Although Lian Sheng was a step slower than Chong Jiu, she still heard Shu Jian Yue's words and looked at the gatekeeper, asking, "When was this rule issued? Who made it? How come we didn't know about it?"
The man sized up Lian Sheng, and seeing that she wasn't an acquaintance, he immediately said arrogantly, "Naturally, it's a rule set by the Gong family. Does the Gong family need your consent to issue a rule?"
Lian Sheng laughed, "The Gong family has so much power that they actually refused to let everyone worship the God. I'll have to ask them who gave them that power."

Chong Jiu nodded, "I will do as you say, Madam."
Lian Sheng nodded immediately, glanced at the gatekeeper, and left.
The man clicked his tongue and said with a disdainful look, "You've changed them all? You think you can just change the people here like that?"
