"I can't remember." Katie behind him shook her head.
"Then why was Keti originally called Keti? Did Chris tell you?"
Loran Hill recalled the distant memories of the experimentation of the "Original Heart" faction. The four primordial pillars, including the flame-representing Kloyati, sounded very similar to Keti, perhaps an abbreviation of the two. This made her wonder if Keti's origins were the same as hers.
"Chris didn't say that. She just said that since it's a new beginning, we shouldn't continue to carry the burden of the past." As Katie said this, her back gave Loran Hill a slightly warm feeling.
"I see..."
Loran Hill looked up at the stars faintly appearing in the sky, then closed his eyes slightly, feeling the gentle sea breeze blowing across his skin.
"The past can no longer be retrieved, only everything in the present is so real and precious." She sighed softly and comforted herself.
A few minutes later, Loran Hill opened his eyes again, looked at the beach and sea not far away, and jumped lightly from the stone.
"Kati, let's go catch crabs." she said suddenly.
"Crab, what is that? Is it delicious?" Katie turned around and looked at Loran Hill curiously, with sudden anticipation in her eyes.
“I don’t know if it’s delicious, but it’s definitely fun.”
Loran Hill took Katie's hand and walked to the edge of the beach, watching the tide rise and fall below.
"Let's take off our shoes first to avoid getting them wet."
Loran Hill turned and said this to Katie, and then they both took off their shoes, revealing their smooth feet.
After putting her shoes into the ring, Loran Hill lifted her skirt and walked hand in hand with Katie on the fine sand. Occasionally, the sea water flooded their ankles, bringing a cool feeling.
"Where are the crabs, Loran?" Katie asked the silver-haired girl in front of her curiously. The two of them left shallow footprints on the beach.
"Right here."
Holding up her skirt, Loran Hill walked forward a few steps, then stopped and slowly squatted down.
"Kati, light a lamp."
"OK."
Three chubby fireballs the size of oranges slowly rotated around the two people, emitting a dim light.
After living with Loran Hill for a long time, Katie gradually understood how big the flame was that Loran usually meant when he said to light a lamp. He would not create a flame that seemed small but could burn up the lake like he did at the beginning.
Loran Hill squatted on the beach, gathered her skirt at her waist, then freed her hands and slowly pulled away the sand underneath. Katie also slowly walked over and placed a chubby little fireball between the two of them, illuminating the gradually darkening beach.
As the sand separated, a green crab appeared. It was about the size of a palm, with a very white abdomen and light blue edges.
As if awakened by the sudden fire, the crab held up its two claws and slowly crawled, and some of the moist sand remaining on its body slid off.
“This is a crab.”
Loran Hill stretched out his finger, carefully touched the crab, watched, and then withdrew his hand when it tried to clamp itself.
Looking at the crab walking sideways in the shallows, ready to escape, Loran Hill suddenly remembered something interesting.
"Kati, you know, many people subconsciously think that crabs are all red. Crabs in various paintings and introductions are also mostly red."
"But in fact, only cooked crabs are red; live ones are bluish-black."
Unfortunately, Katie didn't care about such little knowledge at the moment. She also began to imitate Roland and touch the ferocious guy, and then stretched out her hand to stop the guy who was trying to escape.
"pain."
The crab's claws clamped onto Katie's finger. She tried to shake it off, but the crab refused to let go of its claws.
"Hehehe~"
Looking at the splashing water and Katie's flustered look, Loran Hill couldn't help laughing. Then he helped Katie hold down the crab and put it back into the water. Only then did the crab loosen its claws.
Fortunately, the crab was not big. As a witch, Ketti had good physical fitness, so her skin was not broken. She was just a little scared for a moment.
After all, in the eyes of others who have never come into contact with it, crabs are so small and should not have much strength, so how could they clamp so tightly?
"Okay, it's okay."
Loran Hill touched Katie's fingers, examined them carefully, and then used his healing ability. After a while, he put them down, touched Katie's warm hair, and comforted her softly.
"Let's try grilled crab tonight."
"Yeah." Katie quickly forgot the pain and started looking forward to Roland grilling crabs for her.
I wonder if it will taste better than mushroom soup, she thought as she followed Loran Hill.
Facing the sunset and the comfortable sea breeze, the two walked slowly on the beach.
