Chapter 249 Preparations for Winter Hunting

As September arrived, the children should have gone to school, but Su Jin discovered that all the schools in the county were closed, and a few children were studying with Mr. Wei on the farm.

Su Jin had just finished translating a book she needed, so she put the translated papers into a file bag and handed it directly to the person GA had stationed here.

She walked out of the office with a relaxed look on her face. Mr. Wei was giving a lecture in the threshing ground.

Yunfeng is another teacher. She is sitting at a temporarily arranged desk and correcting homework.

"Sister Yunfeng, why didn't you let the children leave the farm to go to school?" Su Jin has been busy translating materials for the past two months, and her life goes back and forth between the office and home. Even Hanhan is taken care of more by Lu Shiyi.

"Xiao Jin, are you done yet? Did Ayi take Hanhan to get his injection?" Yun Feng heard Su Jin's voice with a faint smile on her face. "The situation in the county is not good. Most of the teachers in the school are unable to teach, and the students are studying according to their own thoughts."

Su Jin frowned slightly. It seemed that the situation was very serious. Now were the darkest two years, and the teacher was having a hard time.

If Yunfeng and Su Jin had not resigned early, they would probably have been dragged into this mess.

"I just finished my work and haven't been paying attention to the situation outside. The factory is quite peaceful for now, but I think it's going to be chaotic down the mountain again." Su Jin remembered that Wang Dahong and the others were teaching the children to read. "I'm going to look for Ayi and Hanhan first. Hanhan is going to the clinic for vaccinations today."

In the military district family compound, children of soldiers will receive vaccinations, which is a benefit provided by the military district hospital to the children of soldiers.

"Xiao Jin, when you are done with your work, come over later to teach together." Sister Yunfeng knew Su Jin's teaching level.

Su Jin and Yun Feng chatted for a few more minutes, then turned around and walked quickly to the outpatient clinic.

Because of Su Jin's work, Wu Jun and Lin Zitao cooperated and rarely let Lu Shiyi go out on missions.

He is devoted to protecting Xiaojin and Hanhan, mother and son. The family members envy Su Jin, but they cannot do Su Jin's job.

"Wife, you're here?" Lu Shiyi heard the noise at the door and looked outside. Hanhan was about to cry, but he shut up when he saw Su Jin coming.

Wang Boya had just given Hanhan a vaccination, and the little guy's funny expression made her happy.

Hanhan lay in Lu Shiyi's arms, his eyes red, looking at Su Jin aggrievedly.

"Wife, Hanhan started to cry as soon as he came to the outpatient clinic. Doctor Wang coaxed him for a long time before he stopped crying." Lu Shiyi complained directly.

Su Jin reached out and hugged Hanhan who had just received the injection, and patted his back with her right hand.

"Doctor Wang, thank you so much!" Su Jin looked at Wang Boya gratefully.

"Teacher Su, Hanhan needs another vaccination in 10 days." Wang Boya's words made Su Jin feel the little guy in her arms tremble. "Also, he'll need to take sugar pills in another six months."

"Okay!" Su Jin nodded. "Ayi, I finally finished translating the book these two days. I can spend the next two days with Hanhan."

Lu Shiyi's lips curled up slightly: "I stopped some of my work just to protect your safety. Doctor Wang is a doctor sent from above, and I'll need her cooperation when necessary."

"Teacher Su, I'm the health doctor at Excalibur, so..." Wang Boya introduced her other identity, "If you're sick, please come to the outpatient clinic as soon as possible."

"Doctor Wang, please prepare the trauma medicine as soon as possible!" Su Jin reminded Wang Boya.

"No problem. If the medical staff in the outpatient clinic are not working, just follow me into the mountains. At least we have to collect herbs." Su Jin looked at Wang Boya and said.

Hanhan got the vaccination and fell asleep soon. The farmland at the foot of the mountain had no harvest, so many villagers went into the mountains to pick products, and many herbs were dug up as wild vegetables.

"Teacher Su, herbs are becoming increasingly scarce. We probably have to go deep into the mountains to pick them," Wang Boya said helplessly. "Many villagers don't even know what these herbs are. They taste them before digging them up, and if they're not poisonous, they'll eat them."

Su Jin smiled bitterly after hearing this. The people in the commune had already distributed the relief food.

"In that case, let's have Ayi lead the team deep into the mountains to dig for herbs. We'll need to make a lot of frostbite ointment in winter, and wild boar oil is the best ingredient." Su Jin instructed Lu Shiyi, "If any wild boars come down the mountain, lead the team to shoot them. It would be best if we could get a third of the wild boar oil."

Wang Boya admired the frostbite ointment made by Su Jin. Not only did it smell much better, it also had no smell of lard at all.

"Teacher Su, can I help you?" Wang Boya pleaded.

"That's right. There are a lot of herbs in the antifreeze cream, which neutralizes the smell of wild boar oil." Su Jin explained. Wang Boya looked at her expectantly. "I will try my best to learn it in the future."

The family of three left the clinic. Lu Shiyi watched several family members carrying their children towards the clinic. After greeting them, they returned home.

After Lu Shiyi coaxed Hanhan to sleep, he heard Su Jin calling him.

Entering the small kitchen, Su Jin had just fried a lot of crispy pork and was preparing to fry the lean wild boar meat.

"These are all lean wild boar meat, just waste oil!" Su Jin said helplessly, "If you fried something else, you can just fry this wild boar meat, or dry the pork and give it to the team members as food."

Lu Shiyi reached out and hugged her: "Wife, the cook team leader didn't know how to deal with these lean meats at first, so I made some dried meat and crispy pork for you."

"It's enough to help the fat squad leader!" Su Jin said happily.

"The teams at the foot of the mountain all requested their members to go into the mountains to hunt wild boars. Except for one given to each village, the rest will be sent to our farm." Lu Shiyi told Su Jin that after the hunting operation on the mountain began, winter hunting would no longer be carried out at the foot of the mountain.
