Afterwards, the three of them went together to where the luggage was stored, and later asked Jelann to tell them various things. It was not until several hours later that the curiosity and enthusiasm of the two gradually subsided.
"I see. It's not as fun as I thought. Hey."
"Let's look forward to going to Emenas later."
"Are there many beautiful girls there? I heard there are some girls from the elf tribe." The two younger brothers are young and their interest in the opposite sex is far greater than their extraordinary strength.
"Elves? Yes, there are, but they probably belong to girls as old as your grandmother." Jelann smiled at the two boys in front of him, then ruffled their hair.
"It would be better to find a human girl of similar age to you. After all, we are griffins from the mountains and cannot marry elves like unicorns." Jelann was talking about the hidden rules among the nobles. As the king of the West, it would be a bit of an usurpation to marry a forest elf. This was generally a royal privilege or the style of the nobles in the East.
"I'm going to test you this time to see how your sword practice is going." After sitting for a while at the fence beside the corridor, Jelan asked the maid to find three wooden swords and let his two younger brothers be his opponents.
"We definitely can't beat you, big brother. But if big brother Jie Lann lets us join him, maybe we can give you a surprise." The two looked at each other and smiled slyly.
"Then let's go together." After that, the three of them fought back and forth on the grass, relying purely on sword skills and physical combat without using any supernatural powers.
"Haha..." An hour later, the three of them lay on the grass panting, looking up at the sky with a smile.
"Very good cooperation between you just now." Jelann commented.
"Of course, we are super powerful. Just wait, big brother, in a few years, we will surpass you."
"Then I have to look forward to it, hehe."
After saying that, the three of them closed their eyes quietly and felt the warm breeze blowing on their bodies. Now the winter in the west is almost over.
As the sun gradually set and it was past four in the afternoon, Jelan and his two younger brothers took a walk in this ancient courtyard.
"I heard that this is one of our family's earliest mansions, back in the early Third Age, when there wasn't even the Griffin Duchy." The two were talking about the records they had recently found in the study.
"After our ancestors became prosperous, this place became deserted, with only a few people coming here for vacation and sightseeing."
"It's quite mysterious anyway." The two walked in front and looked at the wall on one side of the corridor. It was covered with green vines, covering the weathered cracks on the wall, giving it a sense of remoteness and tranquility.
"But it's fine this way. I don't like the noisy atmosphere of the main family either. There are so many relatives and children, some of them are really stupid."
"It's actually more comfortable here, hehe." The two of them said this and then started running forward together, as if they wanted to see who was faster and climb the cliff in front first.
"Hey." With one foot on the gray-white rock wall, the two men jumped onto the hill nimbly, and then waved to Jelan below.
"Come up, Brother Jerlane."
"These two guys." Jelan shook his head, then took a few steps and stepped directly forward, and then he heard the two men's gloating laughter.
It turned out that there was a big pit hidden behind the mountain wall, and the two people just happened to be standing at the edge of the pit.
Seeing this, Jelann moved slightly, then changed his previous relaxed posture and stepped down heavily, one foot on the soil at the bottom of the pit, and in the process shook the two people down with screams.
The two rolled a few times on the dirt slope, and only stopped when they slid to the bottom of the pit in a panic.
"Pah." They spit out the mud in their mouths, with bitter expressions on their faces.
"It hurts." Then one of them squatted down with sweat on his forehead, covering his ankle.
"Don't play such pranks. It's okay for me, but if your sister sees it, she will probably beat her up again." Seeing this, Jelan shook his head.
"No, I'm really hurt this time, big brother." The squatting brother looked up, his eyes a little wet.
"Really? Let me see. It looks like I really twisted my ankle and it's bleeding." Seeing the socks on his ankles gradually turning red, Jelann finally reacted.
"But there's only dirt here, how could I hit my foot?" As he said this, he looked at the dirt slope above with a little confusion, and then he found a corner of stone exposed in it, which looked like part of a stone tablet.
After simply bandaging his brother's foot injury, Jelann climbed up the hillside again, pushed aside the accumulated soil, and found the complete stone tablet.
"The writing is a little unclear and has been severely corroded. It looks like it was made a long time ago." The three of them looked at the stone tablet with a little curiosity.
"Is there more to it? I feel like there's more to it than just this."
"Indeed." As he spoke, Jelan's eyes narrowed, and then he swung his palm diagonally, bringing up a white air-breaking blade that pierced into the mountain wall, cutting off a lot of soil.
After repeating this several times, the things at the back gradually emerged. They were as black as ink and had not decayed even after being buried for so many years.
Finally, the three of them dragged the rectangular object out of the mud and looked at it carefully.
It seemed to be made of some rare and extraordinary hardwood, with golden veins decorating the edges. In the middle was the symbol of the Salius family, a gilded griffin pattern, and the pattern was surrounded by unknown white flowers, which was very beautiful.
"This is something from our family, but it looks like a coffin?" A younger brother looked puzzled and went forward to knock on it, but it felt like solid rock and there was no echo.
"Could there be treasures buried by our ancestors?" Another one also expressed his thoughts, eager to try.
