Chapter 842 Lorraine Hill Holding the Lamp

In April, a gentle sea breeze blew through the streets of Hopeland, and the soothing sound of waves could be heard from afar.

There were still a few traces of water on the streets after the night rain. The gray-white stone bricks gradually became whiter and more delicate under the sun, and there was a refreshing feeling facing the wind.

On the street beside the entrance to the Carites Chamber of Commerce, Loran Hill was carrying a rattan box and saying goodbye to the people behind her. She was wearing a light white dress with a thin, pale blue waistband and delicate, hollow floral decorations at the edges. Beside her was Ye Ling, dressed in a refreshing summer outfit.

"Just send it here. I told everyone yesterday. No need to make a big fuss." Looking at Chelsea and a dozen or so acquaintances passing by behind her, the girl waved her hand, and her light golden hair fluttered from time to time, brushing against her soft cheeks.

"Okay, Miss." Seeing this, Chelsea also stopped and stood where she was, with her hands around her waist, bowing and saying goodbye with everyone else.

"See you later, everyone."

As he spoke, Loran Hill took Ye Ling beside him, and the two of them leaped lightly, then rose towards the blue sky, slowly turning into small black dots and disappearing among the clouds.

Flying in the sky with the sea breeze, the two looked down and the panoramic view of Hopeland gradually came into view. The orange-red tiled roofs matched with white walls, and rows of houses were staggered on both sides of the street. The whole city was crescent-shaped and embraced the ocean. Ships with white sails were docked in the port, and occasionally a few ironclad ships with black smoke came in and out, bringing some excitement and noise.

"I'm a little reluctant." Ye Lingfei stood beside Luo Lanxier and expressed his thoughts when leaving.

"Have you found a good playmate?" Loran Hill smiled as he looked at the little guy beside him.

"Well, it's fun to play games with Lan Lier at Feng Nai's house. She knows a lot of fun things." As Ye Ling talked about Lan Lier's little inventions and games, little stars seemed to appear in her eyes.

"But Lan Li'er won't be able to accompany you soon. Teacher Filia has sent her and Ling Xin to perform with the troupe," the girl explained, explaining Teacher Filia's recent arrangements. Lan Li'er currently serves as the Fenghua Opera Troupe's accompanying alchemist, specializing in the preparation of the troupe's musical alchemical props. She also occasionally learns to perform on stage and finds time to learn how the troupe operates. But she's been busy.

"So, let's come again next time. Actually, I'm also quite curious about Lanlier's opera troupe because it's quite interesting." Ye Ling said seriously.

"Yeah, I'll be back. But for now, let's go home."

As the two rose higher and higher, Hopelander slowly disappeared from sight. At this time, Loran Hill no longer restrained himself. He held Ye Ling's wrist with one hand. The two held on tightly and began to activate their own powers related to wind and atmosphere.

The two of them were speeding up faster and faster in the sky, and everything in their vision began to blur. They exceeded the speed of sound and approached the limit. Like a shining meteor, they crossed the clear blue sky and sailed towards the north, crossing thousands of mountains and rivers in an instant.

The earth was rotating beneath them, and the sun was moving in the sky. When it just reached the center, the two finally arrived above Solander, the capital of Clansia.

The lush light green fields exuded a fresh and lively scent in the sunshine. The fragrance of grass, accompanied by the scent of flowers and grass seeds, drifted in the wind. When the two slowly landed, they could feel the slight itch of dandelions brushing against their calves.

My toes stepped lightly on the hillside, bending some grass leaves. The heat accumulated at noon was transferred to the skin of my legs through the grass, and some green grasshoppers were scared and ran away from my feet.

The two stood on a wild hillside outside of Solander, gazing at the magnificent city of Crancia from afar, the towering white walls coming into view.

Compared to the scene in the girl's memory, Solander has now more than doubled in size. The white city walls pierce the sky like a castle fortress. Occasionally, round towers protrude from the smooth walls, guarding the city like guards.

Under the city walls were wide avenues that extended out from the city. These avenues were paved with fine gravel that was dry and hot in the sun. Carriages passed through the avenues from time to time, entering and leaving this magnificent city.

Surrounding Solander is a big river, its name is the Golden Moon River. More than a hundred years ago, Xifeng dug a canal that runs through the north and south, which allowed the country to revive again. The royal family was also able to collect a large amount of taxes through the canal. Countless gold flowed into Solander along this river and was stored in the royal palace. Because this river is shaped like a crescent moon and surrounds Solander, people finally called it the Golden Moon River and gradually forgot its past name.

Today, this river is still prosperous. Long ships carrying cargo that has sunk the sides of the ships continue to sail into the city's harbor, unload these wooden boxes, and then take away some other prepared goods, like a long dragon that never stops.

Looking at this bustling and prosperous scene, Ye Ling couldn't help but open his mouth in surprise.

"What a big city! It feels even more lively than Titaneia." Just as she exclaimed, a black steel train roared across the wilderness and entered the city with a long whistle.

"Welcome to the capital, Soland." Loran Hill turned sideways and welcomed Ye Ling.

Then the two of them jumped down from the hillside and walked towards the magnificent city.

Beneath the massive city walls, the gate stretched like a cave, towering and spacious. Walking beneath it, one could feel the wind behind them and hear faint echoes. Following the enthusiastic crowd, the two of them entered the city of Crancia.

Passing through the city gate, the bustling cityscape, bathed in sunlight, surged into their vision, filling it. Rooftops in shades of light green, bright blue, berry red, and ethereal blue jutted out on either side of the street. Shops teemed with diverse styles and ethnicities, and people of all stripes wandered the streets, their cries of hawking echoing everywhere.
