just returned from a business trip, called out to their eldest son as soon as they entered the door without even putting down the things in their hands.

Mingli heard his mother's voice and ran downstairs dragging his brother.

"Mom, why did you come back just now?"

Just as he was immersed in the thoughts of his mother, Ming's mother's slap had already landed on his butt. Ming Xu, who was crawling on the ground, was frightened and sat there obediently without moving.

After receiving a call from the teacher while on a business trip, Ming's mother was already furious. She suppressed her anger and did not book a ticket back to beat him up. After listening to the grandparents' explanation of the cause of the incident and learning Mingli's own understanding, Ming's mother was ready to slap him.

"But Mom, you did say my brother is an idiot." Mingli opened his eyes wide, not understanding why his mother lied. She had clearly said this herself. Then he pointed at his father, who was standing by and acting as a wall, and said, "Dad, you were right there with me at the time, smiling and saying my brother was a little idiot."

Mingli's words struck everyone like a bolt of thunder.

Ming's father glanced at his own parents, and the two old people immediately carried Mingxu upstairs. Mingxu whined and wanted his mother, but was forcibly taken away. The following scene is not suitable for preschool children to watch.

It was not until the evening that the family gathered again around the dining table.

Mingli apologized to his grandparents and younger brother one by one.

Although Mingli was taught a lesson, a similar incident never occurred again, but other things continued to fall on Ming's parents like raindrops.

Until he was sixteen years old, almost every elder in the Ming family had gone to school once to teach him etiquette.

Later, Ming's mother even refused to attend parent-teacher meetings.

"I can't afford to lose this person."

Yan Qing couldn't help laughing as Ming Xu exposed his brother's past. "Where did you hear all this?"

"Maybe our family celebrates the New Year just to reveal Mingli's secrets. Forget about him, I've heard so much that my ears are callused. My brother used to get angry at first, but now he's correcting them when they get it wrong." He glanced at Yan Qing and casually said, "If you come to my house, my mom will definitely tell you everything."

Yan Qing glanced at him and nodded: "I didn't expect your family to be so interesting."

In Yan Qing's heart, she always believed that the family that could raise a child like Mingxu must be a meticulous family. Both parents are businessmen or highly educated, and they have higher expectations for their children than others since childhood.

I never expected that a seemingly unreliable child like Mingli would add to the already colorful family. Although I am busy with work, I would rather be a little tired than miss any stage of my child's growth.

According to Ming Xu, Ming's parents are not like traditional parents, and their control over their children is relaxed but moderate.

She suddenly felt a little envious. If her parents were like this, would she not be like this now?

I have no confidence in love and I am afraid of going into an unfamiliar area.

Although he seems to have traveled a lot, he is actually timid and unwilling to try anything that seems risky, even if it is just his own guess.

Seeing Yan Qing in a daze, Ming Xu asked: "What are you thinking about?"

"I envy the atmosphere in your home."

Ming Xu was stunned for a moment. He had never explored Yan Qing's past, her student days, her time of ignorant exploration abroad, and the days after she left.

"What did you do when you were a kid?"

The two looked at each other, and Yan Qing lowered her head slightly: "As far as I can remember, my parents have been doing business outside. Sometimes I lived with my grandparents, and sometimes I stayed with my grandparents for a while. Later, I went to school, and the old people had some health problems, so my family got a nanny. She cooks delicious food."

As she spoke, Yan Qing recalled her darkest times. "Time passed quickly, and gradually I stopped missing my parents. Everyone said I was sensible and understanding. Later, I met Zhou Mingshu. She insisted on being my friend and tried to stuff a dirty cake into my mouth. The next day, her mother brought her to apologize, and I realized it was actually a chocolate cake, though I honestly couldn't tell."

Ming Xu burst out laughing when he heard this.

"If a dirty-looking peer suddenly gives you a dirty-looking food to eat."

"I definitely refuse." He learned to answer quickly.

Talking about her childhood again, although Yan Qing has not forgotten the various embarrassments and tears in her childhood, she does understand her parents as the adults said.

In her senior year of high school, her mother returned to her hometown, gave up all her work and stayed with her for a whole year, doing everything herself. Looking at her mother trying to please her, the hatred that had accompanied Yan Qing throughout her childhood suddenly disappeared.

Since childhood, everyone has told you that you will understand when you grow up, and you will understand your parents when you become a mother.

When school was over in the evening, the street was empty except for the street lights. Yan Qing had walked this road alone for two years. That day, she suddenly saw a figure standing under the street light and waving at her.

"Xixi."

It's my mother's voice.

She remembered her mother's whispers and suppressed sobs as she sat by her bed while she was asleep, the smell of smoke in the kitchen, the various supplies in the bathroom, the clean and tidy four-piece suits in the bedroom, and the neatly arranged and fragrant school uniforms hanging in the closet.

Yan Qing: "They have no choice. If they had a choice, who would be willing to abandon their children and go far away?"

After saying that, Yan Qing raised her eyes and said, "At that time, several elders in the family kept urging my mother to have a second child. My father beat her up for it, but I didn't want to have another child like me and repeat my life."

Mingxu fell into deep thought.

There was a hint of disbelief in his tone: "Isn't this also a second child that was forced to come about?"

Just then, his cell phone rang. It was Mingli calling.

Mingxu took the initiative after answering, "Brother, didn't you object to your parents having a second child?"

Mingli was confused, but still answered: "Why object? You are my second child. It's a good thing you were born, otherwise my life would be even more difficult."

After asking what he wanted to ask, Mingxu hung up the phone directly, leaving Mingli staring blankly at the black screen, suddenly forgetting the original intention of making this call.

Yan Qing heard everything from the side: "I didn't expect your brother wanted a younger brother or sister?"

"With a new child, no one will take care of him anymore, so of course he's happy and at ease."

Yan Qing thought of the expectant looks of the elders when she mentioned having a second child, and her father's firm refusal. Her mother held her in her arms, patting her gently, and said softly, "Xixi, don't worry. Mom and Dad will only have Xixi as your child."
