I'm so sorry for the late update, just a lot happened today.
I didn't sleep all night last night just to wait for the review reply the next morning. I received a reply from the site at 9:30, and it still didn't pass. I felt very disappointed.
I got up to eat something, lay down and took a nap, and woke up drowsily at 12 noon. Then I opened my phone and saw another message at 11:30, saying that an editor from another editing team had noticed me and informed me that I could sign the contract if I changed teams.
Suddenly, everything seemed to brighten up, just like in the novel, and I felt excited again.
Feeling nervous, I quickly contacted the editor who left the message. Finally, half an hour later, I got a positive reply, and the stone in my heart slowly fell to the ground.
In the afternoon, I started filling out the information according to the background process, applying, and the application was approved. I walked to the store one kilometer away to print the contract, and then placed an order through the SF Express APP to mail it. It was already eight o'clock when I returned to my residence.
Sitting in front of the computer, I still can't believe it. It feels like a dream. I always feel that only when I get paid one day, I will have a sense of real signing.
I have been reading novels for many years, and this year is my first time trying to write. In the first half of the year, I wrote a little bit intermittently during my free time after get off work. However, the book was still very immature and had not been signed, so it can be regarded as some experience accumulated.
The salary at work was average, the company was small and there wasn't much future. I originally wanted to change jobs after the epidemic was over, but the idea of writing a novel suddenly came up again. I hesitated and weighed the pros and cons for several days, thinking that there would always be regrets if I didn't try it, so I started preparing where I lived, and thus this book came into being.
During this period, some friends advised me that it was too risky, but I still wanted to pursue my dream. After all, I have been reading novels for so many years, and there are always some emotions that I want to express.
I started out on Qidian as a standalone blogger, and gradually gained some readers. Seeing the collection gradually increase, I felt very happy. It's like a chef who prepares a table full of delicious food and feels very satisfied when he sees everyone enjoying it.
I had previously failed to sign a contract, and was about to give up on starting a new novel. At that time, I had already stopped updating. But after midnight, a reader still voted for me, and it was that familiar name. I was moved and quietly changed the update schedule to 3-4 days in the background. Then I wrote a chapter every day, and then slowly resumed the update schedule twice a day. Finally, I persisted and achieved the results today.
I can’t say it’s particularly great, but my personal experience has given me a unique feeling. (The feeling I wrote before was too embarrassing, so I have edited it now)
