Chapter 107 First Mission

On Tuesday morning, Su Jin got up in a daze and just went to wash up when she heard Lu Shiyi and Zong Li talking.

"Wife, I have to go on a mission, which may take two weeks. You take care of yourself at home." Lu Shiyi whispered to Su Jin.

"Ayi, this is for you!" Su Jin discovered a Chinese medicine pharmacy. There were cabinets as high as the entire wall, and drawers were installed one after another. Each drawer was marked with the name of the medicine.

She stuffed some Chinese medicine powder packets into the cloth bag, took out a small bottle, and pressed it into his hand.

"Carry these two with you, don't lose them." Su Jin stuffed them into Lu Shiyi's hands, "There are hemostatic powder, some anesthetic powder, trauma medicine, etc. in them. Use them as you see fit."

The cloth bag that Su Jin stuffed into Lu Shiyi was made by herself, so she could explain it even if someone saw it.

"Okay!" Lu Shiyi put the things into the pocket of his training uniform to ensure that they would not fall out due to running.

"I'll put this in a bag and you can hang it around your neck. As long as you're still breathing, this will support you back."

Lu Shiyi held Su Jin in his arms: "Wait for me to come back and take care of your family."

"Go quickly!" Su Jin knew that Lu Shiyi had taken time off to come back and pack his luggage. He simply packed his training uniform.

They have special clothes for missions, and these training uniforms will be sealed in the office. They pack up the clothes just to reassure their families.

Lu Shiyi kissed her forehead, turned around and left.

Su Jin stood at the window, watching Lu Shiyi leading Zong Li away, and her heart suddenly felt empty.

She was a little confused for a moment, not knowing what to do. Only when the alarm clock on the table rang did she come to her senses.

Su Jin changed her clothes and went to the kitchen. She made a simple breakfast, ate it at the small table in the kitchen, and then soaked it in the sink.

She returned to the house and went out with her schoolbag. When she was pushing the cart, she heard Yunfeng calling her outside the door.

"Shi Yi is out on a mission, so let me take care of you." Yun Feng looked at Su Jin, who was looking listless, and said hurriedly, "Lao Lin has also gone with them, so we should just stay home and protect the family."

"Sister-in-law...did they go together?" Su Jin became more worried about Lu Shiyi's mission this time after hearing Yun Feng's words.

"We used to work together a lot. I can accompany you through your confinement period when I come back for vacation." Yun Feng comforted Su Jin. "When we first got married, Lao Lin never told me about his missions, but Shi Yi reported you directly. He did a much better job than Lao Lin."

The two of them rode their bikes to school. When they stopped the car, Yunfeng called Su Jin.

"Shall I take you home at noon?" Yun Feng asked Su Jin. Lu Shiyi was worried that Su Jin would not be excited for the journey back, so he specifically asked Yun Feng to help take care of her.

Su Jin waved her hands repeatedly: "I remember the way back. Doesn't sister-in-law have classes this afternoon?"

Yunfeng asked Su Jin again and again and got the answer of yes, so Yunfeng had to give up.

Su Jin went straight to the classroom. There were only two classes today. After resting in the classroom for ten minutes, she went straight to class.

It was almost 11 o'clock when Su Jin finished her second class. She left the school with a pile of homework books, planning to take her homework home today.

"Teacher Su?" Gong Li came out of the office and saw Su Jin leaving the corridor. "Don't you want to go to the office and take a rest?"

Su Jin shook her head: "Something happened at home today, so I might have to go back early."

"It's a good time to go back and rest. The school is going on a spring outing on Thursday. Except for the homeroom teacher, all other teachers don't have to come to class." Gong Li stood in the corridor and told Su Jin the news. "I wanted to tell you in the office, but luckily I ran into you."

"Then I won't come on Thursday. You'll have to work harder." Su Jin thought that there was only one day's homework left, and since the children were going out to play, they should be very tired.

"Do you want to assign some more homework?" Gong Li knew Su Jin's habits and thought about giving her the first 15 minutes of class.

Su Jin shook her head: "That's all the homework. We need to rest when we get home from the spring outing."

Gong Li stood in the corridor and watched her leave. She admired Su Jin for considering the children. No wonder the children liked her.

Su Jin rode her bike out of the school gate and directly put the homework books in her bag into the space, thinking of riding her bike to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy some White Rabbit snacks.

As she rode her bike on the road, she noticed that there were more and more team members wearing red armbands, and occasionally military trucks would pass by her.

While waiting to cross the road, she turned her head to look at the passenger seat of a military truck, and saw Lu Shiyi wearing camouflage makeup appear in her sight. Their eyes met, and she just smiled. He only had time to say in lip language, "Go home quickly and take care of yourself."

Junka just left from the side. Su Jin stood by the road with her cart, looking in the direction where Junka left, her eyes becoming more and more moist.

She parked her bike in front of the supply and marketing cooperative, took her meat and sugar coupons and went in to buy things. She bought a 3-jin piece of pork belly, but the stall owner didn't take her coupons and sold her two pig's trotters and a set of pig offal.

"You always take care of business, so I'll sell it to you!" The stall owner whispered to Su Jin, "Don't say you didn't use the ticket later, otherwise they will come to ask for it."

"Thank you!" Su Jin smiled and said, "I'll come to buy things from you again in the future."

Su Jin carried the meat and pig's trotters to the counter selling milk candy, and ordered a pound of White Rabbit candy, which made the old lady next to her mutter that she didn't know how to live.

"I used my own allowance and tickets. Does it have anything to do with you?" Su Jin didn't care about the other party's faults.

The old lady was speechless. Her daughter-in-law had no job and spent her son's money, but she acted superior in front of her daughter-in-law.

Unexpectedly, they encountered a tough guy today. The young wife next to the old lady immediately apologized to Su Jin.

"My mother-in-law said at home that I was used to it and looked down on those who were extravagant." The young wife said aggrievedly, "I hope you can forgive her."

"It's okay. Not everyone is your daughter-in-law. Don't take advantage of your age to bully others." Su Jin muttered a few words and said nothing more for the sake of his young wife.

Su Jin took the money and ticket to buy the candy, turned around and left.

The old lady stayed where she was, jumping up and down, angrily scolding her daughter-in-law for not speaking up for her.

"Mother-in-law, didn't you see the military coupons she used?" The young wife angrily scolded her mother-in-law. If Su Jin hadn't taken the military candy coupons, she wouldn't have apologized. "Even if she's not a soldier, she's still a soldier's wife. Can our family afford to offend her?"

The teller looked at the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in front of him and sent them away with a few words. There were only two taels of oil, and they had been wasting time here for half an hour.

"Don't block us here, there are other people who want to buy things." The teller rolled his eyes at the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Su Jin often came to buy White Rabbit milk candy and had a very good relationship with the teller. After hearing what the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law said, the smile disappeared from her face.

"Yes!" The young wife immediately pulled her mother-in-law out and said, "Grandma, we can't buy anything else. The money only gave us these two taels of oil coupons."

Su Jin put the things in the bicycle basket and rode towards the family compound. The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law saw them at the door, and the younger daughter-in-law looked at them with envy.
