Walking on the dirt path with dry grass, Loranhill and Ye Ling headed towards Bumansha's home.
Because there are not many people in the town and there is only one bakery, it is particularly easy to find.
It was now early July and the weather was very comfortable. Wheat straw was drying in the fields, emitting a faint smell of hay. As the two walked by, they could also see some farmers harvesting grain.
They covered their heads with scarves, bent down and cut the wheat straw with sickles, then tied it into bundles and piled them in the fields for the time being, like small golden hills.
"What a nice smell." Ye Ling, who was walking in front, smelled the baking aroma coming from afar.
"The house in front should be the bakery where Bumansa works." Loran Hill held an umbrella and looked up. A little smoke was coming out of the wide and solid bakery.
"I can't wait any longer. I'll go over first." Ye Ling opened his arms and ran briskly along the path beside the field, then jumped onto the small hill where the houses were built.
"Sister Bumansha~" Soon after, Loran Hill heard a cheerful voice coming from the front.
Walking up the hillside in small steps, Loran Hill put away his umbrella and saw Ye Ling holding Bumansha in his arms.
Bumansha was wearing peasant clothes today, with a light yellow apron wrapped around her. Although she was dressed simply, her mature and beautiful figure was still visible.
"I didn't expect you to come too, Loran." Bumansha touched Ye Ling's head and looked at Loran Hill who was approaching the house.
Although Loran Hill had blonde hair at that time, she was still easily recognized by her good friend. After all, her strength was not inferior.
"Long time no see, Sister Bumansha." Loran Hill also walked forward, hugged Bumansha, and touched her cheek affectionately.
"Loran hasn't changed at all." Bumansa smiled as she looked at the girl's youthful face and figure.
"Well, maybe it won't grow anymore." Loran Hill showed a helpless expression on her face. In fact, she was very accustomed to it. If she was really as mature and plump as Bumansha, she would probably not be used to it.
"Okay, okay, I feel like if I ask again, I'll just let you show off, haha." Bumansha smiled with her hands covering her mouth, then led the two of them into the store and sat them down.
"You came at the right time. I made some new bread. Come and try it."
Wearing gloves, Bumansha took a large iron tray out of the oven and placed it on the table. Two rows of cocoa-colored bread were still steaming.
Use a cutting knife to move the bread to a white porcelain plate, then Bumansha cuts the bread open to reveal the steam rising from it, allowing the bread to dissipate heat faster.
"I recently bought some cocoa beans to make bread, and added some almonds and hazelnuts to it." Bumansha introduced her new work.
"The style has become gorgeous." Loran Hill blinked and looked at the chocolate-colored bread in front of him, with a tempting aroma wafting to his nose.
When she was in school, Bumansha also made bread, but the ingredients she used were mostly common and ordinary, and she rarely made pastries with precious ingredients.
"Now that I have some spare time, I can try different styles." Bumansa placed the slices of bread in front of Loran Hill and Ye Ling.
"Because I wasn't well off before, I had to save money. Now that I can afford it, I want to try some new materials and methods."
"Being frugal and thrifty is a good habit, but being too obsessed with it is not good either." Bumansha explained briefly. Among her roommates and companions, she is the most open-minded and broad-minded.
"That's true." Loran Hill also nodded. After all, a good life is the driving force for people to work hard and be diligent. If this is also taken away, then what is the point of hard work and diligence?
While having a conversation with Bumansa, Loranhill also picked up the bread in front of him and observed it with a little curiosity.
It felt warm in her hands. She simply tore off a piece, and a faint white vapor and fragrance emerged from it. The roasted wheat aroma and the sweet aroma mixed together, giving people a feeling of happiness.
Take a small bite and you can feel the sweet and smooth feeling of cocoa on the tip of your tongue. The bread is well fermented and tastes fluffy and soft. The presence of a few nuts makes the chewing less monotonous and brings a diverse experience.
"It's delicious." Little Loran said sincerely.
"Anything else?" While Loran Hill was praising him, Ye Ling had quietly finished a piece, and his hopeful eyes looked at the plate again.
"Haha~ there's more." Bumansa took out another piece and placed it in front of Ye Ling, then cut off a small piece for herself and tasted it.
The three of them ate bread in the store and talked to each other about what had happened over the years. Occasionally, residents of the town would be attracted by the aroma and buy a few pieces of bread to take away.
Watching a town resident leave, Loran Hill said, "The price is very cheap."
"Yes, it's actually a little lower than the raw materials, but it's not a big deal." Bumansha packed up the remaining bread, put it in the glass cabinet, and then turned around.
"Want to go for a walk around? We're closing up shop now."
"Yeah. There shouldn't be any problem closing so early, right?" Loran Hill nodded, then asked curiously.
"There is definitely a problem, but it doesn't matter. It's just that someone who came late didn't buy it today." Bumansha smiled with her hands covering her mouth.
"But it's not a big deal. There are many places selling food in this town, so you won't go hungry." She explained briefly.
"Little Loran is still the same as before, always considering the impact on the people around him."
"You have a personality that makes it easy for you to sympathize with others. In fact, you can be a little willful occasionally." She took off her apron, hung it aside, and then put her hand on the girl's shoulder.
