As the agreed time arrived, some instructors from the Temple Academy came in one after another and sat in the empty seats at the back right.
First came the head of the house, in a close-fitting white gown and a tall crowned hat, as she ascended the stage.
"Welcome everyone to the Temple of Contemplation."
There was a round of applause from the audience. The dean looked to be in his thirties. His tone of voice was not pleasant, but it made people feel comfortable. His words were clear.
