The position of the Elf Queen is chosen from among the princess candidates. The Elf Princess is indeed from the royal family, but the best ones are selected from the royal family of the forest elves, rather than being appointed by the previous generation as in the human kingdom.

Loran Hill pictured the image of the Elf Queen in his mind, and felt that Katie should have a lot in common with the Elf Queen.
However, Keti wasn't stupid, she just lacked common sense and seemed dull. If Roland Hill taught her, she would still learn quickly. And when teaching Keti, Roland Hill would sometimes make new discoveries, question past common sense, and explore the essence of some problems.
Having said that, K'ti is really lovable. It's hard to imagine that in the distant past, she was feared by people.
