Chapter 7

Chapter 7

As an old dragon king, oh no, I mean a young dragon king, when faced with his first egg... child, he was indeed very at a loss, completely bewildered, panicked, and flustered.

As Ao Guang looked at his first cub, he thought this.

Oh, this isn't a baby, it's an egg.

Looking at the egg, his heart, after going through a series of ups and downs, finally began to settle down on a quiet morning.

At this moment, he was lying on the bedside, using all his energy to quietly watch over Yinglong and their child.

After a long pregnancy, they finally welcomed their first child.

A child who was hard-won.

Even the Dragon King, who usually appeared dignified and solemn in public, felt as if his soul had been ripped out after this ordeal. He was still quite young and this was the first time he had experienced something like this, and he almost tortured himself to death.

But Yinglong only found him noisy.

Previously, whenever she made any sound, even if it wasn't a sound from her belly, he would panic, frantically babbling incoherently, almost unable to catch his breath, just frantically trying to find a comfortable position to hold her close.

When she slapped him away and ordered him not to come near her again, he jumped around the house, running around and muttering incoherently. Eventually, he started talking nonsense and rambling on and on... In short, he couldn't stay still.

Yinglong kept wondering when this stupid dragon would finally stop.

Then, when it came time for the actual delivery, he became strangely calm. Perhaps he knew that no matter how panicked or scared he was, it would be useless. He was now her support, and his top priority was to protect her. So he became extremely calm, focusing all his energy on regulating his magic, staying by her side day and night to protect her.

For an unknown amount of time, time seemed to stand still in the East Sea.

Not only inside, but outside was also eerily quiet. The entire Dragon Palace was on high alert, with its defense mechanisms at their highest level. The soldiers on the city walls were on guard day and night without the slightest slackening, all in preparation for any potential invasion by external enemies at this crucial moment. The atmosphere was solemn... This underwater world exuded an unconscious tension from top to bottom.

Unfortunately, despite the Dragon Palace's extensive preparations, the enemy they encountered this time was not an external foe.

Perhaps because it was the first offspring, Yinglong conceived a very mischievous egg. Every time it gave a signal, it was just trying to test the waters. After doing this many times, it still didn't want to come out. It just wanted to play with its old father over and over again.

Ao Guang's heart pounded with each breath, a mixture of suffocation and gasping. He looked at Ying Long, forcing himself to remain calm. At this moment, he was not only the Dragon King, the ruler of the sea, but also her pillar of support and the father of their child. He was calmer and more clear-headed than anyone else.

He has to protect her.

Perhaps because his heart was so devout, after a long time had passed, Yinglong finally had a stronger reaction.

The egg is finally ready to hatch.

Ao Guang felt as if his heart was about to leap out of his chest, his chest churning with indescribable anxiety and pain. His gaze was fixed on Ying Long, as if she were the only person left in the world. He held his breath and frantically mobilized all his magical power to completely surround Ying Long.

Golden light emanated from them, dazzling and resolute, as if carrying all of Ao Guang's prayers and strength. He had only one thought in his mind at that moment: to give her more time and strength. He knew that Yinglong was on the verge of life and death, and all he could do was support her with everything he had, no matter the cost!

However, he overlooked the fact that Yinglong was, after all, an ancient divine dragon. Although such a process of gestation was laborious, her own magic was fully capable of ensuring her safe passage through it.

In conclusion, Xiaolong's anxiety and clumsiness inexplicably added a little trouble for others.

"If only I had kicked this guy out," Yinglong thought as he struggled.

After a very long time of hard work, the results came out.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the golden egg in front of them.

Cheers gradually rose from outside the Dragon Palace, and the news swept through every citizen of the Dragon Palace. Everyone knew that the Dragon King's first offspring had been born.

Inside the Dragon Palace, all was quiet. Ao Guang's magic had not dissipated; the golden light continued to surround the bed, protecting the mother and child.

It's alright!

It's alright!

Ao Guang's heart was still uneasy, as if he had not yet recovered from the tension... He just kept holding Ying Long's hand tightly, as if it were his only support.

"Silly dragon... let go..."

Yinglong felt that his palms were covered in sweat, sticky and clammy...

The Little Dragon King couldn't hear him; he just moved closer and closer to her. No matter what happened, all he wanted to do at that moment was stay by her side and not think about anything else.

Yinglong simply let him go.

The two seemed to be of one mind; one slept peacefully, while the other silently watched over them, and time quietly slipped away in this tender care.

Now everyone knows that the East Sea Dragon Clan has an heir; all that's left is for the dragon egg to hatch, and then the Dragon King's first child will be truly born.

However, Yinglong and the Little Dragon King disagreed on how to hatch the egg.

“Sigh, according to my original plan, after I gave birth to my baby, I was going to travel to the far northwest. I heard that there is a war between humans and demons there, and it has been very turbulent. I have to go and see.” Yinglong pondered, as if she was considering whether this trip was feasible.

"No, no, that won't do. Your body hasn't fully recovered yet," Ao Guang immediately objected.

"I've already recovered." This wasn't something to worry about, and Yinglong didn't take it to heart.

"Ken, that definitely won't work! You haven't fully recovered yet!" the Little Dragon King exclaimed anxiously!

