Ye Yunniang said she didn't have feelings for him, but that was a lie. Yet, saying she did have feelings for him didn't seem right either.
“I shouldn’t have agreed to let you go to the dilapidated temple,” Cai Damei sighed.

"Eat your noodles first. We'll talk after you finish," Cai Damei told Ye Yunniang to eat first.
Ye Yunniang finished her noodles with her head down, washed up, and tidied up the kitchen. She then sat down in front of Cai Damei.
"You and him,"
“It’s alright now, he’s gone.” Ye Yunniang’s heart ached as she said this.
"Not coming back?"
Ye Yunniang nodded and then shook her head.
"Tell me everything about going to the ruined temple."
Ye Yunniang recounted what had happened at the dilapidated temple the day before yesterday. Of course, she couldn't tell anyone, and she wouldn't tell anyone.
After listening for a long while, Cai Damei finally spoke, "He's right, we shouldn't get involved with the Jiang family."

"Yunniang, give me a child."
"Yunniang, let's have a child that belongs to us."
"The treasure is all yours."
Jiang Mingzhe's words rang in my ears.
"Mother." Pan'er's voice interrupted Ye Yunniang's reverie.
"Mother." Pan'er ran into the house, holding a bamboo dragonfly in her hand and handed it to her. "Mother, let's play together."
Looking at Pan'er, Ye Yunniang suppressed the turmoil in her heart. She couldn't let Pan'er down again.

"Alright, I won't stand on ceremony with you." Granny Zhang took the bowl and handed the oil paper package to Cai Damei.
"I made this dried meat this morning, try it and see how it tastes." Granny Zhang stuffed the oil paper package into Cai Damei's hand and turned to leave.
Cai Damei opened the oil paper package and found seven or eight pieces of dried meat inside.
The aroma of the spicy food is irresistible, making your mouth water.
"Yunniang, come and try the spicy jerky your Aunt Zhang makes."
Ye Yunniang picked up a piece; it smelled spicy but wasn't actually that spicy.
It's very chewy, and the more you eat, the more you want to eat.
