Extra: The Witch's Tea Party in the Golden Country (Part 2)

Compared to the lively and laughter-filled lobby on the first floor, the balcony outside the second floor is much quieter.

A woman in a pomegranate-red dress sat at a small round table, quietly looking at the neon-filled night scene in the distance. The night enveloped her figure, and only part of her long hair behind her was illuminated by the light, reflecting a vibrant emerald color.

Behind the witch, there is another figure. She has hair as dark as the night, standing in the shadows, with a few purple ornaments on her classic black dress.

The two of them didn't speak, and the balcony was particularly quiet.

After a long time, as the seated witch put down the teacup, the bottom of the cup and the porcelain plate touched each other, making a crisp and subtle sound.

"We haven't talked together for a long time." Her voice was very soft, and seemed to contain no other emotions.

"Yes."

After saying that, the witch behind him lowered her head slightly.

"In fact, I really want to praise you, because you have walked the most difficult part of the road. If it were me, it might not be much easier." She folded her hands in front of her body. It was just a simple movement, but it was so harmonious, like the perfect aristocratic lady or queen in ancient oil paintings.

"I'm sorry." The figure behind trembled slightly, then lowered his head and answered.

"There's no need to apologize to me."

"After we leave, you will be our leader. You are free to make whatever decisions you want, and it is your responsibility to do so. You don't need to report to anyone."

"You've done a great job in leaving your homeland, seeking refuge separately, reviving the dynasty, and seeing the rise of Mercury. Even though I haven't experienced it personally, I can understand the despair and hardship of those years from the words recorded there."

"You've done it all very well. No one entrusted you with it, and no one forced you to do it. You took many risks, paid a lot, and did it."

"Even I didn't expect that in the years to come, humans would achieve such brilliant achievements, defeating the incredibly powerful Orc Empire one after another, even overturning the World Tree and annihilating one-third of the elves."

"Selene, you accomplished all of this step by step. Although many companions joined and helped later, you were the one who persevered through the most difficult initial stages."

"If the story ended here, it would be particularly memorable and admirable." The sitting figure picked up the teacup again and took a sip of tea quietly.

"I..." The voice behind wanted to say something, but in the end said nothing.

"You're so caught up in solving problems that you forget why you're solving them."

"If you had paid a little more attention to the younger generation, Lagertis wouldn't have died alone in her own little world. With your translation and help, Dorothy would surely be more careful and cautious, and wouldn't have ended up on a completely irreversible path."

"These ignorant younger generations may seem too innocent and naive to you and me, but if we care for them patiently, they will one day grow up and become strong trees that we can rely on."

"The cruelty of war has gradually made you numb to sacrifice and death. I don't have the heart to be overly harsh on you, because numbness is a form of self-protection. But since you are in that position, you must be responsible for your words and actions."

"Therefore, I cannot praise your subsequent behavior."

"I'm sorry, Sister Atatis." Selene's voice was slightly choked.

"Okay, I told you I don't blame you." The witch in the pomegranate red dress spoke in a soft and gentle voice as she gently stroked the witch lying in her arms.

"Find an opportunity later to apologize to Lagetis and the others. Don't be too embarrassed to face them. If you really don't dare to face them, let me take you there."

The balcony gradually returned to silence, but the laughter in the hall on the second floor never stopped.

The large table in the center was filled with cards, dice, chess pieces, and various small and exquisite architectural models. Surrounding the table were witches divided into two groups. One of them looked like an exquisite white porcelain doll, wearing a Lolita dress, with a thick book across her knees. On the other side was a witch with blonde hair and a wide witch hat. She had a pocket watch with a rabbit flower pattern hanging around her waist, and there seemed to be little stars twinkling in her eyes, which was particularly moving.

Surrounding the two people sitting at the square table were witches of various appearances. They were giving advice to their representatives and laughing and chatting noisily.

"Dorothy has the advantage now. The two level 8 Hellfire Dragons on the field will be able to capture Si Ye's fortress in the next round. Si Ye won't have many high-level soldiers in his house from now on."

"I don't think so. Si Ye has been building that Mage Tower for a long time and has been pouring materials into it. Logically, it should have produced some high-level resources or troops."

"Ah, Edwina is still so cautious." Then there was another burst of laughter.

After thinking for a long time, the witch representing the referee sitting at the head of the square table finally spoke. One of her eyes was covered by her hair, and the other gray-blue eye looked at the board full of chess pieces.

"The hourglass is almost at the bottom, Dorothy."

"Yeah, I know." Dorothy looked at the various chess pieces and buildings on the table, and finally reached out her hand, picked up one of her own dragons and placed it on the opponent's castle.

"I sent one Hellfire Dragon to attack the fortress, and another to burn the nearby forest and change the terrain."

"Okay." The witch-eyed child in the center blinked and turned her fingers slightly. One by one, the cards covering the castle flew up in front of Si Ye.

"Nyx selects three of these pieces as enemy pieces, and the others will be dormant for this round. Also, because the forest is burning, the two lv.6 Emerald Moon Archers hiding there are discovered, their health reduced by 3, and they are forced to engage in battle with the lv.8 Inferno Dragon."
