Chapter 24 Gorton (Seeking monthly votes and continued reading)

"Since black oil is edible."

"Then, as expected, the energy minerals that are of higher quality than black oil will provide me with even more energy."

"The problem is that these are all strategic resources. A small amount of black oil is fine; if you're lucky, you can find the deposits yourself, and alchemists can refine them. But large black oil deposits and other energy mineral deposits are firmly controlled by major powers."

Galos seemed to be deep in thought.

Leaving aside other matters for now.

The human empire of Holden and the elven empire of Nausir are currently engaged in a fierce competition and constant friction over the division of a massive black oil reservoir.

If it weren't for their sheer size, the consequences of a war would be unpredictable, and they could very well perish together.

The competition is no longer a covert affair.

"There are also oil fields in the Serbian wilderness, but the military is stationed there to extract them."

"Let's talk about it later. Right now, I definitely can't provoke them, or I'll be courting death. Besides, I don't need much energy for my evolution right now; hunting monsters and ferocious beasts can provide it."

Galos thought to himself.

He looked down at the black grease on his paws.

He stretched out his nimble tongue and carefully licked it, then picked up the alchemy engine and poured the remaining black oil inside directly into his mouth.

The intense, spicy sensation rushes straight to the top of your head.

After drinking down the last bit of black oil left in the alchemy engine in one gulp.

Galos felt as if a raging fire was burning inside his stomach, and his mind became extremely excited.

call!

With a flap of his dragon wings, he soared into the sky, accompanied by a howling gale, and flew at high speed in the air. He opened his mouth and continuously spewed out streams of fiery dragon breath, and the dark red patterns on his scales became like lava, flowing and shining.

The flames continued to spread and surge.

The clouds in the sky were dyed a crimson red, as if they had been set on fire.

Half an hour later, Galos folded his wings and landed on a rock slab. The burning sensation in his abdomen had subsided, but he was still somewhat unsatisfied.

Because in this short half hour.

Galos could clearly feel that the effects of his training were more than a week's worth under normal conditions, especially in terms of the intensity and duration of the dragon's breath.

And he doesn't feel very tired yet.

"This is really good stuff."

He picked up the alchemy engine and tilted it down again.

In the end, only a single drop of black oil remained, which was poured into Garus's claws.

He originally intended to eat it directly.

But then, Galos looked at Samantha.

"The tradition says this isn't food, but it tastes really good to me. Could the tradition be wrong?"

The Dragon Legacy is not necessarily absolutely correct; the information within may be outdated and may contain omissions or errors.

"Give Samantha a taste."

Galos woke Samantha and, under her suspicious gaze, said, "The black oil contains a lot of energy. I just ate a lot. You should try some too."

"Really? My family's traditions never mentioned that this thing is edible."

Samantha was skeptical.

It stretched out its warm tongue and licked the drop of black oil from the palm of Garus.

Then.

Pooh!

Ptooey! Ptooey!

Before she could even swallow, Samantha's eyelids twitched, and she spat out the black oil onto the ground several times.

"This stuff is edible? It's completely inedible!"

It licked its tongue, not wanting to get a single drop of black oil on it.

"It seems the problem isn't with the inheritance, but with me."

Galus was speechless.

"Here's the engine for you; it will help you learn alchemy."

He tossed the alchemy engine to Samantha.

There are different qualities of black oil; the black oil that Galos just ate was the lowest grade.

Alchemy can further refine and purify ordinary black oil, and it can also refine the bodies of monsters into ordinary black oil. These are very basic parts of alchemy.

Once Samantha has it under her control, she'll be able to repay me.

Galos does not keep idle dragons.

Moreover, this won't take too long, since dragons have excellent learning abilities and learning the basics of alchemy is not difficult.

Samantha took the alchemy engine, examined it curiously for a few moments, then curled it up with her tail, closed her eyes slightly, and continued to explore, learn, and inherit knowledge.

He glanced at Samantha, who was engrossed in passing on knowledge.

Galos suddenly wondered what was happening to his other brother, Gorton, the Iron Dragon.

Gordon is less arrogant and conceited than Samantha, but he is not as bright as Samantha and has always been somewhat dim-witted. It would probably be difficult for him to survive on his own.

He shook his head, not giving it much thought.

He has already given him a chance; how he chooses to proceed is up to him.

If Gordon were to come and join him like Samantha, willing to obey orders and stop causing trouble, Garros could accept his following and allow him to learn a type of magic that would assist him and benefit him, just like Samantha.

But what Galus didn't know was...

Gorton won't be coming here.

If you look down from a great height, you can see a main road that winds its way through almost the entire Serbian wilderness. Its branch roads are like a dense spider web, or forked branches, extending in many different directions, like a wild landscape.

This vein pattern is called the Thousand Snakes' Mark.

Essentially, it is a collective term for the many roads that were responsible for the transportation of caravans and minerals in the Ser Wilderness.

The main road of the Thousand Serpents' Mark leads directly to the territory of the Southern Lorthen Federation. The road is very wide and paved with a layer of asphalt-like material. It stretches endlessly under the sun.

With a series of slight tremors in the ground.

The wheels, made of metal with a rubber-coated surface, roll over the road.

Ten enormous, truck-like creations, each nearly fifteen meters long and crafted using alchemy, roared past on it.

One of the trucks contained an open-air steel cage.

Each steel pillar is as thick as an adult's arm and is covered with dense alchemical runes.

Inside the cage was the Iron Dragon Gorton.

It opened its mouth and bit at the cage.

Sparks flew amidst the sickening clang of metal clashing.

Gordon's teeth ached, but he could only bite out shallow marks, unable to break through the cage at all.

After leaving the Iron Dragon Maiden's territory, it wanted to start by robbing caravans and head south to make its fortune.

As soon as he showed his face, he was arrested and captured by the strong caravan guards. After going around in circles, he was eventually bought by the current large caravan.

"Stop biting. Even if all your teeth are broken, you still can't bite it open. This cage has been enhanced by alchemy, and even a young dragon can be trapped in it."

"It is a human warrior standing outside the cage, wearing heavy armor," he said.

"Damn humans, what do you want to do to the great dragon!"

Gorton roared, baring his teeth.

The soldier clicked his tongue and said, "Don't overreact. We won't skin you alive, nor will we remove your bones and scales. On the contrary, we'll dress you up beautifully and let you enjoy a wonderful life."

"What?"

Gordon didn't believe it and looked on warily.

"The beloved little princess of the Kingdom of Lorthen wanted a dragon playmate as a birthday present. The kingdom has issued an official bounty, and you, lucky little iron dragon, are the gift we will present to the little princess."

Upon hearing this, Gordon's eyes widened.

It never imagined that it would travel to the south it longed for in this way.