Yinglong sighed, "That's just what I thought back then, I never said I was really leaving, can you please not get so agitated?"

The cub has been born for quite some time now, and this little silly dragon is still so noisy.

"Okay." Ao Guang listened obediently and continued to lower his head and lie by the bedside.

It was late at night, and the entire sea was quiet. Yinglong was lying peacefully on the bed with an egg beside him.

Ao Guang then spread his arms wide, one hand holding the person and the other holding the egg.

The egg has been in the world for some time now, but the two of them haven't yet figured out how to hatch it.

I simply place it quietly on the bed every day, and look at it every moment.

In fact, Yinglong had already found an excellent place to place her child. When she was exploring the deep sea, she found a cultivation pavilion somewhere in the deep sea. It seemed to be the warmest place in the sea, and it was also the warmest place in the sea. Presumably, if she put her child there, it would hatch quickly.

She shared this suggestion with the Little Dragon King, but he said no.

"I, I will incubate it myself."

"That place is warm. I'll set up a temperature-controlled barrier, and you can just check on it every day. You don't need to incubate it anymore."

"No, I want to hatch."

This little dragon king is very stubborn.

He kept his word, and so he actually started his daily egg-hatching routine.

Every morning, this silly dragon would wake up holding his dragon egg. After waking up, he would settle the egg and turn around to kiss someone again, only to find the bed empty. Whenever this happened, Yinglong would always take advantage of his inattention to go to the seabed to "fight". She had been trapped by him for so long during her pregnancy, and now that she was free, she quickly went to the seabed to run all over the world.

The Little Dragon King's search yielded nothing, but it's alright, he'll see her tonight.

Then he began to do his day's work in a routine manner.

It must be said that being the Dragon King is a very busy day. Every morning, he must carefully read official documents, handle government affairs, and then resolve various conflicts and disputes among the sea monsters. In between, he must also listen to the reports from the aquatic officials on the situation in the sea. Only when it is close to noon can he go back to incubate his cubs. Then it is lunchtime. In the afternoon, he routinely patrols the sea area and handles various emergencies. Even in his spare time, he must remember to cultivate.

In the afternoon, time was limited, and even though he rushed around, he only had about an hour to incubate the eggs.

So, there are only two hours a day to incubate the eggs, which is far from enough for Ao Guang. He doesn't think he can only give his child that much.

The Little Dragon King pondered deeply, and one day he had a flash of inspiration!

From now on, every night, I should transform into a dragon and incubate the child!

This gives them a whole night to incubate, and over time, that will definitely be enough time.

So that night, he transformed into a giant dragon and coiled on the bed. When Yinglong returned and saw this, he was completely baffled.

"Little Dragon King, how am I supposed to sleep if you're like this?"

This clumsy dragon was enormous; when it coiled up, it filled the entire bed.

He patted Yinglong's head in a flattering manner, then moved himself outwards, making a large space for himself.

He held the egg up safely.

But when Yinglong was about to go to bed, he couldn't find a comfortable way to sleep. Who could sleep with such a huge dragon body by their side?

Having this huge thing next to me always made me feel incredibly oppressed, as if danger would strike at any moment.

There's no way around it; as dragons, the size difference between a dragon's body and a human's body is simply too great.

When she couldn't fall asleep and kept tossing and turning, she came up with a good idea!

She transformed back into her dragon form and lay down on Ao Guang's body. Now she could finally sleep, and she could sleep very comfortably.

The fluffy hair on Ao Guang's back felt as comfortable as downy grass; lying on it, you could feel a soft, squishy sensation beneath you.

Ao Guang waited patiently until she adjusted her position and comfortably lowered her head. He couldn't help but turn his head and lick her. Seeing that she was comfortable and the dragon egg was safe and sound, he finally found a position and fell into a deep sleep.

For a long time, the family of three slept like this.

Later, he finally found a balance, or perhaps the world was really peaceful recently. Ao Guang's daily routines began to decrease, so he had more and more free time during the day. He didn't want to spend all of that time incubating eggs.

He stayed peacefully in his palace, closed his eyes, placed the dragon egg at the very center of his body, and then surrounded it with layers of fabric. The dragon egg inside looked like a pearl embedded in layers of embracing it.

Later, he even developed some tips for hatching. Every time he hatched an egg, he would flip it over to turn it over and continue hatching. This ensured that the dragon egg was heated evenly.

Every time Yinglong came back and saw him like this, she couldn't help but laugh, and she couldn't resist teasing him:

"Should I cast a spell and inject some energy to make the dragon egg grow quickly, so you won't have to work so hard?"

"No! How can I use magic? This is like pulling up seedlings to help them grow; how can they possibly be as healthy as those I hatched myself?"

"We must respect the laws of nature!"

"Absolutely not!"

Three consecutive rejections, as if he were terrified.

Yinglong sighed. This stupid dragon always falls for the same trick, but every time it happens.

They got so angry after being scammed.

"Alright, alright, you hatch it."

Ao Guang devoted most of his day to his child, doing everything himself. He didn't know when his child would hatch, but he knew that now was the time for him to work hard, so he never let up.

One day in the future, he will surely be able to witness the birth of his child.

The thought of this made him feel very happy, and he was full of energy to incubate the eggs!
