Chapter 89 Wanwan, I'll help you review

"I really envy you. You're so talented and hardworking. You're practically leaving no room for anyone else to succeed." Wang Minlin praised without a doubt, "You're sure to be number one in the music department again this time."

Ji Yun Chu's lips curled slightly, but she said, "Not necessarily. Everyone has high hopes for Chen Xia. I heard that she wrote a new song, and even the dean was shocked."

Wang Minlin scoffed, "Who does Chen Xia think she is? She's not even worthy of carrying your shoes. We're all in the same college, everyone knows her skill level perfectly well. Humph, she must have stolen that score."

“Maybe she was intentionally hiding her true abilities before, and is only now showing them.” Ji Yun Chu smiled and said casually, “Even Lu Rui Feng goes to the rehearsal room every day to listen to her practice her new song.”

"What?" Wang Minlin was furious. "I'm so angry! I have to find something to use against her."

Faced with Ji Yun Chu's smiling face, she hurriedly looked away, trying to cover up her mistake: "I...I don't like Lu Rui Feng at all. I just can't stand that bitch Chen Xia. That's right."

Ji Yun Chu gave a light "hmm" in a good mood. She had achieved her goal and knew when to stop.

"By the way," Wang Minlin nudged Ji Yunchu with her hand and winked, "Are you getting engaged to President Gao?"

At this, Ji Yun Chu blushed and said sweetly, "The engagement party is on Sunday. Let's go see my dress together after class tomorrow."

"Okay, I'll be your bridesmaid at your wedding..."

Where Wang Minlin couldn't see, a hint of contempt flickered in Ji Yun Chu's eyes. Ha, choosing a mistress's daughter as her bridesmaid—was she cursing her?

Yu Wan kept her word and quickly contacted a lawyer, arranging to meet at a coffee shop the next afternoon.

She tallied up all her savings; the total was less than ten million. After thinking it over for a while, she decided to invest it all in the stock market, hoping to make a quick profit through short-term trading. If the rest wasn't enough, she would have to borrow from Meng Shen.

Although she had Old Man Yu's supplementary card, transferring out a large sum of money at once would inevitably attract his attention.

Yu Wan planned to handle this matter discreetly to prevent future troubles.

After going through everything, she felt thirsty and prepared to go downstairs to get a bottle of Coke.

Just as I came downstairs, Tang Yue happened to return.

The two stared at each other for a moment.

Yu Wan narrowed her eyes slightly. She seemed to detect a hint of resentment in Tang Yue's eyes? But upon closer inspection, she found nothing. After a moment of confusion, she calmly withdrew her gaze and walked towards the kitchen.

Tang Yue lowered his eyes, quickly suppressing the complex emotions in his heart. After thinking for a moment, he turned on his toes and walked towards the kitchen.

"It's too cold; girls shouldn't drink too much iced cola." A gentle, soothing voice suddenly sounded from behind.

Yu Wan's iced cola was snatched from her hand, and she paused, her gaze lingering.

His fingers landed on the red bottle, slender and white, beautiful and long.

Before he could even utter the words "you...", a bottle of warm milk appeared in his palm.

Yu Wan: "???"

Milk, milk, and more milk... Doesn't she look like a primary school student who drinks milk 24 hours a day?

A feeling of pent-up anger welled up in his chest, and he was about to explode.

“You haven’t been eating many vegetables lately, and milk contains vitamins,” Tang Yue explained, his gaze fixed on her with a bright and earnest expression, exuding righteousness.

Yu Wan paused for a moment, the anger in her chest instantly dissipating. She unscrewed the bottle cap, took a few sips, and said impatiently, "I know, old woman."

Tang Yue's gaze fell on the white foam around the corner of her lips, and a slight smile couldn't help but appear in his eyes. Tsk, still as adorable as ever!

He raised his hand and used the pad of his thumb to wipe it away. Then he took a step back, looking every bit the gentleman. Behind him, his fingers, which had been caressing the soft shape of her lips, slowly stroked them.

"Are you taking your final exams soon?" Tang Yue raised an eyebrow slightly. "I've already reviewed your coursework for this semester and found your study notes for the corresponding subjects from last year. I'll help you review in a bit, okay?"

Yu Wan: "..."

Tang Yue looked up and smiled, his expression gentle and warm. His way of speaking, patient and respectful inquiring, made him impossible to dislike.

"No need, being a slacker is fine." Yu Wan defiantly raised her chin. The reason she disliked Tang Yue in the first place was because he always got first place in his class, and she could hear nothing but praise for him everywhere. And she was the contrasting example of a slacker from a wealthy family!

He unleashed all the pent-up frustrations of the past few years, spouting nonsense: "Of course, a high-achieving student like you will never understand the joy of a mediocre student. Skipping classes, climbing over walls, standing under the national flag to write self-criticisms... that's what youth is all about."

Tang Yue frowned and thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement: "You're right, I didn't have a youth." His voice carried a hint of genuine sadness.

Thinking of Tang Yue's life experiences, Yu Wan was speechless. She wanted to speak, but couldn't bring herself to do it.

"I'm actually quite envious of you," Tang Yue suddenly said.

Yu Wan's eyes lit up, and her voice held a hint of excitement: "Envious of me?"

Tang Yue hummed in agreement and pursed his lips slightly: "Free and unrestrained, doing whatever I want."

My thoughts drifted back to a dinner party several years ago.

Although he was only a sophomore in college, he had been working with Grandpa Tang for some time. After entertaining a group of people, he made an excuse to go to the garden for some fresh air and accidentally saw a little girl pinning a group of people to the ground and beating them up.

After being discovered, the little girl crossed her arms and arrogantly raised her chin: "Have you seen enough? Go ahead and call someone if you want."

Tang Yue looked at the tiny figure, barely reaching his chest, and smiled. Looking into those bright eyes in the dim light, he unusually felt a surge of kindness and lowered his voice, saying, "Do you know which parts of the human body hurt a lot when hit, but don't leave visible marks? Let me tell you..."
