East Territory, Red Camellia Collar.
A towering castle nestled against a hill, and beneath it lay a vast, open city. Its orange-red roofs and pale white walls, the streets were neat and tidy, and trees in full bloom were visible. This prosperous land belonged to the Count of Metila, a family with a long and rich heritage.
Inside the tall church in the city, everything was quiet. Light shone obliquely into the interior from the horizontal windows on both sides, and a little dust could be vaguely seen.
On the central wall inside the hall, there is a relief sculpture of a huge Seraphim, with three pairs of wings stretching out behind it, as if burning, and the flame patterns on it well express this point.
This magnificent statue of the Seraph has its eyes slightly closed, holding a sword in one hand and a basket in the other. The sword is like a snake and flames, and the basket is filled with various flowers. The petals fall from the air along with the flames on the wings, which is beautiful and amazing.
Now in this quiet church, a woman in black nun's clothes kneels on the altar in front of the angel statue, praying silently.
The light outside the window slowly turns, and time slowly passes.
After a long time, the closed door of the church was slowly pushed open, and a vertical beam of light shone into the hall, as if opening up a world that had been closed for a long time.
"Master Maggie, it's time to set off."
A mature and older maid stood by the door, bowed, and then stood quietly to one side waiting.
"Got it." A response came from under the angel statue inside the church.
The woman in black nun's uniform slowly stood up, silently recited something again, then turned around and walked towards the bright door.
After stepping out of the quiet church, the square outside was a sea of flags. Fully armed knights stood on both sides of the avenue, and in the distance of the street, you could see ready infantry phalanxes.
The emblems on these soldiers are of different colors, representing the well-known noble families in the East. Now, the representatives of these families are also ready and waiting on horseback.
Maggie walked to the center of the square outside the church, where there were several nobles wearing gorgeous armor. They were the representatives and leaders of this coalition army.
"I'm here, father." Maggie bowed to the man in the middle.
"That's good to see you're here." After saying that, he turned around and swung the whip, the tip of which made a startling sound in the air.
"Set off!"
"Hah!" The knights raised their lances high, and the golden and red camellia swallowtail flags on them fluttered in the wind. Then, as the knights rose and fell on their horses, they swayed forward, like a fiery red ocean.
As the eastern part of the empire with long-term peace and stability, it is extremely rich, and their soldiers and knights are equipped with the best equipment among all the territories. The bright armor and flags, and the neatly arranged weapons all reflect the strength of this army.
During the years when the Eastern and Western Empires were fighting each other, even when the Western Empire joined forces with the Western and Northern Territories, it often could not gain any advantage over the Eastern Empire. This was the reason.
In the sky, several giant eagles soared as the army advanced, with human figures riding on their backs.
The broad wings brushed through the air currents in the sky, and the feathers and clothes fluttered. The two young men sitting on the giant eagle overlooked the vast army below and the weapons shining like the sea. A burning emotion slowly surged in their hearts.
"We have begun, marching towards the Landsworthy house."
The sight shifted from the giant eagle high in the sky to the end of the team below. A huge carriage was slowly moving forward on the road. It was pulled by more than ten tall and heavy horses. The carriage was covered with cloth, with only the bottom part exposed, where several thick steel railings could be seen.
Behind this giant carriage is an ordinary carriage following it, which looks particularly small in contrast to it.
"Is Sister Maggie out too?" Inside the carriage, a petite girl leaned on a big pillow, yawning, as if she had not woken up yet.
"Yes, it's because of my father and family." On the other side, a young man in black was pressing the broad sword on his knees, his fingers dancing lightly as if playing the piano.
"Although the reason is a bit boring, I don't hate it." The petite girl rubbed her head and expressed her opinion.
"It's a good opportunity to test the results of my training over the past few years."
"Can you control it? Don't let it get out of hand and make people laugh at you."
"Hey, hey, don't curse me casually. We are relatives after all." The petite girl seemed to be a little sober at this time. She sat up from the pillow and placed her hands on her knees in front of her.
"Relatives? To be honest, the Landsworth family is also related to us. My grandfather married a lady from the Landsworth family."
"Well, that's true, but now we have a war, and we can't take care of distant relatives. Blood ties are not omnipotent, ha~" As she said this, the girl yawned again.
"I was busy until very late yesterday. I have to sleep for a while. Call me if you need anything." After saying that, the girl lay down on the big pillow on the side and fell asleep.
Watching her peacefully enter her dream, the young man opposite shook his head helplessly.
"I'm so envious. I can sleep well at this time."
He put down the giant sword in his hand and looked at the scenery outside the car window. In the distance were teams of walking soldiers. They formed a long line, winding along the road, silent and quiet.
"Perhaps, only someone like me, who lives a life of luxury, would worry about the outcome of the war."
"I wonder how many people can survive." After saying that, he pulled the curtains again, letting the carriage return to silence.
————
Three days later, the wilderness was filled with green wind.
Teams of soldiers, holding shields and spears high, marched slowly through the knee-deep sea of grass, while opposite them stood the cuirassiers holding high the unicorn banner.
