Chapter 38
After watering the flowers in the morning, I carried the trash in one hand and led Jiangjiang downstairs with the other. After throwing away the trash, I took her to the pet store and then went to the nearby library for a stroll.
Sometimes we'd come to the library together. You're a finance guy with no literary aspirations, and I'm a science girl who loves literature. When we come here, all we can do is browse through the works of a few great authors who have made their mark throughout history. Then we'd find a corner, sit for a few hours, and after a hot pot dinner, all our literary flair would vanish completely.
After Jiang Jiang finished her shower, I suddenly wanted to eat barbecue, the kind of barbecue you took me to on our anniversary, but I had to give up because my dog was with me.
When I got home, I made a bowl of wontons. They smelled so good.
During my afternoon nap, Jiayi asked me to go shopping. She was drawing illustrations at home and going out to find inspiration.
We met up at 3 p.m. and sat in the children's clothing section for half an hour. I let her pick out clothes for Shuzai while I just leaned against her, bored and lost in thought.
In the evening, we picked up Shuzai and went to eat grilled fish. We ate until we were stuffed. After dinner, we went for a walk in the park. Later, Lin Tao came and took me home before they went back.
I opened the door and Jiangjiang rushed over, wagging its tail. I squatted down and petted it; the puppy felt wonderful after its bath.
When I went to brush my teeth, I knocked your razor off. I picked it up and pressed it, and a buzzing sound suddenly started.
Countless mornings, I woke up to this sound, washed up, asked for a kiss, and ate breakfast.
Am I so wicked that God would take away my lover?
I was gripping the sink when I looked up and saw my face covered in tears in the mirror. I quickly looked down, and the tears fell, mixing with the water in the sink and flowing down the drain.
