On one side of the Iron Golem team, a 10-meter-tall one was parked on the side of the road. The hatch on its back opened, and a man in a wizard's robe stuck his head out. Soon after, a young wizard flew over from behind and landed on the golem's shoulder.
"What's the situation up ahead?"
"I've already seen the walls of Jiansong City. This city is built halfway up the mountain, with the Black Pine River below it. It's an insurmountable pass in the mountain valley."
"Huh, we're finally here." The mage who came later breathed a sigh of relief.

After all, the verdant greenery was our primary threat, so transportation wasn't a major consideration during their design. "But we've finally reached our destination, haven't we? As long as we capture this city and use it as a bridgehead, the Golem Army will have a safe repair and supply point, making it much easier to attack the interior of Crancia."
"Well, send the signal. The Steel Axe Legion will remain on standby. After resting for half a day, the siege will begin at noon. The Copper Trumpet and Fire Thorn Legions will follow in succession to reinforce. We will strive to capture the city before dark."
As the words fell, a signal arrow with a rapid sound rose up and exploded in the air. Then these gray-silver steel golems began to change their formation and slowly spread out.
On the distant city wall, the sound of the big bell kept echoing. Soldiers were startled by the officers' urgent shouts, picked up the weapons at hand, and rushed towards the city wall.
