Chapter 322: The Weeping Son Reflected in the Water

In the past, the empire had always sent people to live here. It was very convenient to cross the Tear Moon Lake to reach the Emerald Moon Palace where the Elf Queen lived.

For safety reasons, the corolla is often inhabited by a legion of forest elves, and the headquarters of the most elite Knights of the Emerald Rose is located in this corolla.

Jelann looked beyond the shadows of the tall trees at the azure lake in the east. In the distance, the outline of the beautiful palace appeared. Occasionally, he could see fairy dragons flying over the palace. These special dragons in the forest guarded the elves and fairies and were their trustworthy allies.

Although it has been almost three months since he came to the Emerald Forest, Jelann has never had the chance to meet the Elf Queen. At most, he has seen her from afar in the Holy Tree Hall.

It seems that the marriage mentioned before has completely failed.

Feeling his own failure, Jelann walked slowly on the fallen leaves, with his hands behind his back, gazing at the scenery in the forest.

He hadn't had much hope for this marriage, so he wasn't disappointed. He just thought that when it was over and he went back a year later, the situation in the family would have changed a lot.

His father had already decided to ignore and abandon him, and his two younger brothers had already grown up. Under their father's guidance, they would gradually become opposed to him in order to suppress his influence as the eldest son.

He chose a large tree and leaned against it, resting his head on his hands. He looked at the azure sky, then slowly closed his eyes, enjoying the rare tranquility. Seeing this, the two great knights following him in the distance also stopped and stood guard at a distance, not wanting to disturb the lord's rest.

The wind blew gently, and the grass at the feet swayed, brushing against the body lying in the grass. The bright eyes made people tempted to sleep, and a cozy and comfortable feeling spread from the limbs.

That’s it, this trip to the forest doesn’t seem bad.

Thinking this, Jelan slowly fell asleep.

The wind was still blowing, the sun in the sky was slowly moving, and at 10:00 noon, the birds' singing had become much quieter.

It was as if he had had a very long dream, and when Jelann woke up, he even felt a little nostalgic and reluctant to leave.

In the afternoon, Jelann, accompanied by several White Lion Knights, arrived at the fairy hut by the lake.

These light and cheerful creatures are playing with the birds in the lake. Most of them are less than one meter tall, like miniature elves, with translucent wings.

"Here comes the big guy." An elf called out to his companions.

"Oh, it's him again. So annoying~" The blue fairy shook his head, looking like he didn't want to see him.

"The Queen asked us to sing using her manuscript, and she has already agreed." Another fairy with light pink wings dissuaded.

"Okay, okay, I'll just give Sister Aichenvila some face."

Reluctantly, several goblins gathered together and flew over, then landed on a large tree stump, so that they could overlook the approaching Jerlann and his group.

"Give it to us, Son of Man."

The green-winged fairy sat on the tree stump, with her legs crossed and an arrogant look on her face. However, her slender and petite figure made others look even more adorable.

"Please sing, fellow goblins." As usual, Jelan handed over the copied manuscript paper.

"Hmph, let me see which song it is today?" said the green-winged fairy as he turned the page.

"'The Boy Reflected in the Water, the Child Weeping Under the Moon', you've already copied this one."

Amidst the sighs, several fairies each picked up a piece of paper and passed it back and forth. They didn't seem to care about the order and were very casual.

Soon the pages began to fall from the sky, and several fairies joined hands, formed a small circle, and sang in the twilight of approaching night.

In the forest where fireflies flickered, Jelann sat cross-legged under a tree, quietly watching the fairies dancing in the night and the ancient songs being chanted.

In the song, he seemed to see a distant scenery: a young man was trudging through the forest, covering his arms, and the sound of wolves howling could be heard from behind him from time to time.

The forest was full of bushes and thorns, which tripped him and cut him, leaving him covered in dust, mud and blood.
