Walled City Academy, Black Swan Castle.
"Don't move, dear Ye Ling~" Lily hugged Ye Ling, who was like a big doll, and pressed her in her arms to prevent her from moving.
"No, let me go. I want to go to the kitchen and make my favorite raspberry cake. No Alena, the food that woman makes is not good at all."
Ye Ling was struggling, swinging her long twin ponytails. Lily was slowly losing control of her. After all, she was a child of the Dragon Sequence, and now Ye Ling was like a little dinosaur.
Bumansha came out of the busy kitchen carrying the prepared snacks and biscuits.
"Okay, okay, stop arguing. Come, Ye Ling, eat this." She picked up the biscuit and blocked the little guy's mouth.
"Do you think you can buy me off with cookies? Woo...." Then there was the sound of chewing food.
"At least a few more plates are needed." The voice became softer.
Ye Ling ate the delicious cookies indignantly, still feeling a little dissatisfied. Why could Alena go into the kitchen and make cakes with Roland and the others while he could only sit outside?
Today was the day for the Black Water Lily Club and former roommates to get together. Not only were all eight people from the two dormitories here, but Roland had also called Kafla over, fearing that she would be too lonely in the central school building.
In the spacious kitchen, Loraine, Alena, and Lettice were busy preparing dinner. In order to take everyone's taste into consideration, they finally decided to make some desserts, cakes, and light dishes.
"This looks good. Do you want to add some?" Alena placed a white cake mold in front of her and held a bright red chili sauce in her hand, eager to try it.
“I think this color goes well with me.”
"Please don't." Loran Hill raised his hands and crossed them in refusal.
"That's right, no wonder Ye Ling is worried about you."
Lettice, wearing an apron and holding a shovel, also said with a look of objection, "I have to say, this young lady with blonde spiral ponytail looks really different in this dress."
"Well, okay, let's use mulberries to garnish it." Alena put down the red chili pepper in her hand in disappointment.
In the activity room, Niya and Kafla were chatting in front of the window, Lily and Ye Ling were rolling on the mat beside them, Bumansha was ready to hold them down, while Keti and Vimiya were sitting face to face in front of the small table, looking at each other.
"Hello, my name is Katie, and I'm Roland's roommate." The red-haired girl greeted in a friendly manner, looking at the other person curiously with her crimson eyes.
"Hello, I'm Vimiya." The blue-haired girl nodded in return, but her legs under the table were slightly clamped together because of nervousness, and she avoided the other person's gaze a little uneasily.
Vimiya had never felt this way before. The girl opposite her seemed like her natural enemy, making her feel an inexplicable fear and dread.
"Did we know each other before?" Keti tilted her head and asked Weimiya opposite her.
"I don't think she knows me." Weimiya whispered in her heart. This feeling of fear was the first time she had ever experienced it. This was a very rare situation. Could it be that this girl was even scarier than Lady Phoebe?
"Is that so? But you give me a very familiar and friendly feeling. I have the same feeling with Roland and Chris." Katie nodded, indicating that her feeling was correct.
"This...I don't know either. Is Chris referring to that adult?" Vimiya asked in a low voice.
"Chris is Chris. She loves to wear pink and white dresses and likes to look in the mirror." Katie was no longer as wary of others as before, and spoke to Vimiya without hesitation.
"If that's the case, then it might really be that person..." Vimiya hesitated. Isn't such a thing very secretive? How can they talk about it in public?
"Can Vimiya be Katie's friend?" The Witch of Fire made a simple and straightforward invitation.
"Well...it's not impossible." Vimiya pressed her fingers under her lips and answered hesitantly, "We've only known each other for less than a minute."
"Okay, from now on, Vimiya will be Katie's friend." Katie happily stretched out her hand, ready to shake hands with Vimiya. However, when the two touched, a strange pain came from between their fingers.
"Wow, it hurts." Katie withdrew her hand in surprise. This was the first time she felt pain after her rebirth. Although it was not severe, it was extremely rare.
"Let's not shake hands." Vimiya looked at Keti and felt that the situation just now was a bit strange. She instinctively wanted to avoid direct contact with the other party again.
"Okay." Katie lowered her head a little disappointedly.
Carrying a plate of cut fruit, Loran Hill walked out of the kitchen and came to the table of Katie and Vimiya.
"What's wrong?" She noticed that Katie started talking about Chris without restraint in the kitchen, and she was afraid that she would let the cat out of the bag, so she walked over quickly.
"Loran, my fingers hurt." Katie stretched out her hand. Although she said so, her expression looked like she was acting like a spoiled child.
"Let me see." After putting the plate on the table, Loran Hill checked Katie's condition. Nothing must happen to this fire witch, otherwise it would be more terrible than a nuclear bomb explosion.
The girl briefly changed her sequence to the angel sequence and carefully checked it with the calm and stable angel sequence magic, but did not find anything abnormal. The active magic in Katie's body was still so terrifying and orderly. Even if the other party allowed it to be checked without resistance, she could feel a burning sensation in her soul. It was an extraordinary flame close to the concept.
"It's almost the same as before." Loran Hill let go of Katie's hand, comforted her a few words, and then faced Vimiya who was sitting opposite him.
"Are you feeling okay, Vimiya?" She was more worried about the girl opposite her. After all, she was about the same level as herself, both were only Sequence 4, and could easily be accidentally injured by Keti.
"I'm fine." Vimiya nodded. Seeing that Loran Hill was a little worried, she also stretched out her wrist for inspection.
Loran Hill once again extended his consciousness to this familiar yet unfamiliar friend, and a feeling completely different from that of Katie came over him.
It was as if the person in front of her was not a girl, but an extremely vast ocean. She could even hear the sound of waves in her ears. The magic of the azure ocean sequence, although not yet strong, was vaguely tainted with concepts and power.
This...Loran Hill blinked with a surprised look, as if she realized something.
Vimiya raised her finger and looked around quietly, indicating that no one should speak for the time being. Loran Hill nodded, while Katie opened her eyes wide and watched the two of them playing dumb.
"Loran, the food in the pot is almost done. What should we do next? I don't know." Lettice's voice came from the kitchen at the right time.
"Okay, I'll be right there." She stood up, nodded to Vimiya, and then walked into the kitchen. The activity room returned to its previous noisy state.
