Chapter 153 Construction of Clancia

Clancia, the capital, Solander City.

The former West Wind City is now the capital of Crancia and the headquarters of the Council of Stars. After months of finalization and discussion, the general framework of the country has finally been established. The Council will be composed of six major ministries: Agriculture, Education, Commerce, Industry, Construction, and Justice. New departments will be added as needed, but for now, these six are the primary departments.

Although the West Wind Royal Family and most of the main armed forces were defeated, there are still many private armed forces of nobles remaining in various places, especially in remote areas, and these still need to be wiped out with great effort.

Currently, major cities in China are still under military control, and will only gradually be handed over to local administrative bodies. This is mainly due to the scarcity of suitable talent, as previously, most of the well-educated were children of the nobility. However, to prevent the resurgence of past ideas, children of the nobility are currently prohibited from serving in any mid- to high-level institutions in China.

"So issues related to education need to be put on the agenda immediately."

Inside the former royal palace's hall, a large table was placed. A map of Clancy and its surroundings was displayed on it, and a group of people sat around it. Pullman sat at the head of the table, with the others sitting nearby, surrounding the table.

The former bard Tolan put forward his own suggestions at the meeting. As a poet, he had a deep understanding of literature and history, had traveled to many places, and became the leader of the education department after the founding of the People's Republic of China.

"Building a school is not a big project, but the problem is the source of teachers." A scholar from the Ministry of Industry pushed his glasses and continued.

"Our pre-uprising propaganda, in order to spread quickly and achieve quick results, mostly focused on imparting knowledge about writing, ideology, and discipline. But if schools are to teach, it would be best if they also included mathematics, legal codes, and history."

In the past, in the Kingdom of West Wind, most scholars were children from aristocratic families who had no inheritance rights. They either joined the army as officers or clerks, or stayed at home to help their brothers who inherited the family business and became their deputies and confidants.

If these former aristocratic children are allowed to be teachers, it will lead students astray and set a bad example.

"Don't worry about the teacher's question." Pullman thought of the reply letter he received a few days ago, a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, and his only remaining right arm was writing and drawing on the table, recording various issues in the meeting.

"Is there a solution, Pullman?" A somewhat short figure asked at the table. Even in today's meeting, he was still wearing a hooded robe and covering his face.

"Yes, Wei, maybe you will find it more familiar after seeing them. They are from the Tisilan Mountains."

"The rabbit-eared tribe..." The short figure repeated slowly, as if recalling something.

"Is this the assistance from His Majesty the Sage?" Tolan asked curiously. The others also looked at Pullman with curiosity like him.

"Yes, it's the teacher's students, and the students' students. Uh... Unfortunately, the teacher still doesn't want to come out. She said that coming here might affect our judgment. Since this is the country where we grew up, we have more personal experience. It would be bad for her to guide us. However, the teacher also promised to help review our plan and remind us if there are any omissions."

"Is that so? Actually, I'm still very curious about Her Majesty Roland Hill's appearance. I remember you always boasting to us about how beautiful your teacher was, saying she was the most beautiful woman in the world, even prettier than the goddess statue in the temple."

The other people present, some who joined early and some who joined late, were also curious at this moment and were waiting for Pullman's answer.

"Well, I did exaggerate a bit at that time." Pullman gave a nostalgic smile.

"However, I did not lie about this one point, even after meeting those princesses from the West Wind and the daughters of the noble families some time ago. The teacher is indeed the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."

"After all these years of talking about it, why don't you just draw a picture?"

One of the companions couldn't help it and complained loudly, saying that it was always like this, raising everyone's expectations but not solving the problem. It was very frustrating.

"Everyone knows that my drawings are not good, so please don't tarnish the teacher's good image."

"It's like this again. Well, forget it. I don't count on you anymore."

Although Pullman is now the country's top leader, most of the people present here are his companions who shared weal and woe in the past, so there is no need to put on airs. When they discuss things, it sometimes feels as casual as chatting about family matters. However, they will also discuss some key issues seriously.

"The most important things next year will still be farming after the spring and then opening up roads."

After everyone paused for a moment, Pullman began to summarize.

"We will strive to open up more arable land, with the military responsible for organizing and leading the charge. Next, we will repair and open up several major thoroughfares within the country. This will not only greatly enhance our control and influence over various regions and stabilize order, but will also facilitate the flow of domestic resources, ensuring the smooth flow of key necessities like grain, salt, and iron."

After the summary, everyone basically agreed, except for the short figure from before who did not raise his hand but said something else.

"Frost roses in the south must be careful."

"Have you discovered anything?" asked a loud-voiced general nearby.

"Yes, they sent quite a few people to our side, and even tried to persuade some people to join them, haha."

"Frost Rose relies solely on selling fear and anxiety about verdant people to attract members, and they haven't proposed any substantial means of progress."
