Chapter 43 Jelinek's Inquiry

"Yes, so what? I will report this matter to the court of the Virga Alliance and accuse you of your crime."

Loran Hill took small sips of the fruit wine, his cheeks flushed slightly, and he was not scared by Jelinek.

"Mr. Jelinek is right. I am indeed not Angus's daughter." As the words fell, the guards around him began to tighten their spears.

The girl sighed in her heart, realizing that she was not suitable for lying. She was exposed after just a few days.

"But, Angus' transfer of the Chamber of Commerce to me was not a deception." Loran Hill placed the empty wine glass on the table, making a slight sound.

"How is that possible?" Jelinek asked in disbelief.

Jelinek waved his hand, reluctantly signaling for the door to open.

The door was opened again, and Chelsea, Ceres, and several riders from the Carites family were fighting fiercely with the guards from the Agatilin family. Fortunately, both sides exercised restraint and there were no casualties.

"Finally the door is open, Jelinek. I didn't expect that after all these years, you're still so timid that you'd need to call so many people just to deal with a girl."

Chelsea put away the rapier in her hand, pushed away the spear beside her, and stood next to Loran Hill.

"Sorry, miss, I'm late."
