"Can't you speak properly? Your words are so venomous."
"It's just a matter of giving them a taste of their own medicine. Either they apologize, or we'll hurl insults back at them."
"If they hit my son, should I hit them back?"
"Okay, that's the fairest way. I'm sure your son fought back when he was beaten." The implication was that Wei Zhouyu and Zhao Shi could fight back if he beat them. Qiu Hu knew Wei Zhouyu's fighting skills, but he didn't know Zhao Shi's. He looked tall and thin, and he didn't know if Zhao Shi could take a beating.
"That's just sophistry." Knowing she couldn't win against Qiu Hu, the woman said dejectedly, "Son, apologize."
"Mom." His mother, who was usually so good at arguing, actually lost the argument and made him apologize. The woman glared at him again before he obediently apologized, "Zhao Shi, Wei Zhouyu, I'm sorry."
The two teachers couldn't get a word in edgewise; the parents had to handle it themselves.
Wei Zhouyu was happy to receive the apology, especially since it was won for her by her idol, which made her even happier. "That's more like it."
Wei Zhouyu thought Qiu Hu was amazing. His solution was unique and his approach was clever. He just used his words to easily get Qiu Hu to apologize.
Although Qiu Hu is socially awkward, she can argue, and she's quite good at it.
After apologizing, Qiu Hu left ahead of time with Zhao Shi and Wei Zhouyu.
Wei Zhouyu followed behind Qiu Hu and couldn't help but step forward to flatter her, "Miss, you're amazing. You won the argument with that old lady in no time."
Qiu Hu warned her, "Don't fight so casually next time."
"Oh, I see. I only did it because I couldn't hold back anymore."
"Alright, where are you going now? Shall I take you home?"
"I'm hungry." Wei Zhouyu's stomach was already growling.
...Qiu Hu then led them to a nearby restaurant and sat them opposite him. Once the dishes were served, Wei Zhouyu immediately began to wolf down his food without any regard for his image. Qiu Hu couldn't help but laugh, "Take your time, there's no rush."
Zhao Shi, standing next to her, ate with elegance, chewing slowly and deliberately, exuding the air of a noble young master.
“I thought Sister Yi was too busy to come, and that none of our parents were here.” Wei Zhouyu said, then realized that she hadn’t introduced Qiu Hu to her deskmate yet. “Miss, let me introduce you. This is my deskmate, Zhao Shi, who also just transferred here.”
At first, Wei Zhouyu and Zhao Shi didn't get along. Zhao Shi was a warm-hearted man with a cold heart. He had a sunny face but could say incredibly cold things. As expected, true friendship is revealed in times of trouble. They were framed together and developed a deep revolutionary friendship. Now they get along very well. He was also the first friend she made when she came to Qincheng.
Of course Qiu Hu knew, and she knew even more about her, such as her background and medical records. "Hmm, hello, Zhao."
Zhao Shi politely put down his chopsticks and looked at Qiu Hu's face. "Hello, sister."
Qiu Hu felt a little uncomfortable being called "sister," a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time, but he didn't know whether he should respond or not, so he could only brush it off by saying Wei Zhouyu, "Zhouyu, did you hear that? From now on, you should call me sister too, don't call me 'Miss'."
"Really?"
Qiu Hu nodded.
Zhao Shi's voice rang out again, as if he had hesitated for a long time before saying, "My sister's eyes look just like mine."
...Of course they look alike. They were born to the same mother and both inherited those beautiful eyes. How could they not look alike?
"Zhao Shi, what are you doing? You're so outdated. I haven't used this kind of pickup line since I was 10." Could it be that Zhao Shi has fallen for her idol?
"I'm serious." Zhao Shi really thought it looked very similar.
"I guess the world is so big, there are all sorts of strange things. There are many people or things that look alike." Qiu Hu noticed that Zhao Shi's parents hadn't come. The Lin family was really irresponsible. "Where are your parents? Why didn't they come just now?"
“They’re very talkative. It doesn’t matter whether they come or not, so I didn’t notify them.”
After Qiu Hu and the others finished eating, he first sent Zhao Shi back home, and then took Wei Zhouyu home with him.
Back at the villa, it was deserted. Ayi had gone to a competition, and Qiu Lan had gone to a neighboring city for an event. They probably wouldn't be back for another two days. It seemed like everyone was away on business.
She returned to her room, lay back down on the bed, and recalled the scene of meeting Zhao Shi today. She had only seen his face briefly, but he did resemble her in some ways. After thinking it over, she told herself that since she had met him today and didn't particularly like him, it was fine to let him live a simple life.
She turned over again, decided not to think about it anymore, and went back to sleep.
The next time she saw him was three days later, on Wei Zhouyu's birthday. Ayi Qiu Lan also came back and asked her how she planned to celebrate her birthday. She only said that she would have it at home and invited Zhao Shi, a friend she had made in Qincheng, to her home. Qiu Hu also invited Xiang Gexuan.
Wei Zhouyu was too young at the time to remember her parents' faces or names, but she did remember her own name and birthday.
Wei Zhouyu, as the birthday celebrant, hosted his own birthday party, saying, "Today is my birthday, everyone must drink until we drop."
Qiu Hu strictly controls the situation, saying, "You're a minor, you're not allowed to drink, wait until next year!"
"...Fine, I'll keep you company anyway."
"Sister, don't you drink?" Zhao Shi asked in confusion, as Qiu Hu didn't seem like someone who didn't drink.
Before Qiu Hu could answer, A Yi interrupted, "Hahaha, she's allergic to alcohol."
"That's a pity." Zhao Shi silently remembered that Qiu Hu was allergic to alcohol, though he didn't know why he remembered it.
“It’s no pity, drinking juice is the same.” Qiu Hu was already used to this kind of occasion; while others drank alcohol, she drank beverages.
She raised her glass of juice. "Alright, let's wish our youngest son, Zhouyu, a happy birthday! Cheers!"
"cheers!"
Happy times are always fleeting. After dinner, the moon was already high in the sky, indicating that the night was deep.
Xiang Gexuan had already gone back. Qiu Hu asked A Qian to take Zhao Shi back. The two had just stepped out of the door when they ran into Ning Yizhan, who had just gotten out of the car.
Ning Yizhan stopped and looked at Zhao Shi, who had come out of Qiu Hu's house. He didn't recognize him. "Who are you?"
"And who are you?" Zhao Shi asked in return.
Ning Yizhan ignored him because he saw A Qian standing behind Zhao Shi and frowned. Every time A Qian appeared, it was never a good thing. "Why did you come to Qincheng?"
"I'll come when I've finished my business."
Ning Yizhan didn't care what it was about; he only cared about Qiu Hu. "Is Qiu Hu inside?" He hadn't seen her for days and missed her.
"Yes." A-Qian didn't stop him and let him go straight in to find Qiu Hu.
Qiu Hu was sitting on the sofa digesting her food, watching TV and getting quite engrossed in it. She didn't notice that someone had come in behind her until a man's magnetic voice came from behind, "Ah Hu, I'm back."
