Chapter 8 Trust: "You tried to sleep with me."

Chapter 8 Trust: "You tried to sleep with me."

Realizing this, Song Luoyun slowly backed away, watching the man not far away warily.

He casually loosened his tie, took off his coat and placed it on the sofa, and unhurriedly unbuttoned the cuffs of his shirt.

Song Luoyun was so frightened that her hair stood on end, and she leaned against the curved sofa to shield herself.

Fu Huaizhi walked to the pool table.

I turned on the light, grabbed a stick, and dusted it with chalk.

After setting up the scaffolding, he only said two words: "Come here."

The billiard ball bounced out, the heavy impact startling her. The balls scattered and fell into the pocket.

"Since she was sent here, shouldn't she act like she was sent here?" Fu Huaizhi said calmly, but his gaze did not linger on her.

"President Fu," Song Luoyun said, speaking to him from a distance, "wasn't this all part of your plan?"

"Really?" Another ball went into the pocket.

The male voice said, "No one helped you into my car. You walked up yourself. Wasn't that voluntary?"

“No…” Song Luoyun wanted to argue.

"Come here." But he shut her down with one sentence: "Don't make me say it a third time."

Song Luoyun bit her lip and slowly walked over.

There was another reason she got into his car: she was betting he wouldn't hurt her.

If she didn't come, she would probably lose her job, but if she came, she would have another chance, so she could only choose the latter.

Countless reasons flashed through her mind, waiting to be explained when she got closer to Fu Huai.

Unexpectedly, he said something completely unrelated: "Do you know how to play billiards?"

"...No." Song Luoyun had no idea what he was up to.

"Come here, I'll teach you."

"..."

Song Luoyun clenched his fist, wanting to grab another pool cue, but was told to go back and use only the one he had.

“Give me your hand,” he said.

Song Luoyun reluctantly reached out.

The man's calloused fingertips grasped her slender wrist, placed it on the pool table, and quickly bent her hand into a standard brace.

"Hold on, grip here." He placed the club in her hands, gesturing for her to hold the butt. "Crouch down and aim."

He walked to the side, lit a cigarette, and stared at Song Luoyun's movements.

She struggled to maintain her balance, gripping the club haphazardly, and as expected, she squashed it.

Fu Huaizhi flicked the ash from his cigarette and walked over.

He covered the woman's fair hand with his palm, almost pulling her into his arms.

"Keep your elbows still, keep your body stable, and focus on the center of your body when hitting the ball."

With increased force in his hand, the ball sank steadily into the hole with a crisp sound.

Song Luoyun dared not breathe too hard. The hand holding the cigarette was so close to hers, the burning heat of the cigarette butt scalding her through the air, and the pungent smell kept assaulting her nostrils.

Her beautiful, willow-leaf eyebrows furrowed slightly. She disliked the smell of smoke, but she wasn't foolish enough to think he would quit for her. Her eyes were fixed on the pool table, her lips pressed into a thin line, and she gently held her breath.

The person behind him remained silent for a moment.

The man loosened his grip slightly and released her, then quietly walked around to the trash can and stubbed out his cigarette.

It was as if I could hear her thoughts.

He unscrewed the mineral water bottle on the table, looked at the woman practicing alone, and asked, "How many times is this?"

"What?" Song Luoyun scoffed again.

"The number of times he made you drink with him."

"I don't know." Song Luoyun forced a polite tone. "Wasn't it your request? They said you're interested in me, how could I refuse?"

"Who was the last one?" Fu Huaizhi asked.

Song Luoyun couldn't understand his train of thought: "What do you mean, the previous one?"

Fu Huaizhi returned to her side, seemingly still angry, gripping her hand even tighter and rubbing the back of it forcefully.

He said, "The last person who made you spend time with them."

Song Luoyun winced in pain and tried to pull away, but he held her even tighter, not giving her a chance to escape.

"say."

Fu Huaizhi asked in a deep voice, "Where did he touch you?"

"No, no one, this is the first time." Song Luoyun didn't dare to use force, but he was still pulled and hit the white ball.

