Extra: The Girl of the White Rose

I am very grateful to Luo Xier, because because of her, I can live a quiet and leisurely life for the first time.

I can sit quietly under the windowsill of the classroom, slowly flipping through my favorite books, occasionally chatting with classmates, and then under the leadership of the class monitor, everyone plans to have dinner there tonight, take a walk and play games together.

I like this kind of life very much. It is like a fish swimming in the water, free and comfortable. It has both the hustle and bustle and the peace and quiet. I can choose freely.

Gradually, I started to get in touch with Luo Xier, and it was easy to get familiar with her. It was not as difficult as I had expected.

This is not the empire, and not every girl of my age is like the young ladies in the aristocratic circle, who think a lot, are cautious and vigilant. I warned myself and tried to get along with her in the same frank manner.

As I talked more with Luo Xier, I became more and more curious about her. This girl was not as innocent as I had imagined. On the contrary, she seemed to have a clarity and freedom after understanding many things in the world.

I faced various things with peace of mind, neither anxious nor flustered. Under the warm and serious gaze of those light blue eyes, many things were done slowly and unconsciously.

Because of her existence, I began to doubt the teachings of my family for the first time. Can one's background really determine everything?

It is always a happy time to be friends with Luo Xier. I watched her whispering to the horse while learning to ride, touching the black horse's head and neck, and getting flustered when the horse licked her with its tongue. When riding on the horse's back, Luo Xier didn't know how to speed up at first, but she was reluctant to hit the horse under her. I walked up to her with a smile and told her that in fact, as long as you squeeze the horse's belly and give a signal, most trained horses will know to speed up.

During lunch break, everyone gathered in the quiet temple hall. Some plucked the strings in their hands, while others kept the rhythm. Then, encouraged by everyone, Luo Xier would stand up shyly, close her eyes, and sing softly.

In the Temple Academy, hymns are a required course, and Luo Xier is so good at it that the teachers let her be the lead singer and said it was the best they had ever heard.

I don't quite understand what standards are used to judge hymns, but I just know that when Luo Xier sings, even the birds outside the window will become quiet. I'm afraid only the singers in fairy tales can compare with her.

With the existence of this girl who was as beautiful as the silver moon, I finally experienced the lifestyle of ordinary people in my college life, as well as everyone's thoughts and hobbies. This corrected many of the misconceptions I had developed over the years and made me realize what the normal standards should be.

If only this kind of life could exist forever.

Although my father repeatedly refused, the Emperor's will became stronger and stronger. Even I, who was far away in Emenas, gradually became aware of the undercurrents in the upper echelons of the Empire.

In order to no longer embarrass my father and family, I took the initiative to return home, began to meet with the envoys sent by the Emperor, and then set off for the imperial capital under the escort of the knights.

Tittania is extremely prosperous. Even in the rich East, there is no city that can be as magnificent, lively and colorful.

After meeting a few familiar childhood playmates, they told me about the current situation of the imperial capital, and then I was taken into the palace by the red-robed messengers from the Rose Palace.

After passing through one beautiful and elegant palace after another and turning through one exquisitely carved corridor after another, we finally arrived at this courtyard.

My father and the emperor were sitting and talking in the white round pavilion in the courtyard, while I was sitting under the vine trellis, watching from afar, waiting for their conversation to end.

The afternoon sunlight shines through the flower vines, becoming fragmented and mottled. The breeze is accompanied by the chirping of cicadas. I swing slowly on the swing, looking at the green and white flower vines on the side of my hand, and my thoughts drift far away.

The marriage was almost certain, and the wonderful campus life was over. In fact, after Luo Xier gradually stopped coming to school, the school gradually became boring.

Will she get married in the future? What kind of person will she marry? I started thinking about this question, but I never got any results.

Just as I was in a daze, the maid beside me came over and reminded me. Then I stood up, gently blocked the sunlight above my head with my hands, and looked at the approaching blond prince.

The Crown Prince, Ansiel, the fiancé chosen for me by the Emperor and my father.

After my first encounter with Ansel that day, life seemed to have changed. The Crown Prince began to visit me frequently, and various discussions began to be heard in the imperial capital. They seemed to know before me that I would definitely marry this Crown Prince.

Ansel, the praised crown prince, seemed a little dazed. I could sense his nervousness when he was talking to me. As the heir to the empire, shouldn't he be a veteran in the social field? Why was he so clumsy? When I asked my brother this, he answered with an expression that looked like he wanted to laugh but was helpless.

"That's not the case, Frosia."

"As much as I hate to admit it, Ansel is indeed an outstanding person. I can't compare to him in some aspects. The reason why he acts like this in front of you is that you have forgotten your own charm."

"Let me tell you how outsiders evaluate you, my sister."

"The Sun Diamond of the Landsworthy family, the pearl in Titania's crown, hair as golden as the sun, eyes as clear and moving as lake water, a girl of stunning beauty, the future White Rose Queen of the Empire, Her Highness Frosia."

"Okay, okay, stop talking. The long-lost feeling comes to my mind again. It's so gorgeous, yet so suffocating. There's no corner to hide." I shook my head.

After knowing the reason, I no longer looked down on the crown prince, but slowly started talking to him. Gradually, I was moved by the prince. Maybe he was not the perfect marriage partner in my mind, but at least he was not a bad choice.
