Chapter 77 Miscarriage

Ye Yunniang's cries and protests went unheeded.

Ye Yunniang was carried and placed into the coffin, where she was about to face the rotting corpse.

Ye Yunniang kept her eyes tightly closed, inwardly cursing Tong Mo.

"Huang Youguang, as an official appointed by the imperial court, you have treated human life with contempt. Do you think you are worthy of the imperial court's cultivation of you?" Bao Min's voice rang out, with a group of men standing behind him.

"Bao Min! What are you doing here?" Huang Youguang was very surprised; Bao Min had actually come to Lincheng. He hadn't received any news about it.

"I was ordered to investigate your corruption, abuse of power, and harm to the people. With the evidence and evidence presented, Huang Youguang, why don't you surrender immediately?" Bao Min's voice was authoritative.

"Slander. Ye's marriage to a ghost was a voluntary arrangement." Landlord Huang produced the marriage certificate, which had a clear red seal on it.

The handprint that I saw before has now turned into a cat's paw print.

"What's going on?" Landlord Huang shouted in disbelief.

"How did my son's ghost bride turn into a cat?" Madam Huang shouted as well, looking at the coffin.

Two strong men carried Ye Yunniang into the coffin.

"Put it in quickly."

The two servants, who were initially frightened by the chaotic scene, loosened their grip upon hearing Madam Huang's words.

Ye Yunniang fell downwards, clenching her teeth.

When her hands touched something, her clothes were grabbed from behind. "Ah—" Ye Yunniang was pulled out of the coffin by her clothes.

"Lady Ye, I promise I'll make sure you're safe and sound," Tong Mo's irritating voice rang out.

Ye Yunniang's response was to bite Tong Mo's wrist hard.

hiss……

"Why did you bite me, woman?" Tong Mo pushed Ye Yunniang away in pain.

Ye Yunniang was pushed to the ground.

"Ah—" Ye Yunniang felt a sharp pain in her stomach, "My stomach."

Tong Mo realized that Ye Yunniang was pregnant, and that his push might have caused an accident. He stepped forward and hugged Ye Yunniang.

Ye Yunniang felt the pain in her lower body getting worse and worse, and she grabbed Tong Mo's arm tightly.

"Save my child," Ye Yunniang said before falling into a coma.

"Ye Yunniang, wake up, you can't sleep." Tong Mo looked at the blood on Ye Yunniang's clothes, picked her up and left.

"Don't let her go. Quick, grab her!" Madam Huang shouted. Her son's journey to the underworld must not be blocked.

The servants of the Huang family obeyed orders and rushed towards Tong Mo with knives.

"Stop them," Bao Min waved his hand.

The man behind him drew his sword, blocked the servants of the Huang family, and killed them.

"Brother, let's go!" Landlord Huang shouted, drawing a sword from a nearby guard. "Follow me and charge! A hundred taels of silver will be awarded for every person you kill."

The Huang family servants, who had initially retreated in fear, suddenly regained their strength upon hearing about the hundred taels of silver.

He drew his sword, howled, and charged forward to fight desperately. He instantly stopped the experts Bao Min had brought.

Huang Youguang took the opportunity to leave with his men.

On the other side, Tong Mo carried Ye Yunniang and hurried towards the town.

"Ye Yunniang, you can't be hurt."

"If anything happens to you, your uncle will definitely kill me."

Bao Min finally had a chance to be taller than Jiang Mingzhe, but Tong Mo pushed it away.

Given Bao Min's meticulous and calculating nature, he would absolutely suffer a fate worse than death.

Tong Mo regretted not being able to control himself.

He rushed to the town clinic and kicked the door open.

"Doctor, help me!"

Ye Yunniang opened her eyes to bright daylight. She was momentarily confused; where was she?

She quickly realized what was happening and touched her stomach.

The curve is still there, and her child is unharmed.

"Baby, I almost lost you." Tears streamed down Ye Yunniang's face.

"You almost scared me to death." An annoying voice rang out.

Ye Yunniang ignored it, and just touched her belly, feeling the movements inside.

Tong Mo raised an eyebrow when he saw that Ye Yunniang seemed unwilling to communicate.

"Don't some people want to know about their two sons?"

"Where are Pan'er and An'er?" Ye Yunniang asked.

"You're willing to talk to me now?" Tong Mo asked in a cocky tone. "Beg me."

"Please tell me, are the children and their mother safe and sound?" Ye Yunniang pleaded without hesitation.

Tong Mo, who had been smiling casually, stopped smiling.

"Li Pan and Li An have been brought out of the village chief's house and are on their way here."

"Where is my mother? How is she?" Ye Yunniang pressed.

"Your mother..." Tong Mo didn't know how to answer for a moment.

"What happened to my mother?" Ye Yunniang threw back the covers and got out of bed.

"You can't leave. The doctor said you've disturbed the pregnancy and need to stay in bed to rest." Tong Mo reached out to stop him, not daring to use force.

Ye Yunniang grabbed Tong Mo's hand, "What happened to my mother?"

"Your mother is fine," Tong Mo replied casually.

Ye Yunniang didn't believe it and stared intently at Tong Mo.

"Oh dear, let me tell you," Tong Mo couldn't take it anymore and told the truth, "Your mother rolled down the mountain and hit her head on the ground. She's unconscious right now."

Upon hearing this, Ye Yunniang's body went limp and she fell backward.

"Hey, hey, don't scare me. Dr. Tong—" Tong Mo shouted.

Doctor Tong came in and quickly gave Ye Yunniang several acupuncture needles.

"Young Master Mo, I've already told you. Madam Ye mustn't get agitated," Doctor Tong said, his tone slightly reproachful.

"She just wouldn't listen to reason, there was nothing I could do." Tong Mo felt wronged and turned to Ye Yunniang to complain, "Stubborn mule."

"I want to see my mother." Ye Yunniang ignored Tong Mo's words and struggled to get up to see Cai Damei.

After Li Min and Li Jun passed away, Cai Damei became Ye Yunniang's pillar of support.

When her accident happened, Ye Yunniang felt like the sky had fallen. The fear brought by the rotting corpse vanished instantly.

My mind is filled with thoughts of my mother being unconscious...

"Look, she brought this all on herself," Tong Mo said, shrugging at Doctor Tong.
