"The Bad City" is finally over.
As usual, let me summarize this volume. If you don’t want to read it, you can just skip it~~ (dog head).
Originally, I planned to finish this volume at 500,000 or 600,000 words, but before I knew it, I had written nearly 750,000 words, making it the longest volume so far.
It’s not that Sanjiu wants to add more words, but there is simply too much content to write in this volume.
Entering the human circle, reuniting at night, destroying the divine power, returning to Daxia, training new soldiers, the red moon rising, the fall of the mask, the destruction of the world by Shangxie, the fall of Gaotian God, the arrival of heaven... All the links seem to be unrelated, but they are all linked together. Under the layout of the God of Time and the God of Daxia, the destruction of Takama-ga-hara was achieved.
To simplify things, Sanjiu summarized the core of what he really wanted to write about this volume into two words: pioneer and inheritance.
Let’s talk about the first one first, the pioneer.
So far, the most representative quality of "Slaying God" is the sacrifice and protection of the Night's Watch. After describing it in two consecutive volumes, Sanjiu hopes to depict something different through the different background of "human circle".
A large part of this volume is devoted to the "human circle", and the story of the "human circle" is essentially a process of awakening, resistance, sacrifice, and victory.
Yuuri Kurozhe, Amamiya Haruki, and the Yuuri siblings are all awakened people who grew up under theocracy. They are also the pioneers who destroyed the old era with their own hands and ushered in the new era for all beings in the "human circle".
The wisdom, reflection, perseverance and courage that exist in them, this unique ideological awareness, is a quality that is different from that of the night watchmen, but equally shining.
The expression of this quality may not be as intuitive and passionate as that of The Night Watchman, but Sanjiu still wants to write about it. It is an attempt and also a kind of respect.
Second, inheritance.
At the end of the previous volume, Sanjiu has summarized that the core of the first volume is "God", and the core of the second volume is "Man can conquer Nature", which represent the five human ceilings of ordinary professions.
The core of this volume is growth and inheritance.
I don’t know if you have noticed that in this volume, the ones who truly shine are all the younger generation.
It is not a god, nor the ceiling of mankind, but a new generation that symbolizes hope and the future, which is the "seed" sown by Ye Fan at the end of the previous volume.
Wu Xiangnan, Wang Mian, and Lin Qiye, three young people representing different special teams, are tasked with their own missions to kill the only god in Takamagahara.
Different from Zhou Ping who killed gods with one sword in the previous volume, the process of these three people killing gods was very tortuous, because they were young, because this was their growth, and growth was destined to be difficult and bumpy.
With Wu Xiangnan's transformation, [Blue Rain] was completely destroyed; and as Wang Mian fought against time step by step, [Mask] did not completely disappear; [Night] inherited the number of [Blue Rain] and was rising strongly; and at the same time, in the recruit training camp, young and hopeful seeds were also slowly growing.
These four processes constitute a cycle.
This is the inheritance.
After talking about the core content of this volume, let’s talk about some of the voices that Sanjiu saw in the comments on this volume.
Well, the biggest voice among them is the collapse of combat power.
“…”
Actually, Sanjiu is a little confusing, (??_??)?
Generally speaking, the calls for the collapse of combat power mostly focus on a few core issues, which Sanjiu will briefly respond to here.
First, in the “human circle”, how could Qiye fight back and forth with the oracle of the “Klein” realm, and even kill him?
There is no doubt that Lin Qiye’s own realm was only at the “Sea” realm at that time, but the key point is... he has the Huojin Sword!
The Huojin Sword itself is a weapon with powerful strength that can be used by ordinary people. Their combat power comes from the Huojin Sword itself. It has been described before using Yuuri Takishiro's eyes. When Yuuri Heizhe does not wear the Huojin Sword, his level is lv18, but after wearing the sword, his level reaches lv69.
Amamiya Haruki, Hoshimi Shouta, Yurina... They are all ordinary people who can fight against the Oracle with the Horjin Sword. As a "Sea" realm fighter, it is not difficult for Nanaya to defeat the Oracle with the Horjin Sword in hand. What's more, the strength of the Oracles varies and cannot be generalized.
The second is the incredible performance of the protagonist group during the Battle of Shenlong Pass.
After a careful look, Sanjiu found that the only ones who could truly be called incredible were Jiang Er and Lin Qiye.
As for Jiang Er, Sanjiu had said it when she first appeared that the [Spiritual Field] could be used regardless of the mental realm, and its limitation was the target's emotional fluctuations (Chapter 490), so Jiang Er was able to possess the "mysterious" beast of the "Klein" realm for a second, seize the opportunity, and use the terrifying blow it had brewed to hit the "Klein" realm beast next door, killing it instantly.
This process has nothing to do with Jiang Er's own realm.
As for Lin Qiye... after he merged with the God of Magic, he was indeed a cheater, but this was also a level-crossing under reasonable settings, and he only used it once in the entire third volume, so it shouldn't be considered a collapse in combat power, right?
Finally, Wu Xiangnan, Wang Mian, and Qiye joined forces to kill Susanoo.
To be honest, relying on two artifacts, three forbidden spell formations, a human ceiling, a solar law, and Lin Qiye who was amplified to the divine realm by the futon, it should be reasonable for this lineup to kill Susanoo, who has been reduced in intelligence, seriously injured, and has lost the sword of Ama Murakumo, right?
What's more, the Sword of Ame-no-Musakumo and the [Divine Disaster] did not fall from the sky. The former was brought out from Takama-ga-hara by Nanaya after surviving a life-threatening situation, and the latter is the product of the combination of the nine swords of Hujin, which is completely in line with the advancement of the plot. The only thing that can be considered external is a cushion left by Tianzun.
This process cannot be replicated or repeated.
Here, Sanjiu still wants to say a few more words. "Slaying Gods" has never been a simple story of leveling up and fighting monsters. It is not like the traditional fantasy novels. After I made a breakthrough, all the people I met around me were at the same level. I could only fight with people at the same level step by step, and then simply kill them by crossing levels.
From the very beginning, the combat power of this book is diverse. It is not only the protagonist's level who walk on the street. When the protagonist is still in the "Zhan" realm, he can encounter enemies in the "Chi", "Chuan", "Hai", "Klein" and even the God realm. He can fight with enemies in the "Wulian" realm, or he can return to the training camp to abuse the rookie recruits.
If killing a god across levels means the power of the fighter is destroyed, then it would have been completely destroyed at the end of the first volume when Lin Qiye, carrying the miraculous power of the Seraph, killed Loki's clone alone.
Perhaps there are some small fluctuations in combat power due to some details, but Sanjiu believes that this is still far from the so-called collapse.
Finally, there is the question about Cthulhu.
At the end of the first volume, Sanjiu had already said that since the book involved too many pantheons, it would not be ranked completely according to the original mythological combat power, that is, the combat power would be reshuffled.
The Cthulhu mythology itself is an exaggerated fantasy story. If it is introduced into the book as it is, it will definitely cause collapse. Therefore, Sanjiu will not write it like other Cthulhu novels. It will make some changes while retaining its style and characteristics.
Just like Indian mythology, Norse mythology, Bactrian mythology, etc.
So far, we are more than halfway through the book.
The next few volumes will definitely not be longer than this one, and there will not be such a large-scale "human circle" plot. At most, it will exist as a small copy. Starting from the next volume, it will be an all-out war of gods.
Well, that concludes the summary of this volume.
I hope everyone will not keep reading this book, but follow it more often. If you like it, please recommend it to people around you, or give a small reward... ahem.
