Chapter 68 Coaxing Me

Qiu Hu: "..." Not that bad.

Proud as he was, how could he possibly tolerate being used as a tool for venting his anger? But he couldn't vent his anger on the woman beside him, so he could only get out of bed with a sullen face, get dressed, and prepare to leave the room. Before leaving, he didn't forget to say to the woman with his back to her, "Well, you're done venting now, so pack up and leave. Don't come to me for this kind of thing again." Finally, he lowered his eyes in disappointment and added angrily, "Don't come to me for anything in the future."

Seeing that he seemed genuinely angry, Qiu Hu didn't hesitate to throw off the covers, run behind the man, hug him, and bury her face in his back. "I admit, I am a little angry. So think about why I only thought of you?"

"Shouldn't I feel honored to be thought of by the young lady?"

"That's not what I meant. Oh, don't be angry." Qiu Hu realized he had said the wrong thing, and his tone softened.

"Anyway, I've said my piece, Miss, please leave." He pulled away Qiu Hu's arms that were holding him and left the room, leaving Qiu Hu alone, bewildered and at a loss.

How do you coax a man?

Ning Yizhan was genuinely angry. He walked out of the room, sat on the living room sofa with his arms crossed, looking sinister. He kicked the coffee table in front of him, dislodging it. He had no idea what the woman inside was planning to do.

The woman inside thought she should let him calm down first. She got dressed and went out. Looking at the still angry man, she was convinced that her decision to let him calm down was the right one. "Then I'll go first. You calm down first."

Ning Yizhan was surprised by this outcome; they didn't even try to comfort him? He was frustrated.

His face grew even more sinister, and he said in a furious tone, "...Go, hurry up and go."

Qiu Hu turned around, glancing back at the still angry man behind her every few steps, but he didn't even look at her. Sure enough, he was still angry. Sigh!

"Bang!" The door slammed shut.

"Bang!" The coffee table in the living room tilted a little more.

He couldn't take it anymore, stood up and chased after her. Luckily, she was still waiting for the elevator. He pulled her inside, saying, "Aren't you going to even try to comfort me? Am I that unimportant to you?"

"I could tell you were angry, so I was thinking of letting you calm down on your own." Qiu Hu didn't dare look him in the eye, because she felt as if there were flames burning inside.

Ning Yizhan looked at her, who dared not look him in the eye. He never expected that Qiu Hu would have such a day, but he had no intention of letting her off so easily.

His voice turned colder. "Ha, aren't you afraid that the calmer I get, the colder I'll feel? This matter is different from others; it's very important to me." He seemed to start to feel aggrieved as he finished speaking.

"..." Qiu Hu's lips twitched slightly. He felt like the two of them had the wrong script. He explained again, "I didn't use you as a tool to vent my anger. I'm serious."

But the man immediately rejected her claim, saying, "I don't believe it."

Qiu Hu was surprised that she still didn't believe her, and her voice rose a few decibels, "I'm serious, I'm really serious!"

Ning Yizhan sensed the change in her tone, his joy hidden on his face, but he secretly thought, "Maybe."

Qiu Hu thought he would believe her this time, but he didn't. She looked up into his eyes, her tone a little aggrieved, "What 'maybe'? Why don't you believe me?" As soon as she finished speaking, tears inexplicably fell. She didn't want to cry, but she just couldn't help it.

Her actions startled Ning Yizhan; it seemed she had gone too far.
