The moment of stunned silence lasted only a blink of an eye.
Yu Wan raised her hand and pressed her forehead to relieve the throbbing pain between her brows, her rationality gradually returning. Xiao Ling cherishes her reputation so much; she wouldn't actually make that call, her aim was simply to make her submit.
Thinking about the key points, she stared intently at Xiao Ling.
Suddenly, she slowly smiled.
She raised her delicate chin slightly and said in a slow, deliberate voice, "Go ahead and hit her. I suppose my father would also like to discuss the issue of upbringing with Ms. Xiao."
Xiao Ling was suddenly taken aback.
Those eyes were dark and sharp, as if they were covered with a layer of frost and snow, and they were also full of fierceness.

She raised her hand to her forehead, blocking everyone's view, and couldn't help but resent Yu Wan in her heart. She was aggressive, cold-blooded and ruthless. Did she have to see her reputation ruined before she would stop?
Ji Yunchu was deeply shocked. Suddenly, an absurd, unbelievable, yet reasonable guess popped into her mind. Her eyes flickered as she looked at the trembling noblewoman in front of her.
After careful consideration, she stepped forward, gently took Xiao Ling's hand, and softly advised, "Aunt Xiao, don't be angry. What if you hurt yourself? We would all be heartbroken."
Xiao Ling grasped her hand in return, feeling an intense warmth against her chest. If Yu Wan were as sensible as Yun Chu, why would she be so angry?
"Cough cough..."
Zhao, who had returned, coughed lightly twice, his fist pressed to his lips: "Miss Yu, the formalities have been completed, you can go back now."
Yu Wan turned around and silently asked him with her eyes why he was here.
Team Leader Zhao explained, "That's what that person meant."

"Reconcile!" Ji Yunchu gritted her teeth.
The settlement agreement was signed quickly.
Yu Wan said to Captain Zhao, "I will send you the evidence after I have collected it."
Team Leader Zhao didn't react for a moment.
Ji Yun Chu rushed forward, her beautiful eyes almost spitting fire: "Yu Wan, what do you mean? Didn't you want to reconcile?"
Yu Wan crossed her arms and raised a delicate eyebrow: "Does Ji Chenglin's reconciliation with Meng Shen have anything to do with me reporting a case? Making a false police report is illegal, and I am a law-abiding citizen."
