Incineration

Incineration

The sun was blazing brightly in the sky, and Class 1 was standing at attention on the playground as punishment. The other classes had already finished their lunch and returned to the dormitory, but some of them still made fun of them as they passed by the playground.

"Hey, Class 1 is still standing here?"

Suddenly, a man emerged from the crowd of people heading back to the dormitories, dove headfirst into a line, hooked his arm around Chen An's shoulder, and whispered, "What's going on? Is the first day so bad?"

Chen An shrugged, put the pig's trotter away, and said impatiently, "How should I know?"

"Tsk tsk tsk, buddy feels sorry for you." As he took out a popsicle from the red plastic bag, Chen An's expression relaxed a little, and he opened his mouth waiting for someone to feed him.

As a result, the popsicle circled in front of him and went into Zhu Congxin's mouth!

"Zhu Congxin, you're kidding me!"

Zhu Congxin felt no guilt at all and gloated, "I didn't say I was giving it to you."

Chen An punched him and drove him away.

He and Zhu Congxin were roommates, but they weren't in the same class. Honestly, no one in their dorm shared the same major. Chen An was studying criminal investigation, and Zhu Congxin was studying law. They were completely unrelated, and even though they didn't have enough dorm space to share, no one said a word when they were late.

On the first day of military training, they were sadly informed that the instructor in charge of them could not come due to some matters. The original class teacher was then notified and replaced by an airborne instructor from the next class. He took over the instructor's training on the first day, and the training time was twice as long as others.

At dinner time, he went to eat, leaving them standing miserably in the sun.

After standing for three hours, his military training uniform was already soaked with sweat. During this period, classmates fainted one after another. It was not until the person next to him fell down that he helped the person to rest under a tree and then he took a break.

This is eighteen-year-old Chen An, who is still childish and, like other children of his age, has a bit of confusion in his eyes.

Qiao Qingfeng is not a serious university teacher. He doesn't like to teach theory. Whenever he has time, he will drag them to the training ground to "sit". He often uses the Huo Huo special police's tactics on them, and obstacle races, sprinting, and rock climbing are commonplace.

At one point, I got so addicted to it that I even had the school pay for a new training ground, designing the program myself. The most memorable moment was the first time they were asked to traverse difficult terrain. The moment the mud splattered from the water guns, all they could say was, "Oh my god!"

If you ask which of these many events Chen An likes best, it must be downhill racing.

Qiao Qingfeng had seen his shooting results and thought he'd enjoy it, but it turned out he loved rappelling. When asked why, the guy smiled and confidently said, "Because I'm handsome!"

Every time there's a rappelling event, there are always people who don't dare to jump. Even with a rope tied around their waist, it's a considerable challenge for ordinary people. Fortunately, Chen An isn't afraid of heights. He's always the first to jump, and his jumps are so smooth and efficient that sometimes even attract onlookers from other colleges.

Until his first mission with the investigation team, he just thought being a policeman was a cool thing.

"Master?"

The young man Chen An opened the office door and agreed to go to his master's house for dinner after class, but Qiao Qingfeng was nowhere to be seen.

He and Qiao Qingfeng became acquainted during their sophomore year. His academic performance was average, but his practical performance was very good. Qiao Qingfeng saw his value and knew his experience, so he often invited him to his home during the holidays and treated him like his own son.

If possible, he really wanted time to stop here.

"Master?"

Chen An went down the stairs to look for him, but the whole building was suddenly empty. There was no one in the corridor or on the stairs. He stopped and stood on the steps. He saw Qiao Qingfeng get into a black car from a distance. He didn't care about anything else and ran away, shouting as he ran.

His voice gradually transitioned from the childishness of a teenager to the calmness of a young man. When he ran down to stop the car, he looked like a young man.

Qiao Qingfeng was forced to get out of the car, and Chen An asked him where he was going, panting.

He said, ā€œI’m going to do what I have to do.ā€

Chen An immediately said, "I want to go too! I'll go with you!"

Qiao Qingfeng shook his head and pointed behind him.

The sobs grew louder and louder. Chen An's brain froze for a second, then he turned around. The boy was half a head shorter than him, rubbing his eyes and crying.

He recognized the boy. When he met him on the first day, he was also wearing the same school uniform, a short-sleeved shirt mainly white with some green mixed in, and the logo of Key No. 1 Middle School embroidered on the chest.

At this moment, he finally understood something.

Chen An's toes unconsciously turned toward the crying boy. Suddenly, he spoke, choking with sobs as he called out, "Brother."

Jiang Li never called him brother after moving back, and the first time he called him was in a dream.

The tears of young people always made him feel soft-hearted. Jiang Li lowered his head, and his tears fell on the red brick floor, seeping in and leaving only a small black dot.

"Brother is here." After Chen An said that, he squatted down and put his head close to his.

She slowly raised her hand to wipe away his tears, but found that she couldn't do it at all, she couldn't touch him.

At this moment, Jiang Li suddenly raised his head and looked at him, his eyes were red and swollen, and his nose was twitching.

Suddenly, the sky and the earth changed, the sunlight was blocked by dark clouds, and rumbling thunder followed the falling raindrops. Jiang Li's gaze ignored him and fell directly on the person behind him.

Chen An turned his head and saw a back, a back he was not familiar with.

Jiang Li suddenly rushed forward and chased after the figure, shouting at him, "Chen An! Wait for me, wait for me! Don't go, don't go!"

Raindrops hit Jiang Li's face hard, but not a single drop landed on him. Chen An chased after him and shouted in his ear, "He's not me! I'm here! Jiang Li, I'm here!"

The young man turned a deaf ear and ran straight towards the resolute figure in front of him.

In the dream, he only stopped for Jiang Li for a moment, then opened the car door and drove away, completely ignoring the boy chasing him.

The man disappeared, and Jiang Li knelt on the ground, soaked all over, with a dim look in his eyes.

Chen An then knelt down and tried his best to hug him in his arms, but Jiang Li did not react. Only then did he feel deeply regretful.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. It's my fault for making you so sad."

"I clearly saw it, I clearly know that you like me, and I too... I've liked you for a long time, but I never admitted it. I was always distant and close to you, lying about being your brother, but in fact, I just didn't dare to admit that I liked you too. I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

Chen An hugged him, not knowing who of them was trembling.

After the rain, the sky cleared up and the rain in the dream stopped. It turned out that the sunny light outside the dream shone into the dream.

The person on the hospital bed moved his index finger slightly, then the other fingers, and his eyelashes trembled. The person who had been in a coma for several days finally woke up. Outside the window, the green leaves swayed, casting mottled shadows. The situation was a bit similar to last time, but last time he was the one waiting.

As expected, his hand was used as a pillow under someone's face, and the slightest movement woke the person up.

Jiang Li was slightly startled. He turned around and was about to run out to find the nurse, but was pulled back. A warm, dry hand grasped his hand. He heard the person say softly, "Don't go."

And then he really didn't leave.
