Chapter 153 Time Has Passed

Ning Yizhan knew he couldn't hide it anymore, so he said, "It's not serious."

"Let me see," Qiu Hu thought of the past few days they had spent together and assumed he was really busy, probably to prevent her from noticing anything unusual. She tried to pull open his clothes, but he held her back.

Qiu Hu repeated himself, his tone a bit harsher, "Let me see," his eyes warning him to let go.

Ning Yizhan's hands were pried open by Qiu Hu, and his clothes were undone, revealing that they were indeed wrapped in gauze. Seeing that the man didn't intend to turn around, she had no choice but to run behind him to look. A patch of red had stained the gauze red.

She hesitated to touch it, and muttered, "It's bleeding."

"It's okay, I'll take care of it later."

"Let me help you, now!" With that, he rushed downstairs and came back with a first-aid kit in his hand.

"Don't rush, baby," Ning Yizhan said, noticing her slight panting and the speed at which she was running.

"Hmm," she said, having already removed the gauze. Looking at the wound on her back, which was severe and deep, she seemed to have a lump in her throat. "Was this injury in K country?"

"Yes, the situation was a bit urgent at the time, and there wasn't time to deal with it," Ning Yizhan said truthfully.

Seeing that Qiu Hu remained silent, he comforted him, "I'm really fine." In fact, he had fainted from the pain at the time, but of course, he wouldn't tell Qiu Hu this.

Qiu Hu carefully tended to his wounds and casually hummed in agreement.

Ning Yizhan thought she was still angry and wanted to turn around to look at her, but his movement touched the medicine in Qiu Hu's hand. "Hiss!" The pain was so intense that his shoulders couldn't help but start to tremble.

"What are you doing? It doesn't hurt enough, why are you moving it!" Qiu Hu said fiercely, looking at his stupid behavior.

Ning Yizhan wasn't bothered by the scolding; he was actually feeling quite pleased with himself. "Oh, I won't move!"

After Qiu Hu finished bandaging him, he asked, "So this is why you've been avoiding me these past few days?"

"Yes," he said. He was hospitalized just two days ago, but he was discharged because of the news from here and rushed over.

"From now on, you must tell me anything that happens to you," Qiu Hu said, looking at Ning Yizhan, whose face was pale after the pain subsided.

"I know I don't want you to worry."

Upon hearing this, Qiu Hu exploded, his expression becoming anxious. "Why can't you tell me? Does that mean I won't worry? This is just your opinion!"

Qiu Hu was a little angry. He let go of Ning Yizhan, sat on the sofa, and moved a little further away from him.

Ning Yizhan did not expect her to react so strongly. His anger was obvious. On the way here, he had already learned about A Yi's situation and he also understood why Qiu Hu was acting this way.

After a moment of silence, Ning Yizhan walked up to her, squatted down, and looked at Qiu Hu, who was on the verge of tears. "Okay, I promise you, I'll tell you everything."

"Hmm," Qiu Hu realized how vulnerable she was, and even took the initiative to hug Ning Yizhan, who had just been arguing with her.

Ayi's incident dealt them a heavy blow, and it took them a long time to recover. Old Master Qiu knew that his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson were still alive, so he came several times to urge them to go back.

Okay, life goes on!

The Qiu family of four returned home, a home they hadn't been to in over a decade. The Qiu couple were filled with emotion, but Zhao Shi had little recollection of them.

Grandpa Qiu and Qiu Lan were waiting for them at the door. When he saw his son and daughter-in-law, tears streamed down his face. It really was them!

"dad".

"You're back! It's good to see you back. Come in quickly." A group of people entered the house.

"Xiao Xi, this is Grandpa!" Zhao Yan'er pulled Zhao Shi to Grandpa Qiu's side.

Looking at the dignified yet kind old man, Zhao Shi called out in a clear voice, "Grandpa."

"Hey, good boy!" Grandpa Qiu looked at his poor grandson and sighed, "Time flies so fast, he's grown up so much. You'd better remember Grandpa from now on!"

Zhao Shi has now figured everything out and his illness is cured, thanks to Qiu Jing's research over the years. He has also broken ties with Lin Ning, and he will not return to the Lin family. Although he has lived a good life in the Lin family over the years, Qiu Jing has taken him to their home to make things clear. On the surface, Lin Ning seems to have done nothing, but Qiu Jing is not going to let him off so easily.

In the end, the Lin couple took Lin Ning abroad and never dared to return.

"Grandpa, I will always remember you."

The family reunion was a joyous occasion, but unfortunately, an uninvited guest arrived – Jiang Yun, whom they hadn't seen in a long time.

"Why are you here?" Qiu Hu asked as Jiang Yun, who had already stood up, walked into the living room.

"Ha, Qiu Hu, you've reunited your family. Don't forget, you're the one who broke up my family. And if it weren't for you helping that bitch Shu Zi, she wouldn't have come back, and I wouldn't have ended up like this." Jiang Yun looked at the people in the room who filled her with hatred.

"Yes, I did it all. What are you going to do about it?" Qiu Hu wanted to see how far Jiang Yun planned to go.

"Jiang Yun, get out! This place is no longer your home!" Old Master Qiu looked at his granddaughter. She had come to cause trouble countless times before. He had been soft-hearted and given her many things, with the only condition being that they sever ties. He never expected that she would come knocking again in such a short time.

"Grandpa, can your little possessions compare to the entire enemy family? How can you be so biased?"

"How did Jiang Yun become like this? He used to be a bit mean, but he seemed pretty normal!" Zhao Yan'er complained from behind.

"Who are you calling abnormal!" Jiang Yun stared intently at Zhao Yan'er, who had been cursing her.

Despite being scolded, Zhao Yan'er didn't lose any of her momentum. "Jiang Yun, if it weren't for Qiu Bing back then, our family of four wouldn't have only just reunited now. Don't push your luck."

"That's what you deserve! How come that bitch Qiu Hu wasn't poisoned when she was a child! Otherwise I..."

Before Jiang Yun could finish speaking, Zhao Yan'er rushed up to her and slapped her across the face. "You dare to harm my daughter? I think your family is the one who's asking for death!"

"Ah, you dare hit me!" Jiang Yun's face was slapped to the side and immediately became red and swollen.

Zhao Yan'er slapped him again, "That's what I'm doing. You really think Qiu Hu has no one backing you up, huh!" She grabbed Jiang Yun's collar and slapped him again.

"ah".

Jiang Yun had absolutely no strength to resist.

Tired of beating her, he dragged Jiang Yun out to the old house gate, threw her hard to the ground, and said to the security guards, "Recognize this person's face. Beat them up every time they come. I'll take responsibility if anything happens."

He then clapped his hands crisply and went inside.

Everyone in the room stared at her in astonishment, except for Qiu Jing, who covered her head and explained with a smile, "I couldn't help it for a moment."

Qiu Jing: This is his dear wife's true nature; he couldn't hide it from her after all.

"Mom, you're amazing!" Qiu Hu stepped forward, hugged her, and snuggled against her in her arms, exclaiming with delight.
