Chapter 59 Su Jin's Angry Rebuke

The family members listened to Ruan Tao's crying in shock. Su Jin looked towards the sentry's position and found that the team members on duty were standing at the door with a man and a woman.

"You can't afford to eat, so you want to sell your granddaughter?" Yun Feng was instantly furious. "You hate Hu Teng so much that you use his family as long-term laborers."

Su Jin's eyes lit up, and he reached out and patted Yun Feng's shoulder, asking her to control her temper and that it was not worth it to get angry over Jipin.

"You led the traffickers into the yard. The children were all playing outside. If they went in and stole the children, the military district would become a laughing stock." Su Jin said casually, turning to look at Yun Feng, "Sister-in-law, let me put the bamboo basket back first."

Su Jin left the crowd and hurried home. The cloth covering her bamboo basket had fallen off at some point, and without the cover, she could not put the things in the basket into the space.

The bamboo basket with a lid that Lu Shiyi had woven was not finished yet, so she could only use this one for now.

After entering the door and putting down the bamboo basket, Su Jin stood in the kitchen, took a bottle of iced cola from the space and drank it, threw the bottle into the trash can in the space, turned around and left home.

Not far from home, I met Lu Shiyi and Lin Zitao.

"Is Aunt Hu making trouble again?" Lin Zitao heard the guard say that Aunt Hu was making trouble at the door. As soon as he walked out of the office door, Lu Shiyi stopped him and asked him to go in together.

"Aunt Hu wanted to sell Xiao Ya to human traffickers and was about to bring the traffickers into the yard. Ruan Tao protected her daughter." Su Jin was in the crowd, listening to what her sisters-in-law said and summarized it.

Human traffickers!?

Lu Shiyi and Lin Zitao exchanged glances. There were many children in the courtyard, so they immediately raised the level of the problem.

Lin Zitao walked quickly to the gate of the courtyard. The crowd made way for him and the guards immediately escorted a middle-aged man and a woman over.

"Political Commissar, these two people were hired by Aunt Hu to buy a child. They did not show any ID or letter of introduction." When the sentry heard Ruan Tao say that they were human traffickers, he immediately arrested the people and questioned them.

Lu Shiyi came over holding Su Jin's hand. Su Jin looked up at the two of them. The man was wearing a Zhongshan suit and the woman was wearing a Lenin suit. To outsiders, they looked like successful people.

Su Jin looked into the crowd and saw Hu Teng standing next to Ruan Tao in his training uniform, holding Xiao Ya in his left hand to comfort his wife and daughter.

Aunt Hu was stopped by Hu Teng's subordinates. They allowed her to throw a tantrum without moving an inch. They would not let her hold Xiao Ya again.

"Are these two a couple?" Su Jin asked after looking at them.

The man was being held with his hands behind his back. When he heard her voice, he quickly looked up and stared at her face with lustful eyes.

Lu Shiyi immediately stepped forward to block the man's gaze.

"Take him to the interrogation room and call the police." Lu Shiyi ordered coldly, "Hu Teng, it's time for you to make a decision."

"Minister Lu, Political Commissar, I'll fight to the death. Even if I don't get promoted, I'll cut ties with my family." Hu Teng's eyes were red as he stared at Aunt Hu with a chilling heart. "Mom, do you really treat me like your son? There's a transport truck coming into the city today. I'll take you and my younger sister home. From now on, apart from the annual alimony for you and Dad, I won't pay a penny to our family."

Aunt Hu listened to Hu Teng's words and cried again, saying that her son was unfilial. She caught Su Jin's disdainful look from the corner of her eye and instantly became furious.

"You slut, if you hadn't instigated discord between my daughter-in-law and me, would she have alienated my son from me?" Aunt Hu remembered Su Jin's words to comfort Ruan Tao, and went towards Su Jin.

"You want a mother to be kind and a son to be filial. A mother must be kind before a son can be filial. If a mother is not kind and a son still listens to her, that's foolish filial piety." Su Jin said sarcastically, "Aren't daughters born and raised by their parents? Your mother-in-law didn't raise her when she was young, but now she wants to control her daughter-in-law to support her in her old age? If you meet a mother-in-law with a good temper, a daughter-in-law will be happy to take care of her in her old age. If you meet someone like you, it's also thanks to your sister-in-law's kindness."

As soon as Su Jin said this, the daughters-in-law responded one after another. They followed the army to take care of the household affairs, and wanted to send some gifts to their parents' home during the holidays to show their filial piety. If the mother-in-law and husband were good, the daughter-in-law would let the daughter-in-law send it back. Some daughters-in-law were not happy with their lives in their parents' home, and did not think about sending anything back.

"That's right. Sister-in-law's family sends her food every month. Otherwise, your family would be even more miserable." Wang Dahong and others came to Ruan Tao's aid and said, "Xiao Qi sends packages to your house every month. He knows it best."

Qi Sen was pushing a cart over. He listened to Wang Dahua and took out the package registration book as evidence.

Hu Teng's cheeks flushed as he looked at the things the Ruan family sent to their home. He lowered his head in shame. The Yue family was trying their best to help, but Aunt Hu was still not satisfied.

"The Ruan family has something to give to that little bitch. Even if she marries my son, the thing still belongs to me." Aunt Hu said unreasonably.

"The Ruan family wants their daughter to live a comfortable life, not for you to be dominated by your mother-in-law. You have no right to dominate." Su Jin retorted. Seeing the extremely bad mother-in-law, she felt itchy. "Even if there is a distribution, it is the Hu Teng couple who will distribute it."

"Hu Teng, your mother can't go back for the time being." Liu Chuchang came out of the interrogation room, followed by two female members of the patrol team.

Hu Teng's heart skipped a beat. When he entered the mountain, he heard rumors that there was a traitor in the courtyard. He was worried that Aunt Hu was involved with those people.

Liu Chuchang waved his right hand, and two female soldiers came out from behind and went straight towards Aunt Hu.

"Director Liu, my mother..." Hu Teng looked at the scene in front of him and felt a little scared.

"I'll give you one day to clean up your house. You are serving in the army, so it's right for you to cut off ties with your hometown." Liu Chuchang hinted to Hu Teng.

Wu Jun and Lin Ziteng both value Hu Teng's abilities, and if he doesn't handle the relationships at home well, he will probably be implicated.

"Yes!" Hu Teng looked at his daughter's timid expression and immediately assured her, "I have a younger sister at home."

"Your sister was taken to the interrogation room yesterday." Lu Shiyi kindly explained, "You will be suspended from work starting today and stay home until you are notified by your superiors to return to work."

"Yes!" Hu Teng agreed immediately, "Minister Lu, I need to call the village committee back home."

"There's been some unrest in the courtyard lately. Parents should be extra vigilant about their children's safety," Lin Zitao announced to the crowd. "Everyone, go home and think carefully about what happened today."

At Lin Zitao's command, everyone dispersed.

"Old Lu, take your sister-in-law to the office. Hu Teng should take his wife and daughter with him." Lin Zitao looked at Hu Teng. "Don't be stupid. I can't take care of the family anymore."

"Political Commissar, don't worry." Hu Teng had long been disappointed with his family, but since Aunt Hu and Little Sister Hu were here, he couldn't say much, for fear that his wife's reputation would be affected.

Now, Aunt Hu and her daughter have obviously been used. As long as the Hu family is not confused, Hu Teng can be saved.

"Come back after you finish the call." After Lin Zitao instructed Lu Shiyi, he turned to look at Yunfeng, "Wife, put your things back first, and let's go to the interrogation room together."

The interrogation room was full of soldiers, and they couldn't handle a tantrum like Aunt Hu.
