Chapter 14 Dragon Blood Bat

Pullman used his sword to clear away the thorns and some bushes and walked through the forest. He was not Loran Hill, who could walk through the forest as if it were flat ground.

You have to carve out a path yourself, sometimes climbing over rocks, using your hands and feet.

Since becoming a Transcendent Sequence 2, his physical strength has become very abundant and his power has become much greater, so he doesn't feel tired when walking in the mountains.

After half a day's journey, he arrived at the place the girl had pointed out.

The inclined rocks were covered with moss, and under the rocks was a cave with groundwater flowing out of it. The dragon-blood bat was probably inside.

Pullman first cleared the surrounding rocks to prevent them from accidentally stepping on them and tripping during the battle. Then he pulled down some branches and fixed them to form several small enclosed spaces. This would provide obstacles for the bats to dodge, and at the very least, serve as a rear guard to prevent them from attacking from behind.

Finally, he collected some dead branches and leaves, placed them at the entrance of the cave, lit them, and sent the thick smoke into the cave, ready to drive the bats out.

Green smoke rose up. Pullman stood at the side of the cave with a sword in both hands, concentrating and listening carefully, ready to give the bat a hard blow as soon as it came out.

After a long while, just when Pullman was a little relaxed, gusts of wind came from the cave and the thick smoke was blown out.

Oh boy, here it comes.

Pullman's fingers began to tighten around the hilt.

Then a black figure flew out of the cave rapidly. Before Pullman could see the appearance of the monster, he waved his hands and the sword light slashed from left to right.

The black shadow screamed strangely, and the sharp and piercing sound made Pullman dizzy. He saw the black shadow flying rapidly into the sky.

hateful!

Because the black shadow was flying very fast, Pullman only made a shallow cut on its back and did not seriously injure it.

Loran Hill was perched on a large tree in the distance, sensing the development of everything, as if he were watching a real-life movie.

The information about the bat also appeared in his eyes.

Race: Bat-transformed

Status: Injured (minor)

Sequence: Demon Sequence 3: Dragon Blood Bat (Overall Rating: Incomplete Bronze)

talent:

[Blood Wings] (Excellent): Extremely fast flying ability, but has a flaw: prolonged high-intensity flying will cause blood vessels in the wings to burst.

[Ultrasonic Sensing] (Normal): You can use sound waves to sense the environment, regardless of darkness or fog.

ability:

[Venomous Fangs] (Excellent): Both teeth are pitch black and have a corrupting poison on them. They have a strong paralyzing effect in the middle and back. They also have various viruses, making them easy to get infected and difficult to treat.

[Bloodsucking] (Excellent): You can recover your physical strength and heal yourself by sucking the blood of other creatures.

[Wind-Splitting Flight] (Excellent): The ability to split air currents, dramatically reducing air resistance and greatly increasing flight speed. (Blood Wings -1, originally a rare ability, but due to a talent flaw, it can only reach the Excellent level)

Skill: [Air Slash] (Normal): Tear the air to form a sharp blade.

Loran Hill recalled Trinasa's records that the Dragon Blood Bat was a failed product of the True Red Empire around 6300 of the First Era.

This species was originally developed to mimic the flight capabilities of the Dragon Sequence 6, the Wind-Splitting Dragon, and was intended to serve as scouts and information transmitters for the Empire during the protracted war. Because the Empire's opponent, the Orcish Wind Empire, had many winged people, the Empire was at a significant disadvantage in reconnaissance.

Unfortunately, it failed in the end. The wings of the dragon-blood bat were not strong enough to withstand the display of the wind-breaking flying ability, and the empire later gave up further development in this direction.

So as long as Pullman can hold on and fight a protracted battle with the bat, the bat's speed will eventually slow down.

However, the boy was not so patient to wait. What he was thinking at this moment was, the teacher must be watching from a distance, I must show my best and strongest side and solve the enemy cleanly and neatly.

He roared, attracting the bat's attention and leading it to the place he had set up before.

The black bat screamed sharply in the air, then dived down, its flying trajectory like a huge arc, and rushed in front of Pullman in the blink of an eye, and in the meantime, there was almost no sound.

The speed was so fast that people could not react. Pullman had not yet reached the designated location, so he could only respond hastily, with the tip of the sword slashing upwards from bottom to top.

The sharp claws drew a streak of fire on the black sword, and Pullman narrowly blocked the fangs and did not let them bite him.

However, the foul smell that came towards him filled his face and made him feel dizzy.

Oh no, this smell is poisonous.

Pullman thought to himself that something was wrong, so he left the place, leaned against a big tree, and began to look for the bat.

The bat circled in the sky for a while before swooping down again, drawing a rapid arc in the air, and several wind blades shot out as its wings flapped.

This disrupted Pullman's rhythm. He had average combat experience and could not perceive and move as accurately as Loran Hill. He could only block a few key wind blades and was injured.

"So weak."

Loran Hill sat on a distant branch, supporting his head with his hands, watching the silly student fighting clumsily.

Was it because I taught too poorly? She began to doubt herself.

In fact, although Pullman cannot be said to be a genius, his progress is really fast. He has never systematically studied the knowledge system and was once a malnourished poor boy.

In just three months, he had learned a lot every day and even found time to practice swordsmanship. This was already a very rapid improvement. In today's West Wind Kingdom, at this age, he would be a rare little genius.