Her back stiffened because Fu Huaizhi not only used his arms but also thrust his body forward, his chest slamming into her waist.

They were so close that she could feel his burning body.

"Would you come if it were someone else?" Fu Huaizhi asked her.

Song Luoyun: "No."

She had no choice but to say no.

Fu Huaizhi chuckled: "You're pretty quick to lie."

He let go of her, walked around to the other side of the pool table, and gestured for her to come over.

He then asked, "Why did you reject the team I introduced to you?"

The one he introduced? DY Studio?

Song Luoyun had no choice but to interpret his underlying meaning.

Song Luoyun said, "I'm doing quite well at my current company, and I have no intention of changing jobs."

"Good?" Fu Huaizhi laughed again. "You tried to sleep with me, and you think I'm a scoundrel. The company tried to make you sleep with other people, and you think the company is doing you a favor. Song Luoyun, why don't you show even half the tolerance you show to others?"

"..."

He seemed unconcerned and calmly asked, "You don't trust me?"

Song Luoyun quickly replied, "No."

"You lied again."

He hit another ball.

This time, it was the man's waist that hit her.

Her legs almost gave way, and she collapsed onto the table.

He was tormenting her, expressing his dissatisfaction with her in his own way.

Song Luoyun supported herself with her hands, unable to hide her embarrassment.

"Stand up and hit that ball," a male voice whispered in her ear.

It was a straight shot, not difficult to hit, but the man's hand was still around her. She looked at him and wanted him to leave, but he didn't move and shrugged, saying, "I won't put in the effort, you hit it."

Song Luoyun closed his eyes and randomly poked the ball forward, but the white ball didn't even hit the red ball on the other side and went straight into the pocket.

A soft laugh suddenly came from above. He let go of her hand, walked to the bag opening, and picked it up. His mood actually calmed down a bit.

He also told her, "This kind of thing will happen again if it happens once, so you might as well leave now."

"It's nothing." Song Luoyun casually touched a ball beside her, sometimes pushing it to the edge, sometimes pushing it back with her right hand.

"My postgraduate entrance exam interview results will be out soon. If I pass, I won't need this job anymore," she said.

"Thump—"

A ball spun straight toward her, brushed past her hand and fell into her bag, bringing with it a gust of cold wind.

She dared not leave her hand there any longer, so she pulled it back.

Fu Huaizhi asked her, "Which school are you applying to?"

"Kyoto University."

When will the results be released?

"tomorrow."

Are you confident?

Sometimes his words sound like the concern of an ordinary elder for her. If there were no ulterior motives, he might be a very caring older brother.

But he is not.

Definitely not.

Song Luoyun lowered her head: "I'm confident, my grades are very good."

"What if you don't pass the exam?" Fu Huaizhi asked her.

Song Luoyun said, "I won't fail the exam. I came in first place in the preliminary exam."

He suddenly chuckled softly: "Is this important to you?"

"certainly."

"Why?"

“My major requires a degree.” Song Luoyun waited for him to ask, not wanting to answer too much.

"If you earn enough money at work, will you continue studying your major?"

"……Um."

Song Luoyun didn't know why he was suddenly so curious about her studies, but she found that he had more control over her than she had imagined. He knew that she was short of money and that she was only working to earn money.

She was always too insignificant in his presence.

Fu Huaizhi didn't speak again, and Song Luoyun didn't take the initiative to start a conversation. While he was focused on the billiards, she briefly opened her phone.

More than 20 missed calls, all from Fu Zeming.

At the same time, he sent countless messages.

【Where are you? 】

Why aren't you answering the phone?

[Answer the phone! What happened?]

Which private room at the Beijing Club? Call me back quickly.

I've arrived. I'll search one by one; don't be afraid.

Song Luoyun suddenly didn't know how to reply to him.

Torn between guilt and helplessness, she only hoped he would take her away, but even if he came now, it would be of no use.

“Tell him where we are,” Fu Huaizhi’s voice came from behind.

