Anno 4256, Earth.
Nearly fifty years have passed since the catastrophe that devastated the Aegeka Sea. Thirty years have passed since the remaining humans relocated Earth to the Ivar system.
During the escape, the fighting almost never stopped. Even after reaching the Ivar galaxy, chaos phantoms still frequently invaded.
For this reason, the outer area of the Ivar galaxy is guarded by giant dragons roaming the sea of stars all year round. They destroy the chaotic phantoms from outer space, and the leader of these dragons is the original Sequence 10, the Dragon of Destruction, Bahamut.
Another dragon shared the same name: Zhu, the Original Sequence 10 Creation Dragon. Unfortunately, this Creation Dragon died during the Earth transfer due to exhaustion.
For this reason, the remaining humans buried the dragon on Earth, and its remains gradually merged into the mountains and land, giving the mana or magic there a unique spirituality.
"Perhaps we were too obsessed with the efficiency of machinery and electronics, and forgot and ignored many other things." A young man with golden hair stood on the hillside, overlooking the scenery below.
In the emerald green mountains, several families are living leisurely. Looking at their animal skin clothes and stone tools, they still seem very primitive, just like primitive humans who have just learned to settle down.
"I didn't expect there are still uncivilized people." A girl with long silver hair lay on a wooden stake, overlooking the 'people' in the distance.
"Have you found out their origins, brother?" The beautiful girl turned around, and her long silver hair fell from her waist.
The girl's appearance was very special. Her long silver hair reached all the way to her lower back, like soft silk. Her eyes were also silver-gray in color, which was exceptionally bright and beautiful, giving off a strange feeling.
"These people should be the branches of our ancestors, or they are the orthodox ones." The blond boy shook his head and then slowly explained the reason.
"When the two worlds first came into contact, great changes occurred on Earth, leading to civil war among humans and battles with alien beasts. You should know this, Raiguil."
"Of course, I am the moon, and there is almost no history that I don't know." The girl stood on tiptoe, lightly jumped over the uneven ground, and then pounced on the blond boy.
Looking at the silver hair floating in the air, the blond boy had no choice but to open his arms, catch the coquettish girl, hug her, and then put her on the ground.
"Okay, let me continue." He took the girl's hand, and the two turned and walked back, talking as they walked.
"At that time, a group of people entered hibernation devices and slept on the Antarctic continent. After more than a thousand years, they gradually awakened and began to colonize the world again. Later, they established floating cities in the sky, eventually splitting into several factions until our predecessors, the Mechanical Council, unified the world."
"Yeah, I know that." Raiguier seemed unable to calm down. He ran and jumped all the way, sometimes looking at the wild flowers on the roadside, sometimes chasing butterflies in the grass, and responding to the words of the blond boy from time to time.
"But not all humans are like this." The blond boy said as he walked.
"Many people did not hibernate in the safety of the underground, but remained on the surface of the earth where strange beasts roamed and hunger and cold were everywhere."
"Although only a few individuals survived, they still managed to survive. Perhaps they hid in some underground cave, or perhaps they were helped by the technology of the past to survive the initial difficult times."
"Later, even without undergoing genetic modification, they gradually adapted to this world filled with mana."
"Although, during these more than a thousand years of hardship, they had almost forgotten, lost, and forgotten all their past knowledge and skills. But they were eventually passed down and survived until the arrival of the Twilight Age."
"And these people, whom we call 'adapters,' are distinct from those of us who have undergone genetic modification."
"Well, that's good too." Raiguil put down the butterfly in his hand, turned around, and walked back hand in hand with the blond boy.
"It's great and lucky, but also sad. After all, we were once the same existence." said the blond boy.
"But it's still a bit painful to see them living a life of eating raw meat and drinking blood." The blond boy looked up at the sky.
"There's nothing we can do about it, right? Or maybe it's just that the scene brought back memories of what we saw at the base."
"We, the remaining transcendents, or humans who have returned to the physical body, have also fallen from the beautiful Garden of Eden to the mortal world." Laiguier looked at the white chrysanthemum in his hand. The pale yellow stamens and small white petals in it rotated in the palm of his hand as he rubbed it.
At the end of the Twilight Age, the Mechanical Council led all humans within their faction, abandoning their flesh and blood and mechanical bodies and entering the Sea of Aegkal, becoming beings similar to spirits or energy. These humans are called Transcendents.
Now the Sea of Aijaka has been polluted, and the ocean is almost entirely filled with chaotic phantoms, so these remaining humans have separated from the Sea of Aijaka and tried to transform into entities again.
Unfortunately, most of these experiments ended in failure. Eventually, they gave up and used frozen embryos to create new offspring. These two young people were born that way.
In order to make humans who have regained their flesh and blood bodies more perfect, the surviving humans picked up the theories and technologies of the former "Tree of Life" faction and began to study ways to transform and improve life.
