Baise took the folded corner and confirmed that it was Ye Yunniang's handprint.
"How did you guess that?" Baise had looked at it several times but hadn't noticed it.
Fearing I might get them mixed up, I had to fold a corner of each of the 10 sheets of paper and add a small mark.
Baise looked at Li Ping beside her and asked, "Did you tell him?" Only Baise and Li Ping knew which one it was.
"Don't slander me. I didn't." Li Ping wouldn't remind Jiang Mingzhe of that.
"You underestimate me." Jiang Mingzhe could recognize his lover no matter what the traces were.
"You've passed this hurdle, but the next one won't be so easy."
Baise pulled Li Pan, who was standing to the side, over.
"This task is called 'eyebrow drawing.' As a husband, you must know how to draw your wife's eyebrows. The bride cannot leave the room. Your son will draw her eyebrows for you."
Baise pushed Li Pan towards the center.
"Can we change players?" Li Pan asked, unwilling to comply.
“If you don’t mind that your father draws eyebrows for other women, I can find a woman.”
"No way." Upon hearing this, Li Pan took the paintbrush from Baise's hand and shoved it into Jiang Mingzhe's hand.
"Draw it."
"Be careful." Baise smiled and handed the eyebrow scissors to Jiang Mingzhe.
Jiang Mingzhe did not answer.
"How could the dignified Second Master Jiang, Commander Jiang, admit defeat so easily?" Baise clicked his tongue as he sized up Jiang Mingzhe.
“Stepfather, don’t make me look down on you,” Li Ping added fuel to the fire.
Li Pan glanced at her younger brother, then at Jiang Mingzhe. She took a step to leave.
They were captured in Baise.
"Pan'er, where are you going? Your stepfather is waiting."
