Three poison dart frogs led the way. The girl slowly turned several corners and arrived at a large puddle. Several other animals were drinking there: a deer and two squirrels. A lemon-yellow poison dart frog crouched in a tree beside the puddle, its body rising and falling as if it were asleep. Even more curious was the small, delicate golden crown on its head.
Guwa~
Three small poison dart frogs jumped over to the lemon-yellow poison dart frog and called it awake. This one was slightly larger, about the size of two of Loran Hill's palms. After hearing it, it jumped down from the tree and came to the girl, looking at her with round eyes.
Loran Hill also looked at this special poison dart frog curiously. Was the small and delicate crown on its head put on by humans?
Devil Sequence 5: Golden Poison Dart Frog (Rating: Perfect Gold Level) is quite rare, the girl thought.
Wild Transcendent beasts generally rank between Common and Excellent, with rarer creatures being rarer and Perfect even rarer. The rating prefix often indicates the individual's superiority among its peers. For example, in a battle between a Perfect Gold and an Ordinary Crystal, the winner might not necessarily be the Crystal; it could be the Perfect Gold with greater talent and intelligence. In battles between Transcendent creatures, the higher Sequence doesn't guarantee victory; it depends on the specific rating.
This poison dart frog was clearly much smarter. It crouched before Loran Hill and chirped in a friendly voice, as if acknowledging the young woman as a being on its own level. So Loran Hill asked again about the red-branched poison dart tree.
After listening to it, its belly bulged and it made another proud chirping sound, as if to say, this is a small problem. Then it skipped to the edge of the puddle and chirped a few times. After hearing it, several small animals nearby ran away, and the small crown on its head also emitted a faint glow.
What was this? Loran Hill blinked in confusion, then saw the golden poison dart frog leap into the puddle and vanish. This vanished, truly vanished. The puddle wasn't deep, and Loran Hill could see right to the bottom, but after the poison dart frog jumped in, it truly vanished. Even with her special perception, she couldn't detect it.
Just as she was thinking, the poison dart frogs next to her also jumped in and disappeared.
Does this puddle have any special properties?
Loran Hill couldn't help but think of this, hesitated for a moment, then jumped lightly and jumped into the puddle that was only palm deep.
Then she felt a black screen before her eyes, and with a splash, she disappeared into the shallow water.
It was as if the world was spinning around her. Not long after, light appeared before her eyes again. Then she stumbled and stepped into a shallow pool. The cold water soaked her socks and flowed into her shoes. The world before her eyes had completely changed.
This is a colorful and bright world. The sky is extremely blue, and the clouds in the sky are just like this, no, that is it!
Loran Hill stood in this world, looking at the colorful path beside the puddle. The ground was made up of candies of various colors. Strange candy trees grew in the red sugar soil beside the road. The crown of the tree was a round whole, and its interior was a vortex shape of alternating red and white, just like lollipops. Lollipops of various sizes and colors grew on the roadside. Occasionally, large translucent stones in green, pink, white, and yellow could be seen. These seemed to be a kind of hard candy.
She looked off into the distance. At the end of the path, on a small hill, stood a candy house. Its walls were made of white nougat, sprinkled with peanuts. Its eaves and tiles were alternating pink and white soft candies. Its windows were translucent mint candies, and its door was made of chocolate, adorned with transparent jelly-like gummy bears.
This world wasn't very big; in the girl's perception, it was only about two miles in diameter, but everything seemed made of candy. It could be said to be a world of candy.
The colorful poison dart frogs that had come in earlier were also at the puddle. Three small ones were munching on the candy on the ground, while the large golden poison dart frog held a candy shaped like a candy cane, with red and white spiral patterns and a small bow in the middle. This candy cane grew under the large candy cane, like a shrub.
After arriving here, these poison dart frogs were busy eating and didn't pay much attention to Loran Hill, as if they were telling her with practical actions that they could all be eaten and were delicious.
Out of curiosity, Loran Hill slowly walked to the water's edge and took off his wet shoes, preparing to wash them. However, the water in the pool here seemed particularly clear and exuded bursts of fruity fragrance.
"Oh, if only I had some clean water. It feels weird to wash my feet with juice," the girl thought. Ignoring the coolness and comfort coming from her feet, she lifted her smooth feet, summoned the breeze, and dried them directly.
After her feet dried, she wanted to fly to the candy house, but it seemed that this world had some kind of restriction and she couldn't fly directly. She had to walk barefoot on the candy path, and she felt the delicate bumps on the soles of her feet.
Smelling the various candy aromas coming from the air, Loran Hill walked on the path and looked around. There was no human habitation here except for those poison dart frogs. The environment was bright and quiet. Occasionally, one could hear the breeze flowing, making the candy trees collide with each other with a crisp sound.
She slowly came to the candy house that looked like a cake and knocked on the door gently, but the chocolate door was not locked and it opened slightly when she touched it. She tried to ask a few times.
"Hello, is anyone here?"
