Chapter 1056 The Sound of Paddles on the Lake

"Jia Lan, have I changed your clothes?"

As evening approached, Loran Hill sat on the edge of the bed in the room, looking at the emerald dress with gold pendants in her hand, wondering whether she should change into it.

Because of the decision made at the Holy Tree Conference, the reformists, or the group that had left, were planning to hold a gathering so that everyone could get to know each other better and discuss the five tests, how to allocate personnel, and how to complete them.

That is tonight, yeah.

In order to introduce Loran Hill to the elves who did not know and understand her yet, Westena specially prepared this natural-style elf dress for her. The material of the dress is divided into several layers. The base is a soft white, and then it is dotted with emerald silk ribbons in the middle, tied into a bow or fixed with golden shoulder buckles. In addition, there is a matching golden headdress. The slender gold ornaments are tied into chains and pendants, covering the top of the head like a veil. In the reflection of the light, it contrasts with the green hair, which is very beautiful.

On the morning glory-like cuffs, golden lace peeks out from the white petal cuffs, and the outstretched hand is like a dreamy pistil, which makes people love it.

This dress clearly reveals the soft and dreamy temperament of Loran Hill, making people unable to take their eyes off it at first sight. However, considering such a gorgeous appearance, she will probably become the center of attention wherever she goes.

Although it’s not impossible to adapt to it, I always feel that it’s a bit high-profile. Will people think that I’m too "ostentatious"?

I'm a human, and attending a dinner party where elves gather, it's a bit too conspicuous to dress like this.

Loran Hill pinched the dress in her hand, looked at the mirror, then looked at herself, struggling in her heart in a seemingly meaningless way, until she heard Westena knocking on the door outside.

"Oh, I know. I'll change it soon."

Thinking that she couldn't let her friend down, Loran Hill finally decided to put on the dress.

A few minutes later, the door opened and a girl who looked like a fairy from legend walked out. Even the dim corridor could not conceal the radiant glow emanating from her body, and her beauty could not be ignored.

"Cute, beautiful, dreamy, unforgettable, shocking, lovable, as if it were a dream." Westena looked at Loran Hill standing in front of her, using various adjectives to express the feeling in her heart after seeing the beauty, and then she gently hugged Loran Hill, feeling as if she had caught a dream.

"It is indeed the right decision." The elf sage blinked, smiled, loosened his hand, then gently pulled the girl up and walked downstairs.

"It will definitely surprise everyone~"

Holding his hand with the enthusiastic elf sister in front of him, Loranhill walked behind with a little distress.

The banquet was held in a small, rarely used palace of the Elf Queen, located on the lake. To get there, one had to take a carriage and then a small boat.

"I've been waiting for you for a long time, Teacher Westena, please hurry up. I have an appointment with my friends, and it won't be good if you're late."

When the two arrived at the gate, Charlie was already waiting there. Behind her was a high-end carriage, which seemed to be specially prepared, and was pulled by two white unicorns.

Although there is no shortage of unicorns in the Emerald Forest, this noble and extraordinary animal is rarely used to pull carts and is only used in a few important occasions. It is unknown what connections Westena had to find it.

The three of them boarded the carriage. Charlie simply shook the bell in her hand and told them where they wanted to go, and the two unicorns began to walk. They were intelligent and did not need whips or reins to command them. This pulling of the carriage was more like an accidental cooperative behavior.

The wheels made a slight sound as they rolled over the stone slabs. Sitting in the carriage, Loran Hill looked out the window curiously. The hanging flower-shaped street lights glowed in the night, and a melodious violin sound came from the distance.

The rhythm of the piano was simple and repetitive, as if someone was learning and practicing, with occasional interruptions. However, even though he didn't see the real person, Loran Hill could vaguely sense the joy and ease in the player's heart from the piano music. Even if he didn't play very well, he didn't care and had his own little interest.

The clatter of horse hooves echoed through the evening streets, and occasionally one could hear the surprised voices of children, as if they were curious about the appearance of the unicorn.

Then, amidst the noise and play, the children ran away.

Passing through streets of varying light and shade and through the shadows of trees, the carriage gradually arrived at the broad lake.

"We're here."

Charlie shook the crisp bell in her hand, waking up Loran Hill, who was dazed with his chin supported.

Stepping down from the carriage and walking out from behind Westena, the girl felt the night breeze from the lake, a light coolness and moisture brushing across her arms and calves.

There is a short, fat and solid white building by the lake, with a green glazed dome on top and white walls below. There is a copper metal fence on the shore next to it, with golden pod-like boats tied to it with ropes, which are slightly undulating and rippling in the water.

Westena seemed to be very familiar with this place. She went forward and knocked on the door. She said a few words to the elf man, and then he pulled out a small boat and handed it to the three of them.

"Let's go up. The scenery of the lake at night is actually very nice."

Although several people can fly, they also don’t rule out taking a boat, or the scenery seen in life is what is more exciting.

With one foot on the swaying bow, Loran Hill stretched out his arms, bent slightly to maintain his balance, and then slowly sat down. Listening to the sound of the oars paddling the lake water beside him, a feeling of intimacy and familiarity came over him from his memory.
