After helping Loran Hill sort out his thoughts, Westena was not in a hurry to urge him, because such a thing could not be decided in a day or two.
"Would you like to take a walk around the Emerald Garden? I'm afraid it's difficult to get a feel for the actual living conditions of the elves just from what I've told you."
"It just so happens that I'm going to attend an academic exchange at the Pelican Crown in two days. Would you like to go with me then?"
"Okay." Loran Hill also came out of his thoughts and answered.
"Okay, then let's make some simple preparations first." Westena said with a wink.
Two days later.
A small boat carrying two people was rowing across the clear blue lake.
"See that city on the lake in the distance? That's the 'Pelican Crown'." Westena pointed into the distance.
This is a huge lake located in the Emerald Garden, stretching for dozens of miles, and the "Pelican Crown" is located on the shallows in the center of the lake.
The houses here are all built on the water. They are of different sizes and look like jellyfish, with different round shapes. Slender long bridges connect these buildings to facilitate the elves' travel. There are many small boats passing through the city, transporting various things. Some are merchants selling goods, and some are elves who come to travel and play.
"Around the edge of the city, in the lakes and water plants to the north, there are large numbers of pelicans. Whenever they take off, their snow-white wings merge into one in the sunlight, creating a magnificent sight. This is the origin of the name of this crown."
After introducing the 'Pelican Crown', the boat slowly sailed into the city's waterway.
Sitting in the boat, Loran Hill lightly blocked the sunlight above his head with his hands and looked at the houses on both sides of the waterway.
Some elf women would do some handicrafts in front of their homes, such as weaving clothes, repairing things, drying some food, and fiddling with flowers and plants. Some would practice and play music, paint, read books, etc. It can be seen that the elves' lives are very rich and full of the breath of life.
"The leader of the Pelican Crown is Asara, a male elf who is currently middle-aged, probably around 180 years old."
Westena recalled this old acquaintance and slowly recounted his life story.
"Azara was born and raised on the edge of the forest. Although she attended school in the Emerald Forest, she spent some time in human society after graduation before returning to the forest."
"Because of his improvements and measures, the Pelican Crown developed rapidly. He was later recognized by many elves within the crown and became the leader of this faction."
"Compared to other elves, he has a broader perspective and is more supportive of communication between elves and the outside world. Therefore, this academic exchange is more about connecting with each other and strengthening relationships."
"Everything starts with the difficult and ends with the easy. Because of Asara, this place isn't too exclusive to outsiders, so you can see some humans and even a few orcs."
"I see." Loranhill replied, his eyes also sweeping over a human who was negotiating business with an elf. He seemed to be from the East and had an accent there. There were boxes on the boat nearby, and the smell of spices came from them.
Pelicans flew down from the sky from time to time. These water birds pecked at the surface of the lake. The silver fish held in their beaks reflected a bright light, twisted continuously, splashed water, and was finally swallowed by the pelicans.
After arriving at the 'Pelican Crown', the two first found a place to stay and settled down, and then Westena took Loran Hill to visit Asara.
The two walked on a slender bridge like a new sprout, passing through local houses. Some of the architectural styles were significantly different from those of elves in other regions.
For example, the theater that Loran Hill just walked past was light blue and glazed green in color, like a round jellyfish floating on the water, with a circle of curved columns on the outside and an empty water stage in the middle. It is said that during the performance, the elf dancers would dance on the water, and the splashes of water and the lights reflected each other, as if you were in a romantic fantasy under the sea.
After passing through the bustling streets of the town, the two finally stopped in front of a wide lake.
There is an arc-shaped palace here like a petal, surrounded by a circle of light blue floating fences that separate the inner and outer lakes from each other. Inside, there are several curved arcs that circle the wide lake surface, outlining the shape of a petal.
After Westena revealed her identity, two elf servants blew their flutes, and white water lilies of various sizes bloomed on the water, connecting the road to the palace.
"Okay, let's go over there."
Westena brought Loranthil across the water and then arrived at the central palace. At this time, many guests had arrived inside. Most of them were scholars from the elves, and some were powerful extraordinary people.
"Lady Vestina~"
After the two entered the translucent dome building, two young elf girls soon came over.
"It's you sisters, how are you doing recently?"
Looking at the two of them, Westena responded with a smile. Only then did Loranhill realize that the two of them had also studied with Westena in the past.
"We just arrived not long ago. The exchange meeting held by Lord Asara invited many people, and we saw many powerful people." As they spoke, the two elf sisters seemed to be eager to try.
"Haha, then you guys have to work hard too. I remember you guys have been in Sequence 6 for a few years now, so you should be breaking through soon."
"Well, thank you for the compliment, teacher, hehe." Then the two of them said a few more words to Westena before waving goodbye.
"Westena has quite a lot of students." After seeing them leave, Loran Hill asked curiously.
