Inside the room, Madam Jiang and Ye Yunniang, hearing the maid's shouts, assumed that Jiang Mingyue's affair had been exposed.
Then I heard that Zhuang Meixue had a miscarriage.
The two breathed a sigh of relief, thankfully it wasn't Jiang Mingyue who was in trouble.

Ye Yunniang followed the crowd and watched from afar as a maid was pulled ashore. She overheard the people around her talking.

The housekeeper and Madam Jiang rushed over to inquire about the situation.
Ye Yunniang was also questioned.
She was Dongqing, a maid who followed behind Zijuan.
Dongqing asked Ye Yunniang.

"No."

Ye Yunniang recalled.
"She ran down the path to the east. She was about my size and build. Her clothes were similar to the blue clothes you were wearing. I didn't notice her hair. Oh, and she walked with a strange gait, like one foot was higher than the other..."
Ye Yunniang told Dongqing everything she knew.
Record the holly well.
"Nanny Ye, you've been frightened. Go back to Zhiyu Pavilion to rest tonight."

“Yes, an aunt will be staying at Zhiyuxuan tomorrow.” Li’er said, moving closer to Ye Yunniang. “I heard from the ladies in the courtyard that the Jin family paid a lot of money to hire her to take care of the young master. She’s an extremely capable person and knows how to take care of children.”
The Jin family is the maternal family of Madam Jiang.
Ye Yunniang has been in the Jiang family for more than half a year now, and she is no longer the clueless rural wife she once was.

Chunyao yawned as she patted Jiang Tingjun's belly.

Jiang Tingjun woke up after sleeping for about an hour. Ye Yunniang fed him milk and some complementary food, then played with him in the room.
At night, Jiang Tingjun fell asleep, while Ye Yunniang leaned against the headboard.
"Wah..." Jiang Tingjun suddenly cried out.
Ye Yunniang woke up with a start and reached out to pick up Jiang Tingjun. "Young master is awake. Is your wet nurse here? Please be well. Your wet nurse is with you..."
Ye Yunniang checked Jiang Tingjun and found that he had neither defecated nor urinated. He refused to drink milk and just kept crying.
"Why is the young master crying?" Zi Yuan asked as she walked in upon hearing the crying.
"I don't know. She suddenly started crying." Ye Yunniang didn't know why she was crying either. She walked and swayed Jiang Tingjun while gently patting his back and humming a lullaby to comfort him.

Jiang Tingjun turned his head and hugged Ye Yunniang's neck tightly, crying and ignoring Zi Yuan.
Everyone who has taken care of Jiang Tingjun knows that the little master is very easy to handle. He's not shy with strangers and will let anyone hold him.
It's very unusual that he's crying so much tonight and only recognizes his nanny.
