As the cold current from the north hit, the temperature began to drop sharply. Fortunately, because Emenas is located in a mountain valley, the cold wind is not severe.
"The windows are frozen."
After dawn, when the girls were about to open the windows, they found that there was a layer of ice on the windows and the glass windows could not be opened.
"Let me do it." Letty carried her own alchemical copper box, pointed the hole towards the window, placed it on the table, and continuously blew out hot air.
After the girls finished washing, water slowly flowed down the windowsill, and then the glass window became loose.
"It does seem to be very useful." This time, Alena admitted it quickly. Although Lettice didn't say anything, a hint of pride appeared on her face.
"But why is it called a 'circulating radiator'?" Nia looked at the copper alchemical creation with a little curiosity.
"Perhaps it was originally used to dissipate heat from the magic furnace." Alena tapped the copper box lightly with her fingers and said speculatively.
"I didn't expect that Alena would guess right sometimes." Lettice also admitted it readily.
"Letis is so arrogant. After all, I am also a student of the magic sequence, and I know something about alchemy." Alena shook her head and raised her index finger to show that she knew a lot.
At this time, Loran Hill walked out of the bathroom, picked up a towel and wiped his hot hair.
"Everyone, let's go first. I'm going to the library today."
"Isn't Roland attending class?"
"Yes, I've already told the teacher." Loran Hill nodded. Because her grades had always been good, and with the instructions from the dean of Si Ye Academy, her applications for leave and class changes were always easily approved.
"That's great." Aliena made an envious sound.
---------------------
After several roommates left, Loran Hill opened the door of her closet and gently pushed aside a few white dresses hanging there. A floor-length mirror attached to the inside of the closet appeared in front of her.
I put my hand on the mirror, and the mirror surface rippled like water, revealing another scene. It was a cozy stone brick cottage with a light-colored bed and curtains. Bookshelves and a dressing table could be seen near the wall.
As if light and shadow were flowing, the girl's figure suddenly disappeared from the room and appeared directly on the other side of the mirror. Then Loran Hill put down his palm that was pressing on the mirror, and his hair returned to its natural silver color.
I haven't even properly greeted my classmates in Class 1 this semester, the girl thought to herself. She then changed into a black dress from Roxelle's closet and picked up the recently borrowed books on the table—all of which were about Chaos and the Calamity. After a moment's hesitation, she placed the bear on the chair into her bag before opening the door and heading to her study area for the day.
First, she showed her the certificate given by Si Ye, reported the holiday tasks, and the combat class teacher ticked the form, and then let Luo Xier rest for a while.
The sky was a bit gloomy, a white light peeking through the clouds. Some students were practicing combat techniques in the battle courtyard. The combat course had shifted from initially teaching swordsmanship and physical training to focusing on practical combat. For example, they learned how to deal with cavalry charges, how to dodge and block crossbows, how to fight large monsters, and how to provide first aid to themselves and their teammates.
The course is generally divided into three parts: the first part is taught by the teacher, the second part is students practicing, and the third part is corrected and adjusted by the teacher.
Thick snow piled up in the courtyard, making a squeaking sound as the students stepped on it, and then they crushed the snow, leaving deep footprints. Walking through the snow piles that were calf-deep was not convenient, but the teacher still had the students practice in the snow to adapt to various environments, because you couldn't guarantee that you wouldn't fight in the snowy north.
Waving swords and dancing guns, snowflakes flew, and the students' figures leaped in the snow, breathing out bursts of white steam.
Frosia stood in front of Roxelle, holding an exquisite white wooden sword in her hand. She stepped on the snowflakes with her toes and rushed over with a light and agile figure. Her golden hair and white winter dress made her look elegant and beautiful.
Luo Xier responded calmly in a black dress. Her light yellow wooden sword was covered with a layer of pure white magic, making it tougher and continuously blocking Frosia's attacks.
Frosia watched Roxelle so calmly, and gradually improved her own speed and the angles of her swordplay. As the daughter of the Landsworth family, her abilities were among the best of her peers. Whether it was her looks, manners, knowledge, conversation, swordsmanship, horsemanship, or extraordinary strength, there was practically nothing she wasn't adept at. This was the result of her upbringing as a top-tier aristocrat in the empire.
White shoes left a shallow scratch on the snowflakes. Like a nimble bird, they fluttered and leaped, their white wooden swords flashing a chilling green light, leaving traces of scratches in the air. Frosia's swordsmanship was as gorgeous and swift as a dance. Only occasionally, when a few flashes of green light, spurred by Roxelle, struck the edge of the field, shattering some of the solid rock wall, did the students nearby realize the danger and, forming a barrier to keep each other away, continued to watch the two girls, one in black and one in white, dance with their swords in the snow.
Luo Xier spun rapidly in the snow, her silver hair fluttering like a black butterfly, constantly changing direction to dodge the attack of her friend.
"That really surprises me, Roxelle."
Frosia's figure slowly descended from the sky, seemingly with transparent wings trailing behind her, picking up tiny specks of snow from the ground. Her azure eyes showed a hint of surprise. Luo Xier usually gave people a delicate appearance, and coupled with her frequent absences, most of her classmates believed she was in poor health.
But now it seems that she may not be strong, but her body is frighteningly flexible and agile.
