Chapter 1047 Cold Disaster Hypothesis

"Hello, my name is Loran." Loran Hill said his simplified name. It couldn't be called a lie, it was just a slight cover-up.

"Loran, what a nice name." The elven lady seemed to remember something, but did not ask or expose it directly.

"Although there is some human activity in the Emerald Garden, most of them are just passing through. People like you are truly rare, which is why they've sparked such curiosity and surprise. I'm also somewhat sorry for what happened just now. I hope you don't mind. If possible, I'd like to invite you to my residence."

The elven lady spoke gently to Loranhill. Although the two were only talking in a corner of the hall, some elves would always glance at them intentionally or unintentionally, looking at the two with a little curiosity.

Marantha was a prominent figure within the forest elves. She was one of the fifteen seats of the Emerald Court, often assisting the elven queen with matters concerning the Emerald Forest. Such a prominent figure was rarely accessible to ordinary elves, and even at such banquets, it was considered rude to approach someone of insufficient status to greet them, unless they approached first.

This is also the reason why, even though Marantha has such a high status, she is still not surrounded by people for conversation.

After briefly asking about the time when Loran Hill would come to the Emerald Forest, Marantha continued to extend the invitation.

"In June, the triennial 'Wind Washing Festival' will be held in the 'Orchid Crown'. There will be a grand celebration. Is Roland interested in coming and seeing it?" The elven lady suggested as lunch was coming to an end.

"June?" Loran Hill calculated the time, which was about a month later. He thought it should be in time, so he nodded.

"That's great! The 'Xifeng Festival' has another distinguished guest." Maransha smiled and raised her glass.

The low-alcohol green fruit wine flowed into his throat, giving Loran Hill a cool stimulation, and then a faint warmth rose in his stomach, making him feel a little tipsy.

Seeing the girl nod in agreement, Marantha stopped disturbing her and went her separate ways to talk to other people in the hall.

After she left, Westena looked at Loran Hill with interest and explained some things to her.

"Maransha seems to have a good impression of you. She should be roughly aware of your identity. After all, you, the witch, have been the most famous person on the continent in the past ten years."

"Although she represents the traditional elven nobility, she's not a bad person. She has her own principles and moral integrity. Besides being a bit difficult to talk to, she's surprisingly trustworthy."

"If you can get her to accept it, then the subsequent actions will be very beneficial and much easier."

"Come on, our sage~" Westena said as she hugged the girl's shoulders again and 'caressed' her to express her joy.

"No~" With his hands on Westena's waist, Loranhill struggled out of her arms, then used his hands to tidy up his messy hair, looking at the elf sage with a bit of annoyance.

"I still have so many questions to ask, and it feels like you still have so much to tell me."

"Hehe, yes, yes, our beloved Star Witch, if you have anything to say, just ask me. I will tell you almost everything I know."

"Why would Sabrina reject humans like this, or rather, uh, directly?" Loran Hill sat next to Westena, looking at Sabrina who was still surrounded by a small circle of people in the distance, with some confusion in his voice.

"Ah, in the eyes of Loran Hill, such behavior must be unreasonable, incredible, and against reason." Westena crossed one leg over the other, leaned back in the chair with some ease, and then used one hand to twirl the hair on her shoulders to explain to Loran Hill.

"But not everyone thinks rationally, or perhaps that's the minority. Many people just say it out loud when an idea crosses their mind."

"Well, doesn't it feel abrupt and offensive?" Although Loran Hill asked this, he had a vague understanding in his heart.

"Offense, they don't realize it because they are like this all the time."

"If you want to appear extraordinary, to earn the admiration and envy of a crowd or everyone, the most effective way is to express disdain and criticism of something, thereby highlighting your uniqueness, clarity and wisdom, nobility and excellence. This is the simplest and most direct method, and many ordinary people do fall for it."

"So, you think she's targeting you, but actually, she's targeting everything that doesn't go her way. She always speaks out about it as if it's normal, and then it draws agreement and approval from those around her, making her feel really good."

"This is her life, and it's also the food that maintains her sense of spiritual superiority. She can't change it no matter what." Westena shook her head and commented on such a person.

"That's amazing, Westena." Loran Hill blinked and praised from the bottom of his heart.

He is indeed a sage of the elves. Although he is young, he stands out from many elves and is recognized and accepted by the Sage Council of Emenas. This elf really has a unique side and can so clearly understand the mentality and thoughts of these fellow elves.

"It's nothing. I just see it so many times that I gradually get used to it. I'm also a little worried that if you stay in the Emerald Garden for too long, you'll gradually lose the freshness and curiosity you had when you first came in, as well as your beautiful imagination of the elves."

"Ahem, actually, elves do have their merits, but they also have their shortcomings. I hope Roland can be a little understanding."
