Chapter 296 New Dormitory

The new semester began, and the freshmen who had gathered in the central building parted ways, heading to their respective colleges. However, a small number of students stayed behind, and they also changed into new badges.

Originally, the freshman badges all had a central school building outlined with white lines, but these second-year students' badges have a solid white central school building.

Standing in the empty classroom, Kafura reached out and stroked the empty desks. The afternoon sun shone obliquely into the classroom, and the corridor that was once bustling was now extremely quiet.

All the classmates she disliked and liked left, and only a few people in the class chose the central school building and stayed.

Of the original sixteen classes of freshmen, only one class chose to advance to the central campus, and most of the rest went to other colleges.

Looking back, she felt a lot of emotion over what happened this year, from her initial ambition, to her self-abasement and caution, to her encounter with the black-haired girl, to her difficult pursuit, to her current composure.

During this year, she went from the bottom of the valley to the top of the mountain, and experienced both good and bad things. She is no longer as panicked and confused about life as before.

This is life, and life goes on.

-------------------------

On the other side, Loran Hill also carried his gift box and went to the Lakeside City Academy to report.

Riding the magic motorcycle on campus, passing through the snow-covered forest road, Roland sat by the window, looking at the tall spires emerging from the branches, and then the elegant and familiar white stone castle slowly came into view.

The buildings in the Walled City Academy are mainly divided into three parts: the walled city by the lake, the white castle halfway up the mountain, and the wooden classrooms and huts in the woods.

First is the fortress, where the students live. There are more than 400 small dormitories in the stone brick fortress, which is about the size of two football fields.

From the outside, the fortress looked small compared to Jingyue Lake, perhaps even less than one-tenth of its size. The white bricks and stones were tinged with a pale green, and green moss could be seen in the cracks and shadows between the bricks. Half of the building was on land, and half was in the water.

Occasionally, you can see a lot of yellowed leaves in the emerald green forest. These forests surround the lake, and the fortress stands half-hidden by the lake. The white walls and yellow-green shades of the trees are reflected in the water, which looks very quiet.

Luo Lan took the key and note her teacher had handed her and walked through the maze-like interior of the fortress. Because it was so large, despite its circular structure, the lighting was still poor. Many corridors were decorated with pale yellow flower-shaped lanterns. These lights resembled blooming morning glories, supported by metal vines. The light from within shone through thick glass, softly illuminating the depths of the fortress.

Walking in the corridor, Roland didn't meet many senior students. Most of them wore uniforms with red or green as the main colors. Some of them held swords, some wore knives, and many of them held thick copper-covered books in their hands. Compared with the noisy central school building, the dormitories here were more scattered and much quieter.

As we went down the stairs, the windows along the corridor became darker and darker, and the air became slightly chilly.

After continuous searching and positioning along the way, Loran Hill finally found his dormitory, which was at the end of a remote corridor.

Standing in the dim light, Loran took out the key and inserted it into the door nailed with thick wooden strips, and a light came into his eyes.

The wind blew in through the half-open window, lifting the light-colored curtains and making a subtle rustle. The afternoon sun streamed into the room, and tiny particles of dust drifted in the air. Through the latticed glass windows, I could clearly see the lake outside and the forest in the distance. The lake reflected the sky and the shadows of the trees, revealing a swathe of blue and green.

Loran Hill walked into the room, closed the door, and then began to look around the dormitory carefully.

The first large room you enter is directly the bedroom, which contains two large and quaint wooden beds. The dark brown headboards and legs show that these furniture are quite old, but the sheets and quilts on the beds are very white and new.

Besides the two standard bedside tables, there was also a pine wardrobe by the main door. Most of the furniture was made of pine, as the forests surrounding the Walled City Academy were mostly pine and spruce, making it easy to source locally. A faint pine scent could occasionally be smelled from the furniture.

After putting down his suitcase, Loran Hill walked to the window, opened the lattice glass window on the windowsill, and the scenery outside came into view.

The lake is about ten meters above the ground. Looking out the window, you can see the blue-green water, with the occasional fallen leaf drifting in from afar, landing on the surface and creating ripples. Looking out into the distance, you can see birds flying among the mountains and trees, chirping.

"It's very quiet here."

Although the corridor outside is rather remote and deep, Loran Hill is still quite satisfied with this dormitory.

Next to the bedroom is a slightly larger room with an empty table, cabinets, and a fireplace. It looks like this was where students used to do experiments and read books. It shouldn't be a big deal to cook there occasionally, right?

Further in is a large bathroom with a bathtub that can easily accommodate three or four people. There is a mermaid statue on the wall. Turn on the rotary switch next to it, and a steady stream of hot water will be released from the water bottle in her hand.

There was also a small corridor between the laboratory and the bathroom, with a solid iron door. Pushing open the iron door, there was a small observation deck leading directly outside. Because there were walls on both sides, the wind could be heard, but it wouldn't blow through.
