Hong Lang glanced at Bai Jue's retreating figure and was about to go find Chong Jiu when she suddenly remembered the little white tiger that Young Master Yan Xi had contracted.
"Wait, did you know that Young Master Yan Xi has formed a contract with a white tiger cub?"
Bai Jue was taken aback for a moment, then shook his head. "Young Master doesn't need to report this to me, so why should I know?"
“What if this little white tiger is a divine beast?” Honglang stared at him intently.
Bai Jue's expression changed drastically. "What? Someone's trying to steal my job!"
A vein throbbed on Hong Lang's forehead. She decided to ignore him and turned to leave.
He was worried that something might happen to him, yet he still had the mind to joke.
Bai Jue immediately caught up, straightened his expression, and asked, "Is it really a divine beast?"
Honglang glanced at him and nodded.
Bai Jue thought for a moment and said, "Let's go take a look."
The two walked towards Yanxi Palace.
Yan Xi was cultivating at the time, so the two of them didn't disturb her when they arrived, but sat outside and waited.
By the time Yan Xi stopped cultivating, it was almost evening.
Upon seeing the two of them, Yan Xi was surprised, "Uncle Hong, Uncle Bai."
She had met Bai Jue at Shu Jianyue's place last night and knew that he was one of Chongjiu's guardian beasts, so it was not inappropriate to call him Uncle Bai.
Hong Lang was used to it, but Bai Jue wasn't. His facial muscles twitched slightly as he said, "Young Master, perhaps you could change how you address me?"
"You can call me Brother Bai if you want." He didn't want to be called an uncle; he felt like he was too old.
Even though he is tens of thousands of years old now, he doesn't feel old at all.
