Hopeland, 'Flower Beach' cold drink shop.
"Hello, welcome~"
As the glass lattice door opened, the sound of crisp wind chimes came from inside the house. The maid in the store looked curiously at the guest who came from afar. He was wearing a white hooded robe. The material of the clothes was very special, smooth and textured, without the light and thin feeling of ordinary fabrics.
"Hello, is Mrs. Filia here?" The man's voice was mellow and clear, making the maid in the store blush a little.
"Yes, it's on the third floor. Are you here to see the teacher?"
"Teacher? That's right." He seemed to remember something and nodded.
"Yes, I'm from Emenas. Please help inform them."
"Well, no problem." Hearing such polite and elegant words, the maid seemed to be even more infatuated.
Amidst the laughter of her companions, she walked towards the stairs in small steps, while the man walked to a table in the corner of the room and sat down for a while.
Not long after, the maid came down from upstairs with a thud, then turned her head and searched the store until she found the man.
"Hello, the teacher asked you to go up directly." She looked at the visitor with a little curiosity, guessing in her heart that this person might have an extraordinary background.
"Thank you very much."
The man nodded, then stood up and walked towards the stairs.
In the room on the third floor, Mrs. Filia was sitting on the sofa, with the music sheet still wet beside her. When she heard the door open, she looked up and saw the familiar face.
"I was wondering who it was. It turns out to be you, Alder."
Mrs. Filia picked up the coffee pot on the coffee table, poured him a cup of coffee, and continued to ask questions.
"What's the matter with you this time? I remember you're a very busy person in the Sage Society, traveling all year round."
"Just kidding, but this time I do have something I want to talk to Filia about." The man lowered his hood, revealing his short golden hair. His face was like a perfect sculpture, making people unable to help but take a few more glances.
"It's about the Star Witch, Her Highness Loranhill." He picked up the coffee, blew on it briefly, and then took a sip.
"A conference was recently held in Emenas, and this sage and witch from Clancy were in attendance."
"That's a bit surprising." Mrs. Filia blinked and said the words without showing any surprise in her heart.
"Um."
"During the meeting, the Star Witch raised a number of opinions, some concerning internal reforms within the Sage Council and others concerning the world situation."
"Very bold." Mrs. Filia smiled with satisfaction.
"Yes, even if she is a witch, she is a newly born witch. Her strength cannot reach those of her predecessors who have lived for a long time."
"Although there are rumors that she was the one who manipulated the Sun Crown that year, the analysis of many sages and witches later determined that the possibility is still too low."
"The battle between the Sun Crown and the Moon Crown was recorded on murals before the First Age. The elves of that time did extensive research on the relics left over from the age of dragons and giants."
"According to the records, if the crown is fully controlled, it would be equivalent to the existence of a god, and could change the order and rules of the entire world."
"Throughout recorded history, the only person who could have come into contact with the crown was probably the Blood Moon Witch, Julis, from the First Age. With her intervention, the fate of humanity took a drastic turn."
"Over the next few hundred years, humans gradually mastered the power of the Demonic Order, broke free, and established the True Crimson Empire."
"Although the True Crimson Empire was not completely successful, it also symbolized the gradual rise of humanity, until a thousand years later, when the Mercury Dynasty cleared all obstacles and enemies."
"Over the past few thousand years, supernatural powers have shown a particular favor towards humans. Not only are the number of practitioners advancing to Sequence 9 several times higher than that of other races, but even fragments of divine spirits have possessed humans, creating bizarre beings like witches."
"A single brief contact with the crown has caused such a huge change. If it were fully manipulated, the impact would be incalculable. It would definitely not be just like this now."
"If she can't stand on the throne of God, then it means she is not a God, but still just a mortal."
"Even a witch is just a peculiar mortal."
"The term 'a walking, mischievous spirit' is ultimately an exaggeration, and witches will still die."
"Is it possible that she voluntarily stepped down from the throne?" Lady Filia speculated.
"Such speculation is not valid." The man who was as bright as the sun shook his head.
"If she could become a god, she would definitely use the power of a god to achieve her own ideas and wishes, rather than standing here talking to you and me."
"Giving up divine power, miring oneself in mud and filth, and insulting oneself with experiences filled with setbacks, deception, and failure is not what a high-level being would do."
"This isn't a game, but self-deception, a false and hypocritical torture against one's will. It goes against the instinct and wisdom of life, and is a double negation of the self."
"So I say, she is not a deity, at least not now."
There was a soft clapping sound from the attic, and Mrs. Filia looked at the blond man and couldn't help but sigh.
"As expected of a sage of Holy Glory, Ard. I feel like I can't refute you."
"So what specifically do you want to ask this time?"
"I want to know the specific personality and behavior of this witch from you."
"reason?"
"To see if she is qualified to lead the grand ideas and plans."
"You won't believe this witch just because of my words and advice, or rather, you never believe anyone's words, Yarde."
"Yes, but actions and movements are the continuation of will. She will eventually speak for herself and tell us through her actions."
"And now, I want to know about this witch's past from you."
Madam Filia shook her head, then nodded slowly.
"You're still like this. Even though everything you do is absolutely right, you're still not likable."
"Many girls will fall in love with you at first sight, but after a long time together, they become afraid and run away. Maybe this is why you are still single?"
"Well, I'm not interested in reproduction and mating, as you should know."
"Yes, that's why I feel more at ease and trust you after I get to know you better." Mrs. Filia drank some coffee to moisten her throat.
"I don't know much about the Witch of the Stars, but fortunately, I have had several conversations with her. This all started many years ago in a small town on the border of the West Wind, where I first met this girl..."
In the quiet attic, Mrs. Filia began to recall the silver-haired girl: her innocence, shyness, hesitation, as well as her determination, wisdom, gentleness and decisiveness.