Song Luoyun's eyes widened, and she quickly flipped her phone face down to face him.

He left silently, and she didn't even know when he appeared behind her.

"Tell him." Fu Huaizhi reached behind her and touched her phone. "Why don't you dare? Are you afraid he'll find out that something unspeakable has happened between you and me?"

"Brother Fu." Song Luoyun quickly grabbed his hand and struggled to snatch back the phone, determined not to let him get it.

Suddenly, her hand was slammed onto the pool table with even greater force, and a hand gripped her chin as a fierce kiss descended upon her.

"No, no—"

Song Luoyun felt as if she were being bitten, as if a wild beast was beside her, punishing her fiercely and erasing any traces that others might have left on her.

Unbeknownst to her, someone had stormed into the club twenty minutes earlier, using their status to question all the staff and frantically pushing open doors one by one, searching frantically.

They had now reached the 32nd floor, their current floor.

Outside the door, chaos reigned; inside, only two people were passionately kissing.

"Luo Yun—"

Upon hearing the sound, Song Luoyun quickly pushed the man away, desperately lowering her head to prevent him from controlling her again.

The door opened, she turned around, and helplessly grabbed the pool cue stick.

"Big brother?" Fu Zeming frowned when he saw the person next to Song Luoyun.

"What is it?" Fu Huaizhi's expression was as if he had been frozen in ice, his sharp gaze fixed on the newcomer.

Fu Zemin's eyes were bloodshot, and his hands still bore the marks he had made in his haste, from which blood was still flowing down, a shocking sight.

"Brother, what...did you do to her?" He looked at Song Luoyun's disheveled appearance, her hair messy, and her eyes darting away. He was afraid that she had been forced.

"What have I done that I need to report to you?" Fu Huaizhi said coldly.

Fu Zeming was still apprehensive. Within the Fu family, apart from the patriarch, Fu Huaizhi was the most powerful. Only he was in charge of their affairs, and they had never been qualified to ask him to report.

But for Song Luoyun's sake, he could only try his best to remain calm: "Brother, Luoyun is innocent. Can you please let her go? She is mine."

"Your person?" Fu Huaizhi raised an eyebrow, his words dripping with sarcasm. "How could you not even protect your own person, letting her appear here?"

“I…” Fu Zeming was speechless.

Before coming, he had considered countless possibilities: she might be harassed and forced to drink to amuse herself; or she might encounter something even more extreme. Each possibility made him furious, his eyes turning red, and he wanted nothing more than to tear them apart.

But to everyone's surprise, Fu Huaizhi was there, and it was just the two of them.

How did they end up together? Was he the one who hurt her, or the one who protected her?

He had no time to think about any of this; he couldn't calm down and was completely out of control.

Song Luoyun remained held in Fu Huaizhi's arms. She disliked this passive position and tried to push Fu Huaizhi away during their argument.

Unexpectedly, the hand blocking his way never loosened its grip; as he struggled, it held him even tighter.

"Brother Fu, could you please let me go?" she said, believing that Fu Huaizhi would not overstep his bounds in front of Fu Zeming.

Fu Huaizhi lowered his head and whispered in her ear, "You didn't think of resisting just now, but you're being tough now?"

This distance seemed too intimate to Fu Zeming, and his strong possessiveness made him want to rush over and take the person back.

But all he could say was, "Brother, I came here just to check if Luo Yun is alright. Since she's fine, could you please let go of her and let us go first?"

"You just arrived, why are you in such a hurry to leave?" Fu Huaizhi loosened his grip slightly, and Song Luoyun noticed it. She quickly broke free and walked briskly to a position close to Fu Zeming.

The man looked at her, unhurriedly, and continued, "I heard that a few more friends are coming. Why don't you stay a little longer?"

"No, it has nothing to do with us," Fu Zeming said coldly.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a voice came from the doorway.

As the man turned the corner, he stepped in with a smile, but his smile froze the moment he saw the people inside.

Song Luoyun looked at him and the people behind him, and closed her eyes in distress.

Silence fell over the surroundings.
